A Dream Come True - 2/6/11 4-day Bahama Cruise

Surgeon emailed me Saturday morning! CT scan showed that my leg is fully healed so I can go ahead and get the metal plate out!! (Now, let's hope I can get it done before the cruise!!)

My newest niece made her appearance today at 1:53pm. She and mom are doing well. She is *clearly* a child of my brother's/member of our family, as she was on time and on budget. Who knew that babies actually came on their due date!

Whew! Ticking off the boxes on my way to our cruise.

Congratulations! That's wonderful news, and a VERY considerate child. I like when they arrive on time. Mine didn't (almost three weeks late), my first granddaughter was two weeks late and the twins were six weeks early!

Yessir!

November 16th is my scheduled surgery date. I'll be on crutches "through the holidays" but I was last year, so what's new?

Congratulations! That's wonderful news, and a VERY considerate child. I like when they arrive on time. Mine didn't (almost three weeks late), my first granddaughter was two weeks late and the twins were six weeks early!

Well, my brother was 16 days late. That was probably the last time he was late. (Amusingly, he was due on our aunt's b-day but arrived on our uncle - husband of the aunt- b-day instead. They don't forget his birthday - ha!)

I've been taking this supervisor training course, which is entirely a waste of time. Today, we learned about personality types based on the i-OPT method. Unsurprisingly, I'm an organized thinker. I think my husband would have to be a disorganized thinker. We still haven't committed to buying airfare. Not sure what we're waiting on!

Had some great news today--our expected grandchild is a girl! That will make three girls and one boy. She will be named Wilhelmina Grace, and is expected to arrive on March 7! If (and only if) she arrives on St. Patrick's Day, she will be named Mary Elizabeth, after my DIL's great-grandmother, who was born on that date.

I'm four weeks from my knee surgery today! I think I broke a toe over the weekend (same leg), so at least that will be healed by surgery? YES, I am a klutz. NO, the repeated knee surgeries have NOTHING to do with being a klutz - go figure!

No idea about pirate night. As for dinner/show time, we got it in the mail, last week. It was somewhat generic looking, but it did say Disney Cruiseline. (I thought it was junk, admittedly. But it's Disney. I opened it)

I emailed my TA, and she got right back to me with the information. The next day I got the "generic looking" mail. It actually looked like a court summons! I opened it because I figured if Disney was ordering me to appear, I wouldn't want to miss it! We're all watching our mail carefully at home in case Disney sends out something addressed to all three of us. Shannan still doesn't know about her trip, and I'd hate for her to find out by getting the mail!

I thought the same thing...it looked like a jury duty note!
