I emailed my surgeon. I still haven't heard back, yet. I know he has a Blackberry! What's slowing him down?!

Still waiting to hear from the surgeon. I'm SO impatient! But then, I think anyone in my shoes might well be. Life is on hold, dangit, until I hear back from him!

Surgeon emailed me Saturday morning! CT scan showed that my leg is fully healed so I can go ahead and get the metal plate out!!



(Now, let's hope I can get it done before the cruise!!)

Looks like I can! After a typical email exchange with my surgeon, he told me to contact his assistant tomorrow to schedule it for November. I'll be on crutches through the holidays, but that's okay. That's about 5 weeks off crutches before the cruise!

I'm home from Disney

Now its time to get excited for the cruise!

Yay for no more metal plate!

I'll be so glad to have it in my hand, rather than on my knee!!

OH AND!

My newest niece made her appearance today at 1:53pm. She and mom are doing well. She is *clearly* a child of my brother's/member of our family, as she was on time and on budget. Who knew that babies actually came on their due date!

Whew! Ticking off the boxes on my way to our cruise.
