A Dream Come True - 2/6/11 4-day Bahama Cruise

We did b2b a while back. We had a great time! We handled it like two separate cruises. Once we stayed on the ship in Nassau, once we got off. Once we went to Serenity Bay at Castaway Cay, once we stayed at the family beach. Since we had seen all the shows the first time, we skipped all but Disney Dreams and did things like take nice long walks on deck 9 and watched the night go by.

On the second part of the cruise, the staff treated us like royalty. We arranged to have the same dining room servers and they took even better care of us the second time.

We though about doing that this time, but with the granddaughter coming along, we decided it wouldn't be quite as peaceful and relaxing. My old first grade teacher (from about 1,000 years ago) would say that Shannan could talk a hole in an iron pot.

I can't wait for our first B2B! I have heard the same things from others on the Disboad, that you can have two totally different experiences and that DCL spoils you just a little!

Love that saying "talk a hole in an iron pot", never heard that before but will use it often!!!

Today ... if I could ... I'd swim to Castaway Cay.
Or better yet - a deserted island.

That lovely island looks like the one used in "Spongebob Squarepants". Yes, I spend way too much time watching TV with the grandkids!;)
... Anywhere near Bikini Bottom?

Hahahahahahahahhahahahah ...funny.

B2B...oh good for you!!! I think I would spend the first one being busy and the second one doing absolutely nothing.

Oh Rosie!

You're still going? :rolleyes1
Gee - I thought we Lost you.
Not that we would "TRY" to lose you - NEVER :sad2:

Let me show you the
Dream's Grand Stairway Rosie!

Ooooops! :rolleyes1

Quit it! That hurts!!

And this time I'm taking shiny pebbles on our walk and not bread crumbs like the last time....

So what does everyone think of the $75 upcharge for Remy's? I'll never EVER be able to convince Jeremy to eat there but I can live vicariously through everyone else!!

We're done with all our vacations now, so it's time to start looking forward for the cruise. Huzzah!

I'm not cheap by any means....but $25 is about my limit for an upcharge for dinner....

For $75 Mickey better be my server! :lmao:

I'm sure that there will be lots of people who eat there. Some because they like the cuisine, some because they want to show off that they can afford to spend that much for a meal.

Us? We don't live to eat (although sometimes it sure seems like it;)), and $150 +wine, etc. is an awful lot of money for us to spend on one meal.

On another cruise line, perhaps...

I'm predicting this price comes way down very soon! The folks who cruise Disney are not the sort of folks who want to shell out an additional $150 per couple just for dinner......

Yes oh mighty Carnac!

Okay! I'm glad it's not just me going "holy... wait, what now?!"

Because, unlike V&A, we're already paying for food (regardless of the quality! :lmao:) so it's ... just... yeah.

I'm more than willing to pay that & I'm willing there are many others too.

We plan on eating there the night of our anniversary. Then again we've done the Chef's Table at V&A few times too & I spent about um $700 on F&W events for our October trip.

I'm not in cruise mode yet but I'll probably be after my F&W trip in 15 days!

Well hey "Money bags" - Pony up for the rest of us then! :worship:
