Morning! Thanks for commiserating with me everyone! I will say this much about the trip--- I didn't even tell you all of it, so consider yourselves lucky.
Lots more happened including people arguing in church at the Christmas Eve service, Belle having a meltdown of epic proportions b/c she heard us talking about getting Drew's bike from Target (Yes, Virginia, there really is NO santa Claus...) and then there was the lady in the bath robe (don't laugh Shelly she really was in a dang robe!!) who walked passed me and my SIL in my InLaws house and disappeared behind a door on the morning Gma passed away.

You guys all know I'm good for a story. If it's gonna happen, it's happening to me.



Shelly---- remember when I was in Cracker Barrel in Tennessee on the way home and we were texting? Right after that Mark said "did you hear from your mom yet?" and I said Yeah. He said "What did she say?" and I said "She sang me Happy Birthday." His face was all and then and then he said "I hate myself" and Drew said What the heck???? And Belle was all grins b/c she was in the car with me when I got the call, and MC smacked her forehead and said Holy Crap!!!!!

So yeah, they all knew it and of course I forgave them. This whole trip was unfreakingbelievable anyway and he always makes such a huge deal about it for me b/c I'm scarred from childhood and people always forgetting my bday b/c it's after Christmas. Or giving me a present and saying "this is your christmas present AND your birthday present". Why yes, it IS all about me.

Day 8 – Friday September 2



We had no definite plans for this day. Other than meeting up with Jodi & family that evening at the Poly!! DH & the kids headed to the lounge for some breakfast. Just as I got up Jodi texted to see if I was up yet. So I called her to see if she was in-fact there and if we were finally WDW neighbors!! We talked about her arrival night late the night before and talked about our plans for the day. She thought maybe her and the kids were going to go to MK for a bit when they got up. They were still in bed because they had arrived so late and went swimming when they got there!!!!

I told her I wasn't exactly sure of our plans yet either, so we decided to just keep each other posted in texts throughout the day and if we could plan an earlier meet up we would!

Well when my family got back to the room they had decided that we needed to make yet another trip to DTD!! Remember how I had wanted to be done with AK, DHS, and DTD before we got to the Poly??? Well some of that worked out, but not all. DS10 had to get one more thing from the Lego Store! Good grief. So we got ready and decided we would just have lunch somewhere at DTD while we were there.

We messed around at the GCH for a bit before heading out to the bus stop.

I bought this flower hair clip! Thought about getting this necklace, but didn't.

I had heard that the trip from the Poly to DTD and back was pretty long and unpleasant. When we got to the bus stop we had just missed a DTD bus and I figured we would have to wait forever. The bus stop was packed and there was nowhere to sit down. But withing about 3-4 minutes another DTD bus pulled up and we were the only ones to get on. I think it had come from the Contemporary because there were some people already on the bus. We made a quick stop at the GF and then we were off to DTD and it didn't take all that much time!

After a quick stop in the Pin Trader store and Once Upon a Toy store, we were on our way to the Lego Store. Once again. For the very last time this trip – I promise!!

DS10 made his final purchases (as you can see, even DS12 is getting irritated by all the time spent in the Lego Store!!) and spent every last cent he had in there and we were on our way!

We then made a quick stop into the World of Disney, where I bought a few things I had my eye on all week:

We were getting hungry and had decided to have lunch at Earl of Sandwich. We had been there once before, several trips ago. We didn't have a very good experience, but we decided it was time to give it a try again. But before we got there we stopped into Team Mickey. It's a really cool store. I don't know if we had even been inside there before.

I took some pics of some Florida Gator items/apparel for Jodi & family!

And then we popped into Tren-D, I think those 2 stores were connected on the inside if I remember correctly. They had some cool stuff as well, but very pricey!

I can totally relate to this! My DH's b-day is Dec. 28 and that happened to him all the time.
Anyway he just turned 40 and we're having a party for him this Sat. I wanted to have his party on NYE but he wasn't sharing his b-day with any other holiday!! I'm sure you understand that, me not so much. I thought NYE would be fun lol.
Well welcome to the 40 party!!! I turned 40 in Sept. and celebrated in WDW. It was fantastic
My DH got me the most beautiful cake at Narcoossees. I felt I couldn't top that.
Sorry about you loss and your unpleasant vacation.

Sadly, it was the day we left. Haven't been back since.

Yes, DS10 finally spent all his money and we did not have to return to the Lego Store again. Although right now he has all his birthday and Christmas $$ in an envelope and he's wanting to know when we can go back - to the Lego Store!!

I highly recommend it!!!! It was the best!

A few trips back I bought the Four Parks One World CD set, but honestly I listen to the Wishes CD more! Once in awhile I get out the 4 parks CD's and I randomly play a song and we play "Name that Disney tune"! The kids always beat DH!!

I wish I had seen it when we were there. They have some really cute things! I love the shorts and Tshirts - of course, they would have been better in another color.

You are so right, our names should be somewhere in DTD for as much as we go there each trip!! The Mickey head thing is an antenna topper!

I really don't know how long Team Mickey has been there. At least a few years because I remember walking by it several times before.
