A little update before we head out to soccer --



After our Pollo Campero dinner we were all ready to shop!!

First stop – Lego Store!! DS10 was so excited to see the newly refurbished (and much larger) Lego store!

After I don't know how much time, he finally made his purchases. Two POTC Lego sets!

Now he was ready to call it a night and head back to CBR!! But the rest of us wanted to stay and do some more shopping! Next up was the World of Disney Store.

DH got a shirt and I got some earrings to go with my new necklace!

Next we moved onto the Ghirardelli store.

Then it was onto Once Upon a Toy.

DS12 bought some books in there and then we went over to the pin trader store and the kids made a few trades.

Then we went into the Marketplace Fun Finds store. We had been looking for dog toys for our puppy ever since we got to Disney, but weren't finding them anywhere. I had heard for the past several years that they were going to do away with them, and apparently they finally did. Stupid if you ask me! So anyway – we got him a Mickey baby rattle in there! And we got a Mickey head ice cube tray and some cookie cutters.

I love that picture of the CM talking to your son in the Lego Store. He seemed so interested in what he had to say, leaning over the counter to talk. It's so sweet.

What kind of chocolate were they handing out in the Ghiradelli store?

I seriously don't know why they would do away with pet toys. Seems like there would have been an okay market for them? Baby rattles work anyway...... Did he love it?

Your earrings are just like the one I found at the GF on the ground-- I think I told you about it? Love them.....

Love the earrings. Our last time in DTD I spotted Ghirardelli's and wanted to head there but as it turned out we never did make it there. My Mil would love one of those bags of squares so I am pretty sure we will get there this time. DD(12) shirt is nice with the 1971 on it. I did have to laugh a bit at your youngest DS being ready to head back to CBR once he purchased his POTC Legos
I hate that they have done away with the doggie items and agree it's a dumb move on their part, so many people bring back gifts for their pets.

First off, I was gone all day yesterday so here is a belated CONGRATULATIONS!!! to your DS10 and Jack!! Best dressed! Which further emphasizes how crazy it is that Disney no longer carries pet items. It's a booming industry! Better make sure Jack can't chew that baby rattle up and swallow whatever it is filled with. I doubt if the manufacturer thought a baby could chew it up.

I love your new earrings! I bet they look great with your necklace. And I also love your DH's new shirt. I had to add that since we are always oohing and aahing over all your cute things and he gets nothing for his new purchase.

Love all the pics of the boys at DTD. I see that you have the 2011 edition of them in front of Mr. Potato Head! Have they gotten much taller since last November?

Wow, I love that the Lego store expanded! My son also loves it! When I was there last time I found a Lego mug with his name on it (Dimitri). His name is not common and I am kicking myself for not purchasing it. They have so many neat things in there for Lego-lovin' boys!

World of Disney is huge, isn't it? I could lots of damage in that store. Too bad about discontinuing the puppy toys. We brought our puppy a bowl home last time. I love all you ended up buying!

Love those earrings!! I bought a pair and my friend actually made them into 2 necklaces. One for my mom and one for me. We found it was cheaper to just buy the earrings than to buy 2 necklaces. Loving everything so far!

We love to have "dessert" in the Ghiardelli store! When we're there in Nov, because they start with the xmas festivities, they usually do the white chocolate squares with pieces of peppermint in it, so good!! Although I also love the caramel! And the mint filled! I could go on .... can you tell I love chocolate?
Can't wait to see the newly improved Lego store. I love the pics you posted of all the new dispalys. Are the old ones still there? Like the dragon and the dogs? I hope so.

Oh that CM was way into Lego's. Him and DS had lots to talk about!

The Ghirardelli sample was chocolate & caramel. It was good!

Jack loves his baby rattle. What is left of it that is. He is a little destructive!

That was the first time we had ever been in Ghirardelli's. It was packed! We wanted to get ice cream but the line was HUGE.

Oh yes, DS10 was done and ready to get back to the resort and play with those Legos!

The new Lego store is awesome! Lots more room to move around. DS10 couldn't get enough of the place, as you will see as the TR progresses.

Yep - the old Lego displays are still there too, just moved to different spots.

We're kinda bummed about the dog toys too. We always get our dog something every yr. and haven't been able to the last couple. We now get him a Mickey dog tag. You can get them at machines around the park. I know there's one in the Land building near Garden Grill and in the Star Tours gift shop. Just an idea for your next trip.
The Ghiardelli shop is my DH's favorite place at DTD. The sundaes are to die for. Maybe the line won't be so long next time.
Congrats to your DS and puppy for winning they are cute.
