A Dole Whip in my hand & my toes in the sand: CBR/Poly Split Stay – This Is The Life!

Sheree...I agree...Snow White with no face is super-creepy!!
Love all the new Legos!!! We might have to try the chicken place on our DTD Day for lunch@

She does look creepy now that Sheree mentions it!! :scared1::rotfl:

The new Lego store is awesome!

hi Jo

Shelly - no calendars on the Disney Store site yet at least not as of yesterday. :sad2: I hope I did not miss them and they sold out like last year

CBR looks pretty even in the rain. Funny thing about August, the thing I do remmeber most is the rain not the heat

Can you order more than one piece of chicken at Pollo Campero? My DH would not want the chips or the rice, maybe the fries but he is more the 4-3 of chicken at a meal. How could they mess up a chocolate donut? I think I would have had my eye on the cheesecake if I had been there. We are doing Raglan Road as of now but I am thinking maybe just grab a couple pieces of chicken so DH can try it.

Well that stinks about the calendars. You can usually get them on ebay, but they cost way more than you would pay at WDW.

I think you can customize a chicken meal just about any way you want at PC.

I'm lurking as usual, but wanted to tell you how much I love your trip reports! Keep it coming!

Thank you!! :goodvibes I'm so glad you are enjoying. Feel free to post anytime! :)

RICE!!!! Your DH got RICE!!!:lmao::lmao::lmao:

The food looks really good there! I might have to try it out next time- if we ever make it to DTD.:headache: I can't believe your donuts were nasty. I wonder if they used mexican chocolate? I have bought my kids Mexican Hot chocolate before and it's cinnamon-y and weird and they really don't like it. It just sort of throws you when you're expecting plain chocolate and you taste something funky. Glad you had a good meal there-- yours is the first review I've read of it.

I could tell how deep the water was in the couryard at CBR--- good night. Must have rained a whole bunch in a short amount of time. sigh. The perils of going in late August.

Your hair looked so good all curled-- did it stay or fall a lot with the humidity? You looked so nice--- love love love that dress on you!!! ::yes:: (It looked awful on me when I tried it on---- like a mini skirt but really wide. "Helga the Hun"....:rolleyes1 :rotfl2: Hard to explain.) It was perfect on you!!:thumbsup2

Can't wait to see what you bought.................;)

Now get on here and give us an update.

PS---- HI Sheila!!!

Yes, he got rice. Notice I didn't get rice though!!:rotfl:

Yeah, the chocolate could have had cinnamon or something in it. It wasn't good and neither was the donut part. First time I've ever met a chocolate I don't like!!

My hair stayed curled for a little bit but then went a little flat from the humidity.

Helgo the Hun :rotfl2:

I can totally see the water covering the courtyard in your picture. Crazy!

Speaking of update, are you going to do a trip report Jo?

The rain was crazy that day!!

Yeah Jo, where's the TR??? :rolleyes1

Shelly - I am really glad you like the Pollo Campero chicken - I think it is better than KFC. The PC's around here don't sell the donuts. I wonder if it is just that location in DTD or in the area. Anyways, yum! Now I want that for lunch!
Sea :cool1:

I think it is just a bakery in that location that the others probably don't have. Oh well, at least everything else was good! :thumbsup2

I think we are gonna try the Pollo Campero for sure on our DTD Disney day...showed the pics to the kids and they want to try it. We are tired of the awful line at Earl of Sandwich..and we always have to wait for a table...it's a loooong time spent on lunch there...but the food is good, so we keep going back. I am hoping Mike will be ready for a change!:)

PC is not Mexican, it is Guatemalan. :)

If you like Mexican food you will definitely like PC. The salsas are very good!

Sea:cool1:

CBR is so pretty... flooded or dry! Those courtyards are so so pretty.

We love Mexican food so I bet we would like PC. I love the idea of a salsa bar. I like almost all those Mexican toppings and dips, so I would be in heaven! I know I'll never get DH to eat there though. He LOVES WPE and I know he won't budge. Maybe someday. I am confused about the doughnuts though. :confused3 Whats up with that? You don't put spices in a chocolate doughnut! :upsidedow

Hi Shelly, I cannot believe how big your boys are getting!

Pollo Campero looks tasty but gross donuts are just wrong!

Can't wait to read more, esp. your Poly stay. Glad Irene missed Florida for your trip!

I knew she had referred to it as Latin food so I figured it wasn't Mexican. However, if it includes all the things I saw on that bar... salsa, guacamole, pico de gallo, nacho cheese, etc.... then that all qualifies as Mexican in my mind. :lmao: Man, it's only 8:30 am and I'm having a serious craving for some nachos!

I do get it though that all Latin foods are not the same. I live in NC and if you said that BBQ is the same thing here as in Texas, you would be dragged through the streets by your toes! :rotfl:

The line at Earl of Sandwich is always huge. :scared1: The food at Pollo Campero is much better!

Hi Amy! Long time no see! Welcome to the TR!

Yep, the boys are growing up so fast.

Lots of Poly pics and info coming up. It is as awesome as everyone says it is. I can't wait to stay there again one day. :cloud9:

We don't care how long the line is at Earl of Sandwich, it is our favorite!
We love DTD too. We'll be back at SSR this year and we always ask to be in the section that is just around the corner from DTD. So nice to be just a short stroll away.

That would be so cool to stay at SSR that close to DTD. :) How long is the walk?

This morning DS10 entered our puppy Jack in the Pet Show and Parade at our park and they won!!:cool1:

So cute! That's awesome that he won! I bet he was excited. We just got a puppy, we've had him for 2 weeks. He's a mini goldendoodle. He is all black and fluffy, cutest thing. He was 12 weeks when we brought him home, so he's had a pretty easy time being trained. He was pretty much potty and crate trained when we got him. I'll try to post pics later.
Where we stay at SSR it's only a 5 minute walk. If you are at the other end of the resort you have to take a boat. We always ask for Congress Park because it is the closest to DTD.

Thanks! DS was very excited! :goodvibes That is awesome that your puppy was pretty much house/crate trained when you got him. Jack was only 8 weeks when we got him and the house training was awful. :scared1: But he seemed to get it all at once right before we left for vacation. Thankfully, because he was staying at my dad's house!

Staying 5 minutes from DTD would be so cool!

Great pics of DS and Jack and a big Congrates to both of them for winning they both look so happy !

So adorable!! Congrats to your boys for winning! I love the pic of Jack with the leash in his mouth and his hat. Your DS looks so proud and cute!! Tell him we all said Congratulations!!!

So cute! Congrats to your son and your puppy!

Thanks Mel! :)

Aw, congrats to your son and Jack! Both are cute as ever. :)

Thank you Kelli! :goodvibes

Thanks Jodi! :flower1: We are trying to break him of that habit of biting the leash. He stopped doing it when he walks, but as soon as you run him he starts biting it again! :upsidedow
What did he win for? Being the super-cutest? That's awesome!!!

Was there a prize?

Yep - for being the super-cutest!! ::yes::  Okay, actually it was for best dressed!

DS got a little certificate, a blue ribbon, a coupon for a free frosty at Wendy's, a free game of bowling, and a $5 gift card for our local pet store. He was pretty excited! :yay:
