I'm new to your thread and am enjoying it so far! I stayed in building 45 at CBR back in 2004, and in the same Jamaica area (but not 45) in 1998. I'm sorry Via Napoli was disappointing. I haven't tried it yet, but hope to some day.

Just a quick update tonight since I probably won't get one up tomorrow because I have to work!



After our Via Napoli dinner we continued our way around World Showcase. Making stops at Germany and Japan. We all wanted to hit the Caramel store in Germany, especially DH who wanted to get some chocolate & caramel covered popcorn that he had gotten last year. And I was looking for a MM necklace in the Kunstarbeit Kristall store. And the kids were looking for Pokemon stuff in Japan!

Germany:

There's that $37,500 castle that we talked about last year in my TR! You all have one of these sitting in your family room, don't you?

And lots of other pretties in there!

And finally my necklace!

Over to Japan, where there was some construction going on.

The kids made a few purchases.

And with that we were headed back to Future World.

To answer your question from earlier...yes, DD10 LOVED The Lion King. She says it is now her favorite movie!
And, I loved your update! I love World Showcase. I think that it is my favorite part of WDW! I love exploring the countries.

Great update Shelly! That's a bummer about VN, but I'm glad you got your necklace finally! I am looking for something similar, but hollow in the middle. If that makes sense Kind of like it's dangling from one of his ears. I have seen it before, but I don't remember where

Oh - and I literally called Bob in here from downstairs to look at the picture of the Werther's popcorn. He loves Werther's original and always buys them.

And then I call him old and ask him if he would like some Benefiber and Murder She Wrote to go along with them



So, I finally got my review up about the Magic/Eastern Caribbean. You know I am terrible at finishing TR's, so I figured that I would just put together a slideshow and do a quick review. Here it is if you're interested

Glad you enjoyed the update. I love World Showcase too. It's nice to be able to explore it and appreciate it more now that the kids are a little older. We used to just blow through it when they were little.

True!! Most things in there are pretty costly.

I sat DH down yesterday to show him your previous update with Via Napoli, he thought your DH entree looked good plus he loves tiramesu and now says I can get pizza the is going to order pasta. All along he has wanted to go there for the pizza Men sure can be strange but I know what he is thinking, that he will get half my pizza since I usually give him half of whatever I have.
Oh and your pics of CBR have won DH over he actually said he would consider staying there someday.

I think you should try it anyway. It was probably just an off night and they weren't very hungry.
I've been to rest. before where it wasn't that great and the next time I loved it. You just never know you'll probably have a different experience.

Yikes, I have always believed we eat with our eyes first and that slop on your dh's plate makes me cross Via Napoli off my list since I probably would have ordered that! We had a disappointing experience at Tutto Italia this year, maybe Tony's will be our Italian place next time.

Your World Showcase pictures a great! I love the carmel shop, the smell is so wonderful and if they bottled it I would buy it! If they merged the wine and carmel shop together I would be in heaven!

Okay yes, indeed the Gran Fiesta can be busy. We experienced the same thing one night we were there this trip. In fact, there was a lady (that I'm sure wasn't all there mentally) behind Mark and as we were waiting in line- it started moving- barely-- and she took her finger and kept poking it in his back hard saying, "Go. Move. Move up. Go. Move. Move up. Go. Move. Move up." ------ before he could even take a step. It continued on for about two minutes. I felt bad for her, but honestly it was really kind of strange.

Yeah, I might have offered to let her go in front of us!

There's not much better than shopping and WDW, so put them together and what do you get == One happy mama!!

The caramel shop is so good! And as a bonus you can walk right next door (without having to go outside) into the crystal shop and buy a pretty necklace!!

That's true. I kind of feel the same way -- if something looks gross it probably is gross!
