you are already on vacation I think... This is the stage where you start to get giddy with excitement and figure that you can't cram 19 days of stuff into 5 days of time....good luck dear pal...:wizard:

I'm steadily planning away...

knocking stuff off that I know we'll never get to...but that's ok~cause all of you will be there :grouphug:

I am still waiting for Rose's reply on the SJ to DL transport question...she works rediculous hours, actually emails me before work at 4:30 in the am!

My brainfarts are attributed to having too much on my plate at one time~

that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it

I heard from Rose today, she called me from Animal Kingdom!

(see, there are people in the world worse than me.)

She gave me the go for airfare from SJ to (which airport again?) -Nevermind-I still have your email, I forwarded a copy to Rose

and we may be changing our hotel arrangements a little~seems she has some days available at her time share, which she said is free. (???) Can you blame me if I said ok? We still may end up spending the first night at the Best Western but then Rose says she got a condo for us til the 31st.

I'll know more when she is done her current Disney trip~

Rose called me from Animal Kingdom today, I had no idea she was back down there, she just had a trip with her daughter there a month ago :confused3

To go with the itinerary...

We'll need tickets!

The Southern California City Pass;
It covers San Diego Zoo - 1 day
1 day at Sea World in San Diego
1 Day at Universal Studios Hollywood
and 3 Days at Disneyland, which includes park hopping.
$235 was the price when last I looked, for all that.

I found a Hollywood Citypass for another $50;
That'll include a walking tour, a driving tour, a museum tour
and something else, I forget at the moment.
Rose is mulling that one over.

We also found tvtickets.com might get us a into a taping of 2 and a haf men. We also still have to find out if we can get Price is right tix.

Cool!!!

This is my long list...

Restaurants:
Club 33-Disneyland,
Blue Bayou-Disneyland,
Ariel's Grotto-Disney's California Adventure,
Hook's Pointe-Disneyland Hotel,
Story Teller's Cafe-Disney's Grande Californian,
Royal Street Verandah-Disneyland.

I was just wondering if maybe we could all meet at Hooke's Point the first night?

Blue Bayou could be our second, if you all want to have dinner together?

and we anxiously await our Club 33 access from our dear friend Nan's cousin's cousin ;)

The others, like Ariel's Grotto, could be a lunch option-I'm thinking beer & a burger??? and The Royal St Verandah is another burger option...

The Story Teller's Cafe was Britt's pick for favorite hotel and character breakfast, does anyone want in on any of what I've listed???

I understand ressies for DL and DCA are done at 60 days out~

That would be Sunday May 27th?

We do.

We had a great dinner at the new remodeled Granvilles Steak house. It was great! Not cheap, but the best dinner I've had there next to Napa Rose.

Whatever you guys decide is good with us, I figure you choose since we can go again (in July for Molly's bday and then again next fall and again,,,okay that's enough)

Nan,

Which would you recommend if we had to choose just one, Granville's or Napa Rose...I am thinking of my friend Rose's want for a nice wine in California-where would you take her?

I got a newsletter from Passporter today, it has a section written by a guy who recently went to DL and is also a WDW vet. His article has a great questions and answer section.

Aisling-you should read~It helped me alot!

red or white? The wine list at Granvilles was large, but I couldn't find a bottle I couldn't live without...I did a glass that was heavely. (red merlot I think, I'll ask Paul)

Napa Rose has every wine there is (okay not every wine) but almost...

They have a chef's menu sampler that is paired with wines (4 I think) which is a great way to try wines that you know are known as GOOD. That being said, the menu when we went didn't draw me in. (hence we tried granvilles) The choices are limited and you must be willing to try or have high cusine taste. The menu changes all the time there so it's a hit and miss. Granville is a steak house. I had lobster it was great.

Granville sounds do-able...

Rose likes her wine, I couldn't tell you red or white tho :confused3

I like my steak...I am quite easy to please~
