A DisneyWorld Lifer is going to Disneyland-the saga ends...

depending on the time of day I'll come up to Oakland and ferry you guys over to SF. I'm not a late night driver (especially to okaland and sf)

I'd of course much rather drive you from SJ to SF. Oakland is 1 hour from me, and another hour to SF over a nasty bridge. (I don't like bridges)

SJ is a 1 hour drive to SF.

Where are you getting the car???? Have you not decided on that yet?

Depending on the people and luggage and weather I'll get you in the vroom vroom....

although Wilson would love to make a drive to get you in his kart, where would you sit???

Thanx Nan...but I highly doubt we'd all (and our luggage) fit in the vroom vroom or the go cart ;)

The main flight I'm eyeing up lands in SJ at noon, if we get that could you come get us in a real size car?

We were hoping to wait til day 3 when we go to stay in SJ to get a car...

noon in SJ should be fine...Depending on if Paul can get the kids from school at 3pm I can run you up at Noon to SF or we can hang, get the kids at 3pm then I can run you up....either way SJ to SF at noon hour is ok.

I really think you might want to be in the vroom vroom sometime somewhere when/if we tool over to Half Moon Bay, nothing like driving the coast in a red convertible...the trick is having another car for everyone else.

I am absolutely fine with hanging first...

I'd like to see the family before we go over to San Fran~

How is the trip going to be later in the day, after the kids get out of school?

I really like your little vroom vroom. How long does it take to get to HMB from your place?

If Rose still insists on going later (she is supposed to work that Thursday) Brittany and me could fly into San Jose and "tool around" with you and meet Rose and Stefanie at the hotel later. I gotta check in with her tonight, we'll see what she says by tomorrow.

so, tell me again... you're arriving on Wednesday May 23rd Or Thursday the 24th around noon (I have it in my calendar now as Wednesday) at SJ, we'll gather you (2) up and head to my place for a snack/lunch get the kids at school then zip you up to SF. Which is an hour anytime of day....Once in SF we could take a bit of time getting to your hotel, but that would be the case anytime of day or night, so no issue. Hopefully Paul will have the afternoon free, since he really doesn't mind the drive any time of day or night. And we have the mini van which seats 8 and room for luggage so no issue there.

The vroom vroom makes it to HMB in 45 minutes from SJ. If you draw a map...it goes SF drive down the coast 30 minutes run into HMB turn east drive 45 minutes hit SJ.. For the movie....perhaps we should find a spot in SF to view, since you'll be staying your last night there when it premiers. Mucho crazier city than SJ, we can decide on that closer to the date. Then next day perhaps we can meet you in HMB (weather permitting in vroom vroom) travel the coast to Monterey back up to SJ/Pruneyard Sat night, then up and out early Sunday to Dland. What time do you wish to arrive in Dland? I think you have slated park days for M, T, W correct? At this point we are staying thru Tuesday afternoon. might be longer, if I feel the desire to bag more school for them which means the closer I get the more school I'll blow off....

so, what do you want for lunch after I pick you up? :lmao: :rolleyes1 :lmao: I'm so funny.....I can give you the mini SJ tour in that hour or so, I tell ya the town is not really that facinating....unless you want to see Intel, eBay, Apple, HP, Yahoo, Google, okay what else are we famous for. Oh yeah, Winchester Mystery House....(not) but we do have nice weather and high real estate prices :rotfl: I can show you the 2bed 1 bath $1 million houses. Ya ya.... the saga has begun popcorn::

Ok...

arrival, May 24th

lunch with you, pick up the kids, road trip to SF that day

I'd be ok waiting til saturday night to see POTC III in SJ with you (unless you REALLY want to see it the first night it's out.)

should we meet in HMB on saturday, tour that, hit the beach, and then see the movie that night in SJ?

then of course we drive to DL, what time I guess depends on traffic right?

this is where I need your help...

Brittany and I will have 3 days for DL and Stef and Rose (I believe) are only getting 2. We will also have one day for Universal Hollywood. I was hoping to visit the parks the first night there, and then the next 3 days would be DL, DL & USH. Would anybody else want to hit DL thefirst night or is the drive too much to even bother visiting a park that night?

and for lunch, Brittany wants to know if you guys have a Sonic out there?

... I think I covered all your questions ...

no sonic close by, I think there is one in Modesto (which is a small farming community about an hour away) I was totally kidding about lunch, I'll have something fun in mind for you that day.

hmmmmm, not going to opening day, a crime, just a crime....I won't even tell the kids that you suggested it....(they would lose all pirate respect) really they absolutely have to go on opening day, ok just for kicks let me see what Wilson would say...

Nan : "Could we see POC III the day after it opens?"
Wilson: "no"
Nan "why not?"
Wilson "cuz ya gotta see it the first day, so there's no crowd"

oh I have an idea....we can see it both days....that'll work out just fine.....

Dland is totally do able that Sunday night, they are usually open until Midnight on holiday/summer weekends, so when ever we arrive we'll be ready to party. Okay Paul drives the whole way me and the kids are always up for going when we arrive no matter what time it is....especially since you have a limited # of days there.

gotta get the kids to bed, later.

Ok...ok...ok...

You find a place in to see the movie and I'll go thfirst night ::yes::

I know lunch was a joke, I shared your joke with Brit and she said SONIC! and then wasn't even sure if you had any there cause we only get to go to Sonic when we are in NC.

I think you have slated park days for M, T, W correct? At this point we are staying thru Tuesday afternoon.

Ok, adding my official itinerary:

We arrive early Saturday, and leaving Wednesday afternoon. We have 3-day park hoppers.

Saturday: arrive at Long Beach (nixed LAX) 10 AM, drive to Anaheim.
Sunday:
Monday: Park
Tuesday: Park
Wednesday: check out of DLHotel at 11 AM, drive back to Long Beach, see some sights, and get on a 3:30 flight back home.

I just have to decide when to use our 3rd day, on Saturday or Sunday. I wanted to have one free day to drive to LA for a look-see.

Any thoughts?

Nan, I LOVE the vroom vroom! And tell Wilson he looks like a cool dude in his kart!

the parks will be crowded all weekend, so it's a crap shoot on what day is best. you can't check in until 3pm at Dland, any interest in snooping that day before you come to the hotel, or do you think you'll be too tired from the flight?

I'm leaning towards telling you go to the park on Sunday, of course then we can meet when we roll into town and continue to play.

John/Dede when are you arriving?

...

I was thinking the same thing...

Do LA on Saturday!

Then we can all go to DL, or at least meet there, on Sunday...:cheer2:

No pressure :rolleyes1

Rat vs Badger

Grim, wanna fight?????????:rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2:

 Are you serious?!

About Compton, well, yeah sort of. I saw on the map it's in the area, and it's like a real hood. But Chad reminds me we'll be in a rented SUV, and I guess it won't be too safe? We used to have Harlem as a notorious hood, but now it's the "in" place to be, taken over by upper class African Americans.

seen one getto neighborhood seen them all... You really don't want to see Compton.

You people are crazy with Badger and Rats. I'm not sure I want to vacation with the likes of you again.

:lmao:

ok, it's time to show them the card I sent you for Valentines day....go ahead....
