A Disney Ship coming to Australia ?

This would be great! Now I won't have to fly overseas to sail on DCL. No airfares, no exchange rates, for the first time DCL may look really affordable!!
You know they'll charge double or triple price just because it's Australia, though. It's basically tradition to overcharge Australians for everything, anyway.

Yup but there won't be international airfares and accommodation before and after the cruise. There won't be the need to take an extended trip to make the long haul flight worth it. Excellent.

Josh did mention cruising the world when all three new ships are done. I'm just hoping that they'll finally take a ship to see the Asian Disney parks!
Either way, I would expect them to send the Magic or Wonder... and I would book a sailing :P

All this based on an 'unnamed ship'?
And wishful thinking yes! :D but I would add that the Europe ports also had an "Unnamed" ship rumour started to say it was going to be the Dream based on the tonnage and all the speculation was indeed correct! Disney often insists ports use "Unnamed" prior to the release

Has anything come about to disprove this theory yet? If a Disney cruise comes to Australia I definitely want to be on it, but it will alter all of 2023 holiday planning if that is the case

I'm in Singapore and would actually seriously consider flying to Australia for a Disney cruise! Always wanted to do one but never managed to justify doing one out of Florida when it takes so long to fly there and WDW is there...

It is powered by liquefied natural gas and Port Canaveral is the only North American port to offer LNG fueling for cruise ships. "
This is a bit misleading. The LNG fueling capability at Port Canaveral is done by barge (as is fueling any other ship there) and that wouldn't be limited to just cruise ships. A barge would be able to service any LNG ship at any of the FL, GA, SC ports along the eastern seaboard.

She's the West Coast ship and it would be during the US winter when she doesn't do Alaska.

And isn't there something that's often thrown around that the Dream class doesn't have the required clearance to get under the bridges along the Panama Canal? That creates logistical problems to even get the Fantasy to the west coast/Australia. Can't see them going around the bottom of South America.

Yep, just looked it up. The Bridge of the Americas only has 201' of clearance and the Dream & Fantasy are 217'. They can come in on the East coast and turn around in the lake like other ships do, but they can't go out on the West Coast. The Centennial bridge has 262' of clearance.

But a journey around the tip of South America would be awesome! Way better than Australia!
