A Disney Dollar question

Do the sit down restaurants at Disney take Disney Dollars for payment? How about the Disney hotel restaurants? I was thinking that collecting Disney Dollars would be a good way to save for meals.

That's good to know about Disney Dollars!

Here's a caution about the Disney GIFT CARD... I read this on their website:

"At this time, Gift cards are not accepted at the resort front desk or valid for use for payment of Walt Disney World Resort Hotel room nights."

That seems silly to me!

We paid for all of our meals with Disney Dollars!!! It was a great way to save towards our food budget!

The gift card acceptance is being rolled out slowly.

By the end of the year, they expect to have ALL disney services accepting it, (it's actually currently in "soft launch" with no adverts about it or promoting of it) but always check on that status before you leave for your trip.

Disney dollars are trading your USA greenback or using your CC to get Fancy Disney money that has disney characters on it to be used in DL, WDW, or disney stores. You can always trade your fancy disney money back into greenbacks at Guest Relations too.

You can get the DD at Guest relations in parks or local disney stores if they have in stock.

DD come in 1.00, 5.00, 10.00 size an there is currently a special 50.00 size aval only in parks.
