We are going to celebration this year. We decided pretty late in the game so didn't get the tickets we wanted but did get a weekend pass. I'm in the process of getting my Jyn Erso cosplay in order and going to perfect my Rey cosplay hopefully by then. I wore it at MNSSHP this year and there are some tweaks to make in order to make it easier to wear (shorten the wrap and take in the pants) but it is good enough to go. I still need to get an arm wrap for it as the one I made just didn't work.

Has anyone been able to create a My Show profile?

I did just try and was able to create a My show profile. It didn't activate because I haven't gotten the activation email. I am going to try closer to the convention.

That's the same that happened to me. No email. Thanks.

A couple of updates from Celebration that have been posted over the Holidays on the Celebration website. The first one is that Doug Chiang (Lucasfilm VP and Creative Director for Rogue One) is the first non-stage Guest to be announced. More guests will get announced over the next few months. The other significant update is that we have a Preview for who is exhibiting there. http://www.starwarscelebration.com/Show-Floor/Exhibitor-List-Preview/. More updates to come probably fairly quickly from here on out.

I remember the line in 2012 for the Hallmark exclusive merchandise. It snaked around and people waited hours.

The Lego exhibit was cool. They worked on the Legos around the clock. It was neat to see the progress as the event went on. There was a building area for guests too.

Anovos is a nice place to order costumes. If you look hard, you can occasionally find a good deal. Otherwise, you're looking at thousands for a costume. My husband ordered a trooper costume. It was one where he has to cut the parts and put it together. It's kind of like a big jigsaw puzzle. And just like his other trooper costume that was approved last year, this new one sits in the box waiting to be cut and assembled.

We bought the event tickets. We got the AP discount ($10 off if I remember correctly). We like our late nights in the parks so this will be nice and of course all things Star Wars. Will definitely shoot for early entry just in case it is a head ache like some other ticketed events at DHS have been.

Best part of the event will be getting to wear my Jyn Erso cosplay at DHS! Now got to get it together. Thankfully my Rey cosplay mostly is done and will be a quick fix. I'm still debating dying the fabric but since it is already done it would be hard to start over if I don't like the dye color. A friend said I should just wear it and go roll around in some dirt then wash it haha.

I am still just going back and forth on whether or not to do Galactic Nights. I am in town for like 10 days becuase I am doing the Dark Side Challenge too. So I just can't decide whether or not to spend the money!

This is speculation on my part. I wouldn't be surprised if they add nights if the first one does well. During the next week is an obvious time to do it as well because they can get an actor to stay a few days in town until that weekend. Throw a Free WDW trip to someone like Alan Tudyk or Felicity Jones and they will bite even with the appearance during a Galactic Nights as part of the agreement.

So, for anyone who’s been to the Convention Center before...any idea what the parking situation is like there? My dad is insisting on driving to Orlando, and possibly to a hotel that doesn’t have shuttle service (because he assumed he could just park there). Is this the terrible idea I think it probably is??

There's over 10000 spaces at the Convention Center. It is $15 a day for parking at the convention center. http://occc.net/attendee/Parking.asp#Rates for more information. Personally, I would keep an eye on the block to see if rooms open towards Mid-March when the one night is due. Save yourself the hassle of driving there.

We actually changed hotels plans and are only doing half our week plus stay at WDW Contemporary and half at the convention centers Hyatt Regency because of the parking.

I was told by many, many 501st members from Orlando and those from out of state that have gone to SWC in Orlando that parking it a BEAR!!!! There is parking but get there early and expect a nightmare as chaotic as the parking situation at the most popular malls at Christmas time.

Wanted to let folks know about this unofficial event because it is a tribute Gala for Carrie Fisher called Drowning in Moonlight on Thursday April 13th from 7:30-10:30 PM at the Rosen Center. A bunch of Podcasters are coming together to do this event and the cost is reasonable at $40 for the evening. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/drowni...of-carrie-fisher-tickets-31207306895?aff=eac2 for tickets to the event.

Wohoo. Loving the celebration email. Jeremy Bulloch, Ian McDiarmid, and Felicity Jones for celebration!!

The first Autograph Hall Guests have been announced and a major autograph change was announced. First of all, the major Autograph Change is that Topps is running the Autograph Hall. They are doing normal things such as pre-selling autographs here: https://www.starwarsauthentics.com/...d=21480&query=&sort=title_asc&pgmode1=catpage. Timeframes and all will be coming later. For both Felicity Jones autograph and photo, It will cost a combined $450.

Second announcement is that Jeremy Bulloch (Boba Fett), Ian McDiarmid (Emperor Palpatine in the first six films) and Felicity Jones (Jyn Erso from Rogue One) are signing in the Autograph Hall this year. Pre-Sales are up for all three listed and a few others that haven't been officially announced yet including Mary Elizabeth McGlynn and Steve Blum. (Rebels VA's and great folks who I've met before.) First post will be updated in the morning on this news.

I have a couple of questions about meeting the actors. Now seems like a good time to ask since we got the first wave of them here:

https://www.starwarsauthentics.com/...d=21480&query=&sort=title_asc&pgmode1=catpage

So just to be clear, you can pay for an autograph, a photo, or both, right? And I wanted to ask, is the experience meeting an actor worth it? I've heard that people like Mark Hamill are (understandably) exhausted when you meet them after standing in such a long line and you don't get much out of the interaction. I'm wondering if it's worth all the money that is the case.

I'm also curious if you would recommend buying a autograph or photo ticket in advance, or if you can just get them there. Thanks in advance.

You can pay for both an autograph and photo or either one. I don't typically do Autographs/Photos because my mindset is I don't want to pay for Autographs/Photos with celebrities. I have also worked in Guest Relations at cons, so my viewpoint is skewed. If there is someone you really want to meet, I would go to their Panel instead. They are frequently more interesting then the Autograph/photo you get.
