The ticket buying deadline for badges to be mailed is March 15th. I'm thinking sometime after that would be when they are mailed. I would say you would get them between a week and two before the con. They may start earlier depending on how many they have to mail out.

We have our tickets... now to get the hotel. we plan on staying at Disney the whole time. In the past Disney had a special rate at the port Orleans riverside with transportation to the convention. I'm hoping they do it again, anyone hear anything about it. I keep checking the website for celebration but see nothing. This will be our 3rd star wars celebration. we have gone to the other two in Orlando as well. I can say that it was a lot of fun and much different then new York comic con. people are nice, no one pushes. My husband is working on his TK armor as we speak.

Welcome to the thread. What I'm saying is educated speculation. I would book in the official convention block because it is Spring Break Peak (Easter weekend). Due to this, There is probably going to be no special Star Wars Celebration rates on Disney property. All of the hotels in block that aren't connected to the convention center will have Shuttles. There will probably be the normal 15-25% discounts at the resorts. If you want to stay on site, I would book now and cancel if it comes into the block.

Ya that's what I was thinking...

hmmm so I just realized that I won't be able to attend after all because we're planning a Hong Kong/Japan trip...I'm still going to live vicariously through all of you :) Japan and Hong Kong are going to be a lot of fun but Star Wars is Star Wars.

So I want to get a good seat to the first big panel (I've got no problem camping out). But I wanted to know- is there a specific time they start letting people line up? And if there is wouldn't people start lining up before that anyways? I don't really know how it works. I'm booking my flight soon and want to make sure I won't be in the air while people are already starting to form a line, I imagine people will line up much earlier than they did in Anaheim if they can.

Welcome to the Boards and this thread. Those policies are TBD. What happened with Celebration Europe is that wristbands were handed out at 6 AM local time for the main events panels. There was complaints that it was way too early, so I think that it may be later in the morning (Say 8 AM). That won't be announced until the week before. When they announce them, they will be posted her. Thanks for the question. This would probably be a good FAQ for programming.

A little late to this question for Star Wars fans. What does everyone think of the Rogue one Trailer? I don't think I need to know anything else except when I can buy my tickets for opening weekend. Gives enough of an Idea of the plot to let the casual fan know while the harder core fan has lots of tidbits. Love how they used Vader in it.

It looks soooo good. Can't wait.

I didn't realize until someone wrote on my TR that Celebration is during Easter Weekend.

It is why people I'm watching flights for that time and may spend a week there to save money on flights. I have Spirit airlines in Baltimore, which makes it easier to go then.

Looks amazing! Definitely going opening night. Loved seeing Jyn facing off the TIE Fighter, and that last shot of Darth Vader.

I have a question for those who have done Celebration before. I'm more of a movie fan who doesn't want to be so exhausted that he can't enjoy a day or two at UOR or DHS (haven't seen the new Fireworks that came out this Summer, yet). How many days would you suggest someone doing their first time at Celebration do? Debating between buying a four day pass and getting Thursday/Friday Day passes (difference is $10, so it's not a money thing).

For our first one, we still bought a 4 day. It was good we did. My son was having health issues at the time and didn't make it a full day any of the days.

If you've ever been to a comicon, my dh says the celebration isn't near as intense. He was comparing Tampa Bay CC to SWCVI.

Found something interesting from Anaheim on what you can expect for Prices for Autographs/Photo Ops. I expect that it may be more expensive by $5-10 over the past two years. Here's the link from Official's Pix for folks: http://www.officialpix.com/c7/home.html

For me, I found a good hotel a mile and a half away in the Rosen Inn international and will be buying a full weekend badge this week.

I have friends that stayed there the last 2 celebrations that were in Orlando. The said it was nothing special, but the rooms are clean and the staff very friendly. They walked to and from the convention center. They didn't think the walk was bad. They didn't use a shuttle or bus because their son has autism and doesn't do well on them. Surprisingly, he had very few issues with the crowd in the convention center.

501st Members will be purchasing their SW Celebration 501st Bash tickets go on sale this week.... 4000 tickets to be sold, huge event 501st members only and their guests! A lot of Celebration Celebrities stop by and join the party.... If you know a 501st member be sure to remind them, hey who knows... you could end up being their guest :P

501st bash ticket sales have opened today for 501st members. Saturday night of Celebration from 8 PM-2 AM at the Hyatt Regency Convention Center. They may have tickets available in two weeks for everyone. http://skaught.com/501st/bash/ for information on it. This will probably sell out when they open it to the public. It's going to have a performance by "Weird Al" Yankovic. If tickets become available to the public, they will be $100.

Rebel Force Radio (Star Wars Podcast) will have a bash on Wednesday the 12th from 7 PM-Midnight at the Hilton Orlando (near the convention Center). They are $55 or $45 until early November. http://www.rebelforceradio.com/news/2016/9/16/tickets-on-sale-now-for-rfrs-celebration-kickoff-bash for more information.

I expect more after hour parties to be announced, but they will be handled as posts in the thread since it's unofficial activities. What other parties should people keep an eye on?
