A Disboutiquer's "just another trip report" --THE END! updated 8/28

Another wonderful report! Sorry about the rain but it seems you guys made the best of it!

Happy that the kids were able to keep going even in the rain, nice that Wishes was on too. Your DD2 is so cute in her Cinderella dressprincess: , I can see why everyone made comments. Too bad it had to rain on the kids special hair.

We have that same cheetah princess rain poncho! The picture of Luke hugging Lily is just beyond precious!!! He is racking up BIG points in my book! :thumbsup2

The worst rainfall we ever had down there was at MGM when Lydia was about 4 months old. I needed to nurse her, and went into the baby station with the girls, Brian and Corey went to do some rides. Once they got to the other side of the park, it just dumped buckets and buckets of rain down! By the time they got back to us, they were so drenched! Gotta love those sudden Florida downpours!

Ok for some reason I never read your TR until tonight- So now I am all caught up and I am LOVING it. "Fun Times Fun Times"

Hi. I just read your entire TR and it's wonderful:goodvibes I'm really enjoying it:)

Your kids are so adorable:cutie:

Wonderful picutures too, looks like you guys had such a great time so far. That's neat what they did with the boys hair ~ too bad the rain messed it up later.

I'm looking forward to reading about your day at DHS!

I love Pooh Bear, but that might have been funnier :rotfl: certainly would have made it to You Tube :rotfl2:

Yes, but then this would be the last day of the trip report--well the last day of the trip anyway! Besides, we  pooh:

Great photos!

Thanks! Too bad photobucket insists on keeping the castle sideways.

I love the pictures of your little Cinderella, especially the one where she is hugging your DS, very sweet. Too funny that she had the parade wave going on.

Thanks. I have lots of pics of those two hugging, dancing, etc. They are very close  but that also means they fight

Just read your TR! Loving it! Your DD is so sweet!
Thanks! I'm enjoying your TR as well!

Love all the pictures.. your trip report is great! And I am glad you did not hit Pooh!

Thanks! Me too! see above

Awww, Luke hugging Lily is precious!

Nothing better than wet cool dude hair with wet cotton candy too.

Ugg, I hate monsoons in Orlando. What is a princess to do?

At least none of the kids complained about the rain or their "ruined" hair. I think it helped that it rained hard enough to be interesting :rotfl:

Awww what a pretty shot of the castle that is, the one in the sunny daytime. Really nice! Lovely children, even all soaked. Glad you all had fun despite the monsoon!

Waiting for more!

Allyson

Thanks!

Your family pictures are great! Lily is so adorable and I am sure she was the belle of the ball in her gown all day. Sorry about the missing tiara.

I have to ask, did Lily nap in her stroller or did she make it all day with no nap?

Most days she took a decent nap in her stroller. :woohoo: Most of them had little naps on the bus too

great update and pics.

which day was this?

that is nice the cm asked her if she wanted to drive the boat. too bad she said no.

very nice update.

This was Saturday the 19th. I was arguing with her as she told him no. :headache:

Oh my goodness! Your kids are adorable! Loving the report so far.

Thanks cel!

Yet another great update! I love the picture of Luke and Lily, too! How sweet! :lovestruc

I think it's a requirement to have a monsoon at least once on a Disney vacation.

Did you go to lost and found for Lily's crown? When Tessa was 2, she lost her shoes at MGM (according to her, they ran out into the road and got hit by a car) and they actually mailed them back to us, free of charge!

That Tessa makes me laugh. You'll have to wait and see what happens with the crown. It wasn't the only thing we lost though :sad1:

Another wonderful report! Sorry about the rain but it seems you guys made the best of it!

It wasn't too bad because it was really only that day for the most part.

Happy that the kids were able to keep going even in the rain, nice that Wishes was on too. Your DD2 is so cute in her Cinderella dressprincess: , I can see why everyone made comments. Too bad it had to rain on the kids special hair.
I was happy that Wishes wasn't delayed very long. I was worried they'd cancel it.

The poncho worked out well! Don't forget to take it with you in May! I'm glad you liked the Luke photo. He needs to score points with "Auntie Teresa"! At least you were safe and dry at the baby station! I bet 500 people didn't rush to take shelter in there! :lmao:

Ok for some reason I never read your TR until tonight- So now I am all caught up and I am LOVING it. "Fun Times Fun Times"

Glad you stopped by!

Thanks! Welcome! It is fun to relive it. I wanna go back!

Cute! Sounds like a great day in MK, even with the rain. Sorry about Lily's crown, I can't wait to read the next installment!

Hi! I am new to the board but enjoying it so much! Especially reading about trips like your family's! We too have 4 kids, girl, boy, boy, girl and in a couple of years they will be almost exactly the same ages as yours! Thanks for all the great details about the BBB - we are going to WDW in Sept for dd's 8th bday. I was just going to get her an appt but after reading your posts I think I will make ressies for my 2 boys too! (they will be 3 1/2 and almost 6 by then - I think they will love it)

BTW - I read the bit about the glass slipper trick to my dh. That sounds just like him to not know they weren't hers! Very cute - you will remember that always!!!

Hi, I'm really enjoying your TR.

Thanks!

we were there then too. that was our first day.

I think we crossed paths a lot more often than we realized!

Thanks Steph!

OKAY, I have tried everything I can think of. It's not like I'm new at posting photos :confused3 But photobucket HATES me lately! SO forgive the sideways and too-large photos. I can't figure it out. :headache:  :headache:

Today was a bit chilly, even for us.
I thought I would be “nice mom” today and I got up, showered, dressed, and went over to the food court to pick up breakfast for my sleeping family. I had my arms loaded with, I believe 4 meals and, well, it being breakfast on the DDP, I also had 8 drinks  I turned around and saw that the line was about 30 people long! 30 Brazilian teenagers no less! Yes, our resort had been overrun by the Brazilian teenager tourists. I was a little scared for a minute there, but then realized there was an open line for us “regular folk” :) Now let me take a little detour here and say that when I saw that many teenagers in one place, I wasn’t too thrilled. However, after several days on buses, at parks, in lines and at the pool with these kids, I must say I have NEVER seen such well-behaved teenagers IN MY LIFE! And they were all so frighteningly attractive it was like a model convention or something. Boys and girls mixed together behaving politely. I never even saw any roughhousing. I’m so sad to say that if they had been American teenagers…well, you use your own imagination. I don’t want to get flamed. Okay, so I managed (barely) to carry my food tray back to our room and woke up the gang and got them moving. We made it to the bus stop and on to Disney’s Hollywood Studios! DD10 and DS8 were very excited because their 2 favorite rides at Disneyland are TOT and California Screamin’ (which is similar to RNR as far as the fast launch goes anyway). We get through the gates and head towards those two rides. DS8 was so excited to see the giant guitar outside of RNR. I don’t know why I didn’t think of it before, but it looks just like his guitar at home! That made it extra cool.

The RNR FP was for the time when we planned to see LMA Stunt Show (the entire abbreviation was too funny, needed to be followed with the word “off”), so DH went and grabbed TOT FPs and then we waited standby for RNR with a rider swap pass. I took DD2 and DS5 on a walk. We bought a big pretzel then stopped at the fountain to eat it. A photopass photographer was there with her HSM props. DD2 wanted to play cheerleader. Her mouth was full of pretzel.

image161-1.jpg

We then walked over by Playhouse Disney which was closed for refurbishment. We stood in line for JoJo but were told Handy Manny would be out shortly. This was good, because the littles LOVE Handy Manny. They were so excited to get out their autograph books!

image169.jpg

It was time to pose for pics so DD2 sat down on the ground :confused3 so Manny and DS5 joined her.
IMG_0363.jpg

Oh, and I had to throw this photo in because this is the look Luke gets on his face when he sees photos of Tessa :lovestruc in the Disboutiquers thread: (and yes he has a scratch on his neck from his dear brother)

image172-1.jpg

It was time to head back to RNR for my turn!—But wait, it was time to use our TOT fastpasses! So that is what we did. I went with DS8. DS5 decided he did not want to go. He is funny about rides. He is not afraid of fast or wild, but sometimes he is afraid of dark rides. He has been on TOT many times before at Disneyland. :confused3 I am in the FP line with DS8 and another boy around his age is just terrified to go on. He has never been on it before but is determined to give it a try. He was asking my DS all kinds of questions and DS tried to reassure him it was not bad at all. TOT in DL is different from TOT in DW. I like DW better because you have that whole horizontal ride before the vertical ride. DL is just up and down. Then I waited with the littles while DH took DD10 and DS8 (DS8 got to use DS5's FP).

I have no idea who this woman was, but I think she didn't approve of DD2 picking a flower :sad2:

DS5 played with sticks

We then went to go see the “Lights, Motors, Action! Stunt Show.” They only had 2 showings and the other one was during our ADRs. On the way we stopped off at Muppet 3-D while DH took a detour to pick up Star Tours FPs. We were about 30 minutes early for the show but by the time we parked the stroller and walked 10 miles around the stadium to our seats, the bleachers were getting pretty full! DD2 did not like the show too much. She was sick of sitting there.

BTW this is her lovely custom Cinderella outfit I made (CASEd from the Disboutiquers!) Except for the Cinderella jacket which came from Costco but happened to match perfectly :thumbsup2

IMG_0371.jpg

DD10 threw some sort of tantrum, I don’t remember details but I know it somehow involved an empty water bottle and me not letting her play games on my cell phone. The boys (and eventually DD10) really liked this show.

IMG_0374.jpg

I bumped something on my (new) camera and accidently found this cool setting:

IMG_0376.jpg

Afterward, the exiting crowd was a nightmare! We had to exit on one side, then move across the entire human stampede, then head upstream a bit to retrieve our stroller. It was ugly. It didn’t thin out either. We just got swept up in the flow and found ourselves near Star Tours in time to use our FPs.

Day3: Part 2 coming up next!

I think we crossed paths a lot more often than we realized!

we might have. :)

We had no problems with the teenies this time. July was another story. They were horrible. maybe the good ones come here in january.

I love TOT.

Funny your doing LMA I am about to do that too.

I think this is Sunday so we were at AK.

DH took DD10 and DS8 on Star tours. DS5 did not want to go. Once again, not sure why. :confused3 Again, he loves this ride at Disneyland. The Stars ‘n’ Cars parade was about to begin, so, in a moment of temporary insanity, I lift DD2 onto my shoulders and hold DS5 up in my arms so they can see. I almost made it through the whole parade, but I thought I may never have use of my arms again if I did, so I put DS5 down for the last couple of cars. DH and the big kids came off the ride just as the parade ended. I honestly don’t remember what we did next, but we had early dinner reservations at Mama Melrose. We did the Fantasmic dinner package, so our ADRs were for 3:40  . Like a good DISer, I took some photos while we waited.

IMG_0379.jpg

One of the CMs showed DD2 a hidden Mickey on the statue. She loved this statue!

IMG_0380.jpg

Finally we were seated. DS8 chose to be very difficult at this meal. He, I may have mentioned, is borderline OCD when it comes to eating (just ask UtahMama or Spongie!) and restaurants are difficult because he has no space. He usually builds a menu wall around himself. He also quite often will only sit near DD2 or myself, occasionally DH, never DS5 and DD10. I think DH had a salad or something with gorgonzola cheese and DS8 was freaking out about the smell. Our server was great. She was very patient and tolerant as we rearranged our seating time and again. Unfortunately they sat an older couple right next to us. In fact they were so close, that if DS8 reached out his left arm, it would be touching this poor guy. They could certainly not avoid hearing every word of our conversation. I was mortified. :scared1: Fortunately, they announced to us that they “love kids” and proceeded to chat and play with them. I still felt bad and if I were them I would’ve asked for a new table. On the other hand, our food was very good! DH got something seafoody—I think the Spaghetti Fra Diavolo. He loved it. I had the steak with gorgonzola  butter and polenta and asparagus. DD10 was again thrilled to choose from the adult menu. She had the grilled chicken flatbread and Tiramisu for dessert. She loved both! The Artisan Breads and Spreads they brought us for our appetizer (apparently still included in the DDP at this restaurant) were also good. I loved the roasted garlic. This turned out to be one of our better meals.

After dinner we did the backlot tour which we really enjoyed. Of course there was no line, so that helped!:rotfl:

IMG_0386.jpg

IMG_0388.jpg

DD10 found a pink golf cart with a Sharpay Barbie she HAD to have and swore she would carry the big box around the rest of the night. :lmao: We eventually made our way over to Fantasmic. It was chilly and DH wanted to stop for hot chocolate, but the lines were too long and one of the boys had to go to the bathroom, so I continued on to the “secret” Fantasmic dinner package entrance, which took twice as long to get to as the regular entrance. DH was nowhere in sight and not answering his phone and had no idea where to go. We stood at the gate and waited until he finally showed up, then we went in and got our seats. We were only about 15 minutes early, but still able to get good seats. We thought we were far enough back to not get sprayed by the water, but no such luck. DH took off and found hot chocolate somewhere in the Fantasmic “stadium”. It was great. It was sooo much colder sitting there by the water! The show was good, but we did get wet, which was not good seeing as it was FREEZING! We dug out our trusty ponchos and shielded ourselves the best we could.

IMG_0391.jpg

When the show was over we were happy to run to our bus and get back to our resort where we found this:

IMG_0393.jpg

Which was soon replaced by this: (see how much room they left me?!)

Next up: DAY 4: MK, PPP, and poop at the Poly

we might have. :)

Funny your doing LMA I am about to do that too.

I think this is Sunday so we were at AK.

I'm sure you'll have a ton more photos! :rotfl: I thought I took a lot 'till I read your TR! I wish I had more, but when you have 4 small kids, it is hard to get pics of everything you want!

I am sure. I had 3 kids who can take care of themselves so it was alot easier.

What r those wishing star things?

They gave them to us at CRT, not really sure why. I can't remember them having a specific role in the "wishing ceremony" but that could just be my memory. I didn't know if we were supposed to keep them or not, but they said "yes, you can keep them". :confused3 They're kinda cool, they come in handy for towel art :rotfl:

aahhh.

Ok I thought Carmen gave you something we did not get. :lmao:

I was gonna call her and complain.

Really enjoying your report! I love all your pictures!

Finding a setting on your camera by bumping it, that is so something I would do! LOL!

Allyson

Whew, I made it!

I love the Breads and Spreads appie at Mama Melrose! I think I was full to the rim after it though.

I love how cute the Littles are together.

That funky LMA(+SS ;) ) sepia photo is COOL! Artsy even.

I can vouch for the quirkiness of Jhammie's DS8 with his food. He's adorable though!

Jhamma, Norah was just jumping up and down at Lily's Rella-Rella custom. She says, "Hello" to Lily and "that big girl" (DD10).

I can't believe my eyes....coats in Florida. How would it be? :confused3 I'm always wearing a thick coat of sweat.
