A Disboutiquer's "just another trip report" --THE END! updated 8/28

That's it. Next time we're going to CRT! It looks like fun!

So? You have a monsoon soon? YIKES! That blows (pun intended). But doesn't Mother Nature realize the small fortune you just shelled out at BBB? :scared1:

We had 12:00 ADRs at CRT. Check-in was a madhouse. They kept having problems with their computer and we kept having problems with line-butters.:confused3 We made it in and got our photos with Cinderella and realized we’d left our autograph books out in the stroller which we’d been forced to re-park about 5 miles away.

We had the line-butter problem at CRT both times we've been. I think some parents get into this "My DD must see Cinderella now!!" mod and they start acting like complete jerks! We even had problems on the picture line!

Love your pics! Can't wait to see more!

great update and pics.

the Cinderella pic is great.

can't wait to hear more.

Thanks!

I love all your pictures! They are great! Can't wait for more!

Allyson :)

Thank you, I'm uploading photos right now for my next installment!

I love all your pictures!!! You have got the CUTEST kids!!!

Thanks, I think so!

Thanks for the great update and pics.! I call often trying to get a breakfast or lunch for CRT, hoping for a cancellation on someone's part. So far no luck, but we do have a 4:15 dinner on our arrival day.

Dinner is better than nothing! The first time we went in 2001 for lunch there were no characters. DD3 couldn't understand why Cinderella wasn't at her castle. :confused3

Great update! What are the wands at CRT? Do they light up?

No, they are just plastic.

Great update :thumbsup2 CRT is so magical. I'm glad your children had a great time.

Thanks, we loved it!

You really do need to go! Yep, at least no one got blue hair gel on the pillowcases that night!

People get a little crazy, especially when it comes to characters.

cute pictures from CRTprincess: princess: pirate: pirate:

Thanks!

I'm loving your photos! Looking forward to seeing more.

Sharla

Thank you!

After lunch we hit Pooh Bear (well not literally, the ride I mean) and the teacups. I prefer the teacups at Disneyland because there is no “roof”. Forgive me if I make comparisons to Disneyland throughout my report. I can’t help it. Let me just say I LOVE both places. The boys just love a good water feature.

We then moved on to the “fun rides”. We caught glimpses of the “pirate tutorial” over people’s heads. The Jack Sparrow they had was verrry good. My kids kept asking “are you sure that’s not Johnny Depp?” Sorry it's blurry, that man would just not hold still! :lmao:

We had a great guide on the Jungle Cruise. He asked DD10 if she wanted to help pilot the boat and she said no! :sad2:
We were done with the Belle dress by this point--too hot.

Had to throw these pics in:

We went on Haunted Mansion, the littles did not freak out :thumbsup2 Loved that the style of the mansion is so different from Disneyland.

A little dinner and dancing Cosmic Ray’s. We actually liked it here. The food was not bad. The best part was this guy who kept the kids entertained so we could eat in peace.

DD2 got so much attention and so many compliments on her Cinderella dress. When someone tells her she looks cute, instead of “thank you” she says “uh huh!” and nods her head. :scared: By the end of the day she was just waving the parade wave at everyone she passed and nodding her head and smiling. She really thought she was one of the attractions at the park! princess:

Near the end of the day it rained a bit. DH and DS8 were using fast passes on BTM while I waited with the rest of the kids. Suddenly the clouds burst, the thunder roared, lightening lit up the sky, and torrents of rain whipped at us. We crushed in under the fast-pass distribution shelter with 500 or so other people.:crowded: This picture was after most of the people decided to make a run for it but we were still in our little shelter:

I was on the outer edge with the kids tucked in a bit and it felt like the backs of my legs were being sprayed with a firehose, so I snuggled up to a FP distribution machine to protect the backs of my legs. Fortunately we had ponchos, but we had no idea where DH and DS8 were—we had their ponchos too :scared1: DH was not answering his phone. :confused3 Finally we regrouped. They had made it to the front of the FP line when they shut the ride down. The rain finally let up to a steady drizzle and we splashed off to POTC without a single complaint from the kids.

The rain got the better of the “cool dude” hair...

IMG_0353.jpg

Some of the puddles and rivulets were ankle deep (on me). Those of us in crocs were in great shape. Those of us not in crocs were the next day because their other shoes were still soggy! :sad2: We were enjoying the thinned out crowds but the kids were getting tired. We enjoyed a little pin-trading in the rain with some very accommodating CMs.

Somewhere in the chaos of the monsoon DD2 LOST HER CROWN! I tried to go back to BBB to buy her a new one but it was roped off for Wishes.

IMG_0356_edited.jpg

DH took the big kids to Space Mountain since fireworks were “delayed” I took the littles shopping on Main Street. No tiny blue crown was to be found anywhere. DS5 was so tired and grumpy. I offered to buy him something but he was too tired to care—then he spotted cotton candy and the fog lifted from his eyes and a smile lit up his face for the rest of the night! We heard fireworks start so we raced out onto the very not crowded Main Street and watched the show. It was beautiful! It brought tears to my eyes. I met up with DH and the big kids after the fireworks. They missed the whole thing while on Space Mountain. We took the bus back to our hotel and the kids had baths/showers and went to bed.

Next up: Day 2: DHS :cheer2:

I love the pictures of your little Cinderella, especially the one where she is hugging your DS, very sweet. Too funny that she had the parade wave going on.

Love all the pictures.. your trip report is great! And I am glad you did not hit Pooh!

Awww, Luke hugging Lily is precious!

Nothing better than wet cool dude hair with wet cotton candy too.

Ugg, I hate monsoons in Orlando. What is a princess to do?

Awww what a pretty shot of the castle that is, the one in the sunny daytime. Really nice! Lovely children, even all soaked. Glad you all had fun despite the monsoon!

Waiting for more!

Allyson

Your family pictures are great! Lily is so adorable and I am sure she was the belle of the ball in her gown all day. Sorry about the missing tiara.

I have to ask, did Lily nap in her stroller or did she make it all day with no nap?

great update and pics.

which day was this?

that is nice the cm asked her if she wanted to drive the boat. too bad she said no.

very nice update.

Oh my goodness! Your kids are adorable! Loving the report so far.

Yet another great update! I love the picture of Luke and Lily, too! How sweet! :lovestruc

I think it's a requirement to have a monsoon at least once on a Disney vacation.

Did you go to lost and found for Lily's crown? When Tessa was 2, she lost her shoes at MGM (according to her, they ran out into the road and got hit by a car) and they actually mailed them back to us, free of charge!
