referred to as Davy Crockett and by the popular title "King of the Wild Frontier". He represented Tennessee in the U.S. House of Representatives, served in the Texas Revolution, and died at the age of 49 at the Battle of the Alamo.

I used to have to watch this show when I was a little girl cause I had 3 older brothers....
Then, I had 2 kids studying Texas history, so we had to go see the Alamo....twice. I'll remember it now!

Day of departure
We plan on getting CS breakfast and lunch to use up our credits. Maybe Rob & the kids will go swimming one last time. I am sure our DME bus back to the airport will be at 3:30 pm as our JetBlue flight leaves at 6:30 pm. We have a layover at JFK and then touchdown in Syracuse at 12:14 am. Whew!! A long day it will be but we can all sleep in...

We never got to meet in person this week, but I spoke to DM on the phone- and she said that I HAD AN ACCENT!! The Upstate New Yorker telling the Jersey Girl she had an accent! (Pot calling the kettle black, for sure!!!)

Now, talking about ACCENTS ----- COURTNEY has the BEST!!!!! Dana fell in love with her accent - and the BEST part was in the middle of our "Group Tower of Terror ride" - Courtney shouts out, "Oh dear! What SHALL we DO?!" in the BEST SOUTHERN BELLE DRAWL you could ever hear!!!

Crazy Kanga (Laura) has a great southern accent, too! Just love to hear the two of them talk! "y'all" made our trip that much more fun!!
