A DIS stalker's first pre-trippie...It's D-Day (Disney Day)!!

Hi DM - I haven't checked out this thread in a few days and boy, a lot to catch up on!! I love the sunglasses! I'm jealous of your front loaders...that's what I wanted when we had to get new ones last year but they won't fit in our laundry room...oh, I mean laundry closet! When they built my house I think they forgot the laundry until the end :lmao:

We intended to have a yard sale before our trip but we just haven't had time. We did have the local thrift store come by and pick up 13 garbage bags of adult clothes on Friday...and we still probably have that many more to donate but we haven't been through everthing yet.

I'll keep a closer watch on this thread within the next week...our trips are getting so close now!!

I like the sunglasses too. I'm not too sure about them now that I have worn them for a couple of hours. They may sit too close to the eyes and that may bug me in WDW. But they were cheap and I'm still taking them. If they bug me too much, that will give me an excuse to buy another Mickey pair of shades! :cool1:

When our drier started leaving grease marks on just about everything and we could not for the life of us figure it out, we decided that it was time to buy a whole new set. We decided to bite the bullet and get the front loaders and I am so glad we did. We don't really have a laundry room. Our washer and drier are in the hallway that lead from our kitchen to our ½ bath. Any visiting guest sees them if they need to use our bathroom. So, I have to keep that room clean! I really really want the bases that go with them.

I will post daily now with everything I am doing for our trip. Some of it, okay probably most of it, will be diddily piddily things but it's all in fun. Tick tock...only 5 more days!!!!

Sorry just had to say did you know all our washing machines are front loaders, we don't have the top loading ones :confused3

That was interesting wasn't it :lmao:

I am getting quite a bit of use out of my washer and dryer today...the baby has thrown up three times today

I have loved your pretrip report especially with all your prior trips...great idea!!!!

In less then a week yoou will be in the happiest place on earth....take lots of pics and have a blast!

Just catching up DM. Loving the glasses!
Woohoo!! Only 5 more days 'til you hit The World!!!

Add me to the Laundry lovers. Here's my thinking, if you do laundry while still in Disney you don't have any to do when you get back. ;)
We did laundry like 4 times this last trip, very convenient to be in a DVC with personal washer and dryer. Ahhhhh. :cloud9:

DM - I got a PM from the guy (Disney Dude) who is getting the Croc after me. He said that we were supposed to be getting one called Freddie, but something happened to it. He said we are getting one called Fredia now. Do you know anything about this? I was just wondering if this exchanging of the crocs was still happening.

I had it a little wrong. Disney Dude told me that we were supposed to be exchanging Freddie, but that Freddie is listed as RIP. He said he didn't want to go through 90 pages to figure out why. Anyway... he said we are now exchanging Felicia Von Focker Crocker.

I will probably do a load or 2 on 1 night. And I am sure I will still have a lot of laundry when I get back. But that's okay with me...

He's mixed up. We have always been scheduled to have Felicia. She did go missing a bit ago but was found. The person who had her never made the exchange because she was sick.

Cathy (twob4him) has her before me. She is giving me Felicia on Saturday 6/23 at Epcot. I want to meet up with you at MGM on Wednesday to exchange her. We just need to come up with a time and place....

Try rinsing them with a cup of plain vinegar. Do a double rinse and then toss them into the dryer. :thumbsup2 Always works for me.
Thx!:thumbsup2

We don't have garage sales over here we do car boot sales in a big field most Sundays. Everyone piles all their stuff in the back of their cars and sells it. I hate them but we did one before we moved house 2 years ago and sold all the kids junk and got $400  I then sold another $400 through free adverts in the paper and we bought the girls a big trampoline with enclosure

Just called flea markets here!
Mom and I have big intentions of doing a yard sale in her front yard--we have been collecting stuff in her basement since I moved in Jan--but now neither of us wants to commit a Saturday to actually do it! So, it may get donated too!

TE - do you clean your washing machine once a month? That may help!

Well, now I am wiping it out after each load and leaving the door open--just seems like more trouble than my 1979 Hotpoint one!

And the laundry lovers are multipying....:grouphug:

Oh and TE - try putting a little bit of bleach in the water with the towels. I have to do that sometimes too.

Thanks too!:thumbsup2

Really? These are pretty new here (and much more $$)--I paid $1600 for a pair--actually still paying but gotta pay it off next month when the free interest stops!

What brand do you have?

DM--I got a buy one pedestal, get one free deal at Lowes--check there sometime. I thought $200 each was a lot too.

I've got a Bosch, had a Zannussi for years though, my Nanny used to have a top loader but Mum always had a front loader so that's at least 40 years, about time we had stuff before you :rotfl: I think it was about $600 but dryers are only about $250, I still don't know how comparable our money is you still haven't told me how much your McDonalds happy meals are so we can compare :lmao: They're $4 here!!!!!

So with only 4 more days until our trip, what have I accomplished? Do I start giggling now?

Rob has just about all of his clothes all set. I need to iron a couple of things for him but he's done. I will pack the kids clothes on Thursday and mine on Friday.

I placed out 2 of our larger suitcases on our deck to air out from the basement. The first pic has the lime green sleeveless shirt laying flat to dry on... That was one my good buys! :thumbsup2

I went to BJs Wholesale today and bought some more stuff. I went just for water and pull ups but came back with a bunch more things. I just love bulk stuff. I bought some more spray sunscreen. I wanted a small tube for the facial area but I saw this one with both the spray and the lotion so I grabbed it. I think we're all set in the sunscreen department. I also got some children's ibuprofen because you just never know. There have been many a vacation that one of the kids had spiked a 24-hour fever or just had a headache. So, we'll bring a bottle of this. Then I saw these adult Tylenol Go Tabs. Has anyone tried these yet? They are chewable. Seems like a good idea to bring a couple while in the parks just in case Rob or I get headaches. My impulse buying sometimes gets the best of me...

I also was able to stop by Panera Bread to get gift cards for the boys' teachers and Red Lobster for a gift card to my friend B--- who is watching Jake while we are gone. Yes, she has the long-lost waterpark tickets and yes, they are still intact. She checked them out at guest services while she was down there a couple of weeks ago. :thumbsup2

Finally, I just thought I'd show you the pile of stuff still sitting next to my dresser just waiting to be packed. While you're at it, look at the horrible colour of our bedroom wall! That was the biggest mistake ever and we never had the energy to correct it.
P1000625.jpg

That's the summary of today's to-do/got done list. Stay tuned until tomorrow to see if that pile gets any smaller....

I suppose with less than one week until our Boardwalk DVC trip I should probably start thinking about packing ..
:cool1:

Now everyone remember the song, "I Want Candy"? Now replace the words with these words and sing a long with me!

I Love Laundry...I Love Laundry!!

I'm so pleased the tickets are still intact, have you got them? Are you using them?

The tickets are not actually in my posession yet... B--- is coming over tomorrow for lunch and we're going to go over all the "doggie" things and she will bring the tickets then.

We will now have 2 adult tickets and 1 child ticket for waterpark admission. Rob is taking the boys and, (getting ready for the flames), I am going to have him use an adult ticket on Evan (who is only just about 8 yo) and the old child one on Alec. Evan will just have to lie about his age. I'm hoping that works. Please don't hate me because I'm beautiful. Er, I mean it's not like I'm trying to pay a child price for an adult. I'm doing the opposite to save money...:confused3

No one will flame you DM you're doing the opposite of what most people would do :rotfl:

DM--- that wall color hurts my eyes =) How long has it been that way?

We made that mistake once with bright yellow-- we had to wear sunglasses when we walked in the room.... We left it that way for about two weeks- that's all we could take of it!

It's so hard to pick out paint colors! Looking at a little bitty swatch and trying to imagine what it will look like on four huge walls!
