Our spring break was last week. Right now... they are both off to school! 
A DIS stalker's first pre-trippie...It's D-Day (Disney Day)!!

This was the trip that I got to celebrate my birthday in Disney World. Again, I didn't know that I should have mentioned to anyone during the day so I got NOTHING. Wait a minute...I did get something from Fulton's Crab House but I'll tell you about that later.
I decided that for the first half of "my day" that we would go to the now defunct Discovery Island. I thought that may be a neat thing to do and it was. I posed for this one...can you tell?
We saw lots and lots of birds...
Here's one of me feeding a bird. I have to tell you that's what I'm doing cause this picture truly is as blurry as you are seeing. Rob doesn't always take a good pic and he always blames the camera....
This pic I thought was cool because I was just saying to Rob that I was trying to pic out which bird was which when this one flew down and landed right on his name...
Then we headed over to MGM Studios thinking Billy and Jen would show up but then never did. They ended up going to Blizzard Beach. Oh well. Rob and I had fun.
I really loved the way the Studios looked walking down the street and seeing the Theatre instead of the Sorcerer's hat.
And one more "blast from the past". Ya'll remember Ellen?
So, I don't have anymore pictures from that day but I have a story to tell...
Rob and I met Billy and Jen at Fulton's Crab House for dinner. We had always wanted to go there just thinking it would be a cool place to dine. I picked it out. I got the king crab legs and key lime pie for dessert. I thought the key lime pie had a funny taste. I questioned the waiter asking if it was key lime cheesecake because it had a "cheesy" taste. He gave me a bit of an attitude and said no. I ate about half and was VERY disappointed.
We all headed on over to Pleasure Island for the night. We were to meet up with Mom and Dad and Vick and Irma. But before we did the 4 of us went into the Adventurer's Club. It was real fun but my stomach was feeling a bit crampy. All of a sudden I ran to the bathroom and had a bad bout of, well I guess you can guess. I must have been in there for 10 minutes. That was the treat I was telling you about that Fulton's gave me for my birthday.
I am glad I knew enough to go into one of the shops afterward and asked the CM to look behind the counter for Pepto Bismol. She was a bit clueless at first but she found some for me. No more incidents after that.
Jen and I had fun sipping on raspberry bellini's. I think it was Cast Member night because we met a couple of CMs having a good time there. Jen and I were very flirty with everyone. Rob and Billy could care less...
We went on over to 8 Trax where Jen did tell the bartender it was my birthday and he made the strongest drink ever, but it sure was good. Jen and I were singing, "Paradise by the Dashboard Light" as loud as we could. We were quite something.
Mom, Dad, Vick & Irma had joined up with us by that time and we all went over to the Rock 'n Roll Club and dance our butts off to a live band. Irma bought us all a bunch of Jello shooters. Yummo! From there, the night went on...we just cruised the clubs dancing away. It was a pretty good birthday!

Didn't realize you were home with the kids all week - or maybe I did and just forgot. So I guess I shouldn't expect to hear from you for another week, huh??? You are going to turn into me!

sorry to hear about the pie incident. I betcha can't eat the stuff to this day.
Did you see the thread to post old and new pics? Its under touring and attractions I think. You really gotta get some of these great pics in there!
I am home with the kids all week too. Can you say....naptime?
Everyday I am Dising, cleaning out a different closet or room, shopping, and sleeping late!
That is my idea of a good time....boy things have change!

I haven't had the chance to hate Barney yet b/c I have yet to have children, but I'll keep that version of the song handy so I can use it when I finally hate him!

Oh sooooooooo bad! I can't say that I hate Barney. My kids only watched him a little so we didn't have that "burn out". Seriously, I really liked singing the "I love you, you love me" song to my kids. You big bunch of meanies!
I am one of those people that sing all the songs to my kids even if I sound bad. I was in my daughter's bedroom last night singing princess songs with her. Maybe I'll sing for you all if I get to meet you!!

I'm working on the next one. I was debating on whether to put the Universal one in... as it was a rainy day and not too thrilling. I'm working on getting a picture from my Dad because that picture was the bestest (nice word, eh?). He's not too quick with finding things...Can't wait to hear about Universal Studios......

I am a singer also... not a good one by any means.....actually I think I really torture my kids... I will sing in the car... and walking around the kitchen... they really "love" it when I sing the rap songs.... and start dancing.... what ever happen to the days when they loved to sing along with me
the best is when my DD(17) has her boyfriend over and I start singing.... Wild thing....you make my heart sing.....Wild thing...I think I love ya!!!Disneyolic

Well the obvious choice would be Universal Studios, right? Especially when Daddy says he's going to pay for us all! Yippee...did I mention how much I love my Daddy?
So, it's the whole clan, again. Let me refresh you: me, Rob, my Mom & Dad, my brother Billy and his GF Jen, uncle & aunt Vick & Irma, and cousins Russell & Jackie. Billy, Jen, Rob & I squished into Mom & Dad's car and the rest took their own car. As we were pulling into the parking garage the weather overcast, the rain had stopped, so we were all excited. Things were a bit wet still but what the heck.
Jen & I started goofing off and running through the parking garage to the moving sidewalk. Big mistake. Wet moving sidewalk and running girl do not mix. SLIP!!! Up go my feet into the air with my butt slamming down on the ground. Everyone ran over to see if I was okay which I was, just extremely embarrassed. Now, we're walking slowly toward the end of the garage and look out....
Crap. Not looking so good. We all look at each other and decide let's just bag it. Not worth it (uhm, I mean not worth Dad's money). We get almost back to our cars and it stops raining. We all look at each other again and decide, why not? So back we head to the gate of Universal Studios and what does it do again? Yup, it starts to sprinkle at this time. We all sucked it up and went for it anyway.
It really wasn't so bad during the day. Most of the attractions are indoors. This was my first time to Universal Orlando (I had been to Hollywood twice). I have to admit I liked Orlando better.
Do you all remember the shows, Hercules & Xena? Well, they had an interactive show at US involving some audience members. We were the loudest bunch and got my brother up on stage to take part in one of the scenes. What the heck where those half man/half horse thingies called? That's what my brother was! It was funny watching him up there because he is just a tad on the shy side.
Later in the day, we also got him up on stage to do a scene in the Earthquake show. Ahh, the fun..
We all decided to go to the Hard Rock Cafe for lunch. We were drenched rats at this point. I'm even going to show you a picture of Rob & I looking, well, looking like drenched rats! My hair isn't THAT bad. At least it kind of curls up when it is wet but still looking bad...
Jen was smart enough to wear Billy's hat...
So this is what it looked like pretty much all day...
...but we all had a great day!
Now, I forgot to post this picture of Billy & I at the Magic Kingdom. I just liked the picture of the two of us, so here it is.

Sadly, they broke up. Billy just couldn't commit and Jen finally said goodbye. She is happily married to an army serviceman for the 10th Mountain Division at Ft. Drum. I miss her but I guess only your Mother can pick out who is suitable for someone...
Billy is engaged now and has a 2-month-old baby girl - yes, he did it backwards!
