I was looking to purchase travel Insurance for our family of 4 for our April Cruise. I just noticed that my Chase Visa offers pretty good travel benefits for most issues including delays and cancelations. Has anyone ever had to use their credit card insurance to file a claim?
If I just let it ride and use the Chase travel Insurance, my best bet would probably be just pick up a medical insurance plan for out of the USA for our family of 4, correct?

Do you want “cancel for any reason” coverage of cruise, hotel, transportation?

Check the details on your card’s coverage to make sure it covers cancellations if something happens in your life and you make the choice to not cruise.

This 1000 times. We have missed several trips in our lives including probably five cruises, and the majority were for "other reasons." The any reason cancellation was a real life saver. I'm now looking around and trying to find an annual policy that offers "any reason cancellation," and I'm not having much luck. It's those things in life that come up unexpectedly that more often than not cause a cancellation.

The CC insurance is a nice fallback when things don't work out, but you have to make sure you (usually) that you pay for the entire trip on that card.

I was wondering about doing the same with my Sapphire Reserve card. It has great travel insurance and wondering if it would cover the cost to meet the ship if our flight is delayed?

That would be something you'd have to look up in the card holder info. Or call them and ask.
