A Daily Lesson in Parenting and Manners: A TR by a real life Wicked Stepmom!

As others have said, you made my day with another update. You are a brilliant writer and catch me up with emotions on every single entry. I laugh, I cry, I get all warm and fuzzy. Thank you for sharing your talent.

And may I add that IMHO, you also have brilliant parenting skills. Can I send my 35 year old daughter for some 'talkin to'

Thanks again.

Miss Cammie, I love your trip reports. I came across them about a month ago and it's taken me that long to catch up (dh keeps complaining that I spend time here on the laptop!).

It has been a very long week for a lot of us, and dh's who want to spend Saturday on home improvement seem to have taken over.... Only one trip to Home Depot for me today!

In two weeks I'll be at the minnie marathon with Minnie Mouse--do you think it would be okay with Sally if I dropped her name with Minnie? It's a big weekend for me, and I need all the support I can get to finish! Sally's bff status with Minnie might just get me that little extra oomph with Minnie! :rolleyes1

Can't wait to read the next installment. By the time we're done with this TR, it should be time for the pre-trippie--which means uninterrupted wicked stepmotherness!

Thanks for sharing. Enjoy your Sunday!

Duckie

Feel free to name drop!!! I'm sure Sally won't mind!! Good luck with the marathon!! :cool1:

Miss Cammie,

Now, I've always enjoyed Diet Coke, but never felt the need to have it. I am not blaming you at all for my current obsession with it either.

Last week after my karate class while I was sitting and talking with my instructor, he was drinking a diet coke (his obsession may rival yours). I suddenly had an uncontrollable craving for a diet coke, but I could only quench it when I got to work the next morning.

I also now find that having the diet coke may be the cure for my non-diagnosed ADD at work. I was sooo much more productive after I drank it. Today is the real test though. Hopefully I'll be just as productive today!

Diet Coke is the elixir of life. It is. It is the cure for all that ails. I love it. I am devoted. God invented Diet Coke as proof that he wants human beings to be happy!!!:teacher:

:lmao:

I don't know if the eyebrow arch works on grown up kids but I'm willing to give it a shot!!!:thumbsup2 :goodvibes

thanks for reading!!!!

ahhhhhhhh . . . another wonderful installment. I can't seem to get enough Sally- and Teddy-isms (or Miss Cammie-isms for that matter). Those two are a laugh riot!!! :rotfl:

Maybe you can manufacture and market Pal Sally and Pal Teddy for people to take to Disneyworld with them. I know I'd buy one of each!!!

Looking forward to the next chapter . . . whenever you have time to write it . . . I'll be right here waiting on the edge of my seat. popcorn::

MissCammie, I find myself checking for updates way too often!

I can certainly sympathize with you about the hygienically challenged. My older Son and I were caught behind one of the anti-Speed Stick crew in line for POTC. We were both gagging (quietly, of course, so as not to offend the offensive).

Oh, and my flip flops melted on me, too! We were at Hollywood Studios (I can't get used to calling it that) in September and I noticed my feet kind of slipping and sliding around. I am going to pick my footwear more carefully this time around. 4 weeks to go for us. Woo Hoo!

Yay Miss Cammie is back!!! Hope all is well.....I was needing a dose of wonderful wicked step-motherness!!! Kids are amazing, they can hold a ton of info! Right now I am getting a lecture on sharks and whales....<yes honey, that is amazing!> Wish my DD had a step-mother/step-girlfriend like you instead of what she deals with!!!

Very cute. My Matthew would get along great with Teddy! I hear you on the smell. I lived in Germany for a bit and there is nothing worse than riding a crowded train in August in France, YUCK!!

Another great report!! Zebra eggs!!....gotta love that Teddy!! Poor Sally, that hairy cr.... probably scared her more than anything!! Cant wait to ready about Kali, I'm sure the kids loved being wet after that ride!!

I have a secret: I used to hate trip reports. DH and I would chuckle that people would post pictures from their trips (especially the food!) and think that others would care.

I am officially converted! Not only am I on pins and needles waiting for updates I have attempted my own TR! You are awesome!

You really need to quit it with the cute Teddy stories or I am going to start the wedding plans for Megan and your sweet boy. I love the zebra eggs!

I was fixing to jump the line, Sally was pointing out large leafy plants that I could throw up in without a lot of notice, and Teddy kept sniffing himself like a little puppy. He couldn't believe that he smelled that bad, but he was pretty sure it HAD to be him!

This is easily one of the funniest lines I've ever read. That really is a "picture" of the sweaty, intensely human moments in life. One that you can look back on now and laugh about. Since, you know, you can't smell it anymore. ;)

Great update!

:flower3:

I just wanted to let you know that I just started reading your trip report (im on page 4) and I'm officially hooked. I'm going in august with my BF (his first time) and am beyond excited. Also I would like to say how impressed I am with how you deal with your family situation. It is obvious that you care deeply for your stepchildren and I'm so glad you got to take them for their own disney magic.:earsboy:. And one last thing, I think the work that you do is wonderful and also agree that teachers and other individuals in the education field need to be better educated on issues such as autism and other mental disorders. My brother has struggled his whole life through school only to be diagnosed over and over again with the various different disorders. And I believe that most of his teachers were not equipped enough to be able to handle him in their classroom. Thanks again for this hilarious report, I'm disappointed that I'm finding it so late after your trip is over.

"Zebra eggs!" :rotfl2: was the highlight of my day!

Sorry to hear you got stuck with the student group in line. Luckily, the didn't get on 'Teddy's Truck' for the safari.

I love your trip report Miss Cammie. The kids and their commentary on Disney are great entertainment. :thumbsup2

This is the second time today that I've come out of lurkdom! I've followed your trip report since the beginning, and I look forward to each new segment. I was very happy to read that you'll be returning to WDW for a longer trip. Thanks for taking the time to put your experiences with those two little cuties into such an enjoyable report!

:lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2: Oh Teddy's enthusiasm is priceless! I'm loving :lovestruc the trippie. I say this all the time...hope you don't get sick of it! Sorry about the stinky wait in line... glad it got movin before you had to make a quick exit! Yikes! :laundy: Can't wait to hear about Kali!...You all need a dream fast pass right about now! :cloud9:

Great update ! This whole update had me :rotfl2:
Until the "Anytime. I went to a really good nursery school" line then I :happytv: . My receptionist thought I was laughing at her !
Can't wait to hear about Kali, especially since you've already said you didn't want to be wet.

Oh and if you make those Pal Teddy & Pal Sally dolls I'm in line.
Lynn

I have finally caught up on your TR. This is, hands down, the BEST TR- EVER!!! You have made me laugh and cry so many times over the last few weeks! But, this line is the first one that made me laugh so hard I cried. Seriously, I've got tears streaming down my face.

Teddy kept sniffing himself like a little puppy. He couldn't believe that he smelled that bad, but he was pretty sure it HAD to be him!

just checking in Miss Cammie, hoping all is well with you and yours.

Hopefully the return to reality (IYKWIM) has not been too much for your adorable step-children.

Teddy is just so cute!!! Loved hearing his knowledge of the safari ride.;) Glad to have you back.:)

I have been lurking on this board for years. Officially signed on in January and this is just my second post. But let me tell you, I discovered your TR this past week and just finished it this morning.

DIS has long been a go to place for me when I have a question and it has been very helpful in my trip planning. (I love planning ALMOST as much as I love the trips) But your TR has been so entertaining and so sweet, now I am just hooked. I have cried, I have laughed, and I have certainly been able to relate.

Just having discovered you this week, I thought, "Poor me, I'm late to the party, I'd better catch up!" Now, I'm thinking "You idiot, you read through Miss Cammie's TR so quickly, now what are you going to do? No more Miss Cammie! No more Teddy, no more Sally!!!" (Please, give me more. I know how you like the word "Please")

I can relate to you in so many ways.

Where do I begin... with my inner Donald,

...or my now 9 year old son (very Teddy-like. Would you like to know what possible shenanigans you have to look forward to as Teddy grows? Naw, I won't spoil it for you. Just enjoy the ride!). :lmao:

...Maybe my love of ranting and raving, rambling, hemming an' hawwing, running off on tangents......whatever you call it, I certainly do it! I know that people are always thinking "Get to the point, already!!" But, I just can't seem to stay on track. What were we talking about, again?

...Perhaps I should begin with the whole "blended family" or is it "broken family?" What are they calling it these days? I have one. Only in mine I am the "bio-mom" Really "the mom" and if my son had had a step-mom like you, then we would have been truly blessed. But, he did not and now she is his ex-stepmom, but she gave him a sweet little sister and he loves his little sister. If not for that little girl I would say a lot of very ugly things about his ex-wicked-stepmother. :headache:

I keep trying to relate to your kids' "real mom", "first mom" - what is she? Not "real" nurturing, that is for sure. Anyway, I cannot find a way to relate to her. I know she must have a lot of painful feelings inside. I do know that, because the situation is hard for everyone. But it sounds like she uses the kids so much to try to cover her own pain. Why isn't she concentrating on relieving their pain!!??!! Okay, now I am getting mad. "Don't make me come up there!!"

Truth is I have to get my son to batting practice, then lacrosse practice and I have a big game to coach later today and I need to get it together. I coach for a living and your little TR is going to get me fired, because all I can think of is you and your sweet little family. And I swear, I know I will call someone Teddy or Sally today and try to play it off, like "Really, kids there are so many of you, I can't keep you all straight. Now go run that play I taught you, what's it called again? It's name is now Teddy, so go run it and leave me alone."

Seriously, I can't wait to hear more. MORE!!!!! PLEASE.
