just checking in since it'sbeen awhile since I've been on the boards Sorry about your rash, but glad it's all better now!! I use All allergon free because sometimes different detergents will do that to my son. Not all the time so I will think it's o,k. Then WHAM he's all broke out. So I find it better to stick with allergon free although I do sneak my tide with febreeze in every now and then since that doesn't seem to bother him (crossing fingers, toes, knees, knoking on wood and praying) now.
When I call my kids Drs office I'll get the run around unless I say my name and who's mom I am if they (and the new ones always do!) give me the run around I'll ask to speak to one of the head nurses by name and that does it. Of course the new ones hate it when they tell me they can't get us in fot 2 or 3 days and then their supervisor works us in immediatly. But weve been there longer than most of the nurses and they know if I call it is for something important and the Drs know me well and will overrule them. Of course I'm always polite and use my southern manners!

Keim was my maiden name and was wondering if you were a long lost relative?

Do you spend a lot of time pronouncing and spelling it for people? I sure did. I always thought once I was married I wouldn't have to spell my last name any more but no go.

We moved down here for my hubby's job. I soooo miss real Italian food. They have no clue here. We have found the the best Italian restaurant in Atlanta is my kitchen! When I ask for things at the grocery store, they look at me like I have two heads! You should have seen the look I got at the deli counter when I asked for hot capicola

LOL, candlekatie, as a Chicago transplant to Atlanta in 1979, you should have seen the look when I asked for Italian Sausage on a pizza back then.

Yep, sausage pizza was made with breakfast sausage when we moved here. (Yes, it's as bad as it sounds!)

And I never thought to ask for corned beef on rye hot instead of cold like a ham and cheese.

MissCammie, give Sally and Teddy a hug for us. Can't wait to read more.

Sorry everybody, but this has been a pretty intense week work wise. We've got conferences and such. As I was out with the pretend measles last week I've got a TON of catching up to do. It may be this weekend before I can get started on another chapter. I know I was putting them out pretty quickly before, but now I'm SWAMPED with stuff. It's crazy.

I thought about your Animal Kingdom bus ride yesterday. We were visiting my grandmother-in-law and my 3 year old lifted her dress... and flashed the entire room! Just before we left the house she'd sat in a fire ant pile so I stripped her to put cream on the bites and in my rush to leave the house I completely forgot to put underwear back on her! Oops!

My Mom also used to say "Stop being ugly!" It drove me CRAZY when she said that. She's from the South but I grew up near Washington DC and it never made any sense to me to use the word "ugly" to describe action as opposed to appearance. Now that I'm a mom living in the South, that phrase suddenly makes perfect sense! It's appropriate in so many situations and I find myself using it more and more as my 8 and 10 year olds start getting into that sassy stage.
