A Daily Lesson in Parenting and Manners: A TR by a real life Wicked Stepmom!

i had a chapter all written...nice long chapter...then the computer froze while the husband was working on it and he turned it off...without saving what I had written.

so now the chapter is GONE. I seriously cried.

I'll re-write it...but I'm just too annoyed to even attempt it at the moment.

to top that off, Teddy has been attempting to perfect his use of the utterance "DUH" this weekend...just Mr. Sassy Britches all day...needless to say he's had some timeouts and loss of privileges. Child had better NOT say duh to me or he's going to have to start perfecting his ability to walk with a LIMP.

so NOT kidding. Of course Teddy is no dummy...he's not going to talk to ME that way...he's just saying it to his sister...and his father...too bad for him I've got super human hearing!

GRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!

So irked at the moment. Donald is pretty much at full volume.

sorry y'all...I'll get it out soon.

:headache:

ohh, my, goodness!! you are so in need of :flower3: and  !!

When my oldest was 14 she decided to keep saying "shoot" no matter what I said, punishment I doled out, etc...until I started saying "bang" every time. Now "shoot" comes out about once a month.

But I have no words for "DUH":confused3

SAID IN EEYORE'S VOICE....." OOOOOOH DEAR MISS CAMMIE....IT'S OKAAAAY....WE'LL BE HERE WAAAAAITING"

How frustrating for you. Post whenever you feel up to it.
(Tomorrow, okay????? Pretty pleeeeeze?)

Boys will boys. My "little" brother (who is 23) is still like this on a fairly regular basis. But at least we can (mostly) laugh about it now.

Hang in there, Miss Cammie.

That sounds like the day I had yesterday with my own son! Everything I said he would tell me to shhhh! :headache: :headache: :headache: I was fuming and ofcourse we were in public and after the third time I simple said get in the car we are going home your father can stay with the rest of the kids and he has his own car! Let's go! I grabbed his hand and started for the car and WOW just like :wizard: that he said he was sorry and he would behave. Not another problem until a few hours later with his little brother! I think the only one that behaved all day was my STEPSON!!! Of course he is 17 and he knows that when I flash the EYEBROW that he stays inline!

Hey Miss Cammie,

We're going to be down at the same time in August. Guess I'll have to be on the look-out for the Camoflauge diaper dude with a diet coke bottle tucked into it. :rolleyes1

/
hang in there Miss Cammie!!! My daughter hasn't seen the light of day for a week because without fail, everymorning, I get at least two "whatevers" strategically combined with a rolling of the eyes.

I don't know who is being punished more. Me or her.

Speaking from the perspective of a grandma of delightful children after having had some very difficult children I can attest to the fact that payback can be delightful and entertaining.:lmao:

I watch my formerly rebellious daughter worrying over each tiny transgression that her children commit in fear that they might harbor some of her early traits and I smile.:)

I can smile because I am sure that my grandchildren are not nearly as prone to the errors of their parents OR it is because I am removed from the situation by a degree and can send the little darlings home to their parents if they should exhibit such tendencies. popcorn::

I am off to add a layer of Nice n Easy to my head to cover up my parenting stress.:rotfl:

Congratulations to all you parents who have nothing worse than a rolling eyeball or snide remark to worry about. You are doing great!:worship:

is that you Mom???? :rotfl2:

And if it's not, (although you say the same things she does--and I've even called to apologize to her for what I did in hopes of redemption!) you sure sound like her!!! I never thought rolling eyes at me would be so annoying!!!:headache:

:lmao: :lmao: I'll be waiting for the new segment.
If I may ask, Miss Cammie-for those of us who will be at WDW at the same time the CambellScots will be, if we spot the CampbellScotts is it appropriate to approach them, or would you prefer we not?

Oh Darn! No chapter..... Oh well, I shall wait and be patient! :) Here Miss Cammie, Tthis is for you - Here's hoping that today was a much better day and tomorrow is close to perfection! So hop on the couch, put up your feet, have that Sally Rally of yours bring you a nice cold one (diet coke that is) and just RELAX! :goodvibes

Sounds like a frustrating day Miss Cammie!:confused3 We'll be waiting here patiently for your next update. I'm sure Teddy is just going through one of the many stages that children go through. Hang in there.:flower3:

sunnyday123, hello there dd. :rotfl: Even though I probably did not give birth to you, one does tend to remember such events, I can tell you true that we all turn into our mothers someday. May you be on the receiving end of a plea for forgiveness one day AND not be in sore need of such. :worship:

If I had had the wise counsel of someone like CampbellScott I would have been more perfect as a mom and my kids more perfect than they are.

Hi! I have been catching up on your report all weekend and I finally made it to the last chapter. I have thoroughly enjoyed hearing about your family and your trip.

I feel alot of your pain as I am a "Wicked Step Mom" of a now 16 year old daughter. She was 3 when we married. Let me tell you sister, it has been a bumpy ride :)

Loving your family and your report !

Hang in there Miss Cammie! And rest assured that whenever the next chapter is done . . . your adoring public will be waiting here to read it!!

 So sorry to hear about the lost chapter and bad day! It will get better, and I will be patient as far as the chapter goes. However, I will be constantly checking for the new update:surfweb: ...patiently checking very, very often!!!!

Miss Cammie. It has taken me about 10 days to catch up to the current point of your thread. I love your rantings....ahhh, postings! You have me cracking up. :lmao: Lucky you, it sounds like you must have a wonderful husband and step kids. I would love to see a good close up picture of all of you together. I can hardly wait for the next installment! Please don't make us wait too long! Because of your postings I have noticed there is an inner Donald in me! QUACK
