had to share this story with someone ....
we were at seaworld san diego on sunday 2/20 --- watching the "pets rule" show i dont know if they have "pets rule" in orlando

anyway its a cute little show with mostly dogs and cats doing cool things ... there also a pig and at one part when all the hosts "go backstage and leave the pets in charge" some sort of birds (maybe homing pigeons) fly from the treehouse stage over the audience and to (i assume) some sort of cage behind the theatre ... right after the birds fly away a big dog runs up the treehouse steps and slides down the treehouse slide ... only he's got something in his mouth ... what is he shaking back and forth in his mouth? you guessed it some poor bird who forgot to fly away and here's fido doing his doggie thing with it ... he gets to the bottom of the slide and proceeds to de-feather this bird in front of the entire audience ... we're stunned ... my DD keeps asking "mommy whats the dog doing?" "why is the doggie eating the bird?" "is that suppose to happen?" the audience is either quiet or snickering .... and becuase the hosts have "left the pets in charge" no CM seems to be aware of what is happening ... finally one comes out clapping and sorta saying "are these pets great?" and he spots the feather mess and stops ... dog grabs bird and runs to another part of the stage ... cm finally catches on and grabs dog and dead bird and runs back stage ... a moment later the show seems to continue and a few more pets do their things ... mostly ignoring the carnage of feathers all over the stage though a cat stopped to sniff (audiences groans loudly) show continues and ends with no mention of birdie homicide... audience applauds politely and files out. the end. crazy, huh?

The CM's are 'Trained' to go on with the show and work around whatever miss step happens. Granted, I have never heard of a performer being 'eaten' during a show. I am surprised though, that there wasn't a spotter in the show watching encase something happened. There should have been a 'producer' watching from the audience with communications to the people back stage.

Even though that is a horrible thing to happen during a show with your kids watching, I couldn't help myself but to laugh-Sorry, I mean seriously the dog was just being a dog and I can't believe that they don't have someone watching out for any problems that could arise. If that would have happened when my kids were watching they would have starting sobbing for the poor bird, I bet now they will keep a closer eye on the animals when they are in charge!!
