So, if we buy LLMP or LL$ before our trip for a day we plan to be in a specific park, are we out of luck if we want to go to a different park (maybe for weather reasons) when the trip starts or someone gets sick on the day of?

Also, for those who have been to MK on party days this month, are you still finding low crowds if you arrive early? I'm wondering if the "secret" is out and these days are just as crowded as any other - especially by December when my trip is.

Thanks!

Yes, that trend seems to be continuing

You can modify LLMP and LLSP after purchase, including switching LLMP to another park and LLSP to a different ride. See here on how to do it: https://touringplans.com/blog/how-t...-disney-world-guide-faq-llmp-llsp/#whole-pass

Expect to pay more if switching to a more expensive park or ride. Don't expect a refund if switching to a less expensive one. I've seen one vlogger (Molly of Mammoth Club) say you get a credit for future LL purchases if switching to a less expensive one, but I've no idea how that works and no one else seems to have reported that.

Magic Kingdom is still less busy on party days before the party guests arrive than on non-party days. Yes, more people than ever have heard about the lower crowds on those days. But the majority of guests buy base tickets and cannot park hop. So, they are faced with the choice of going to MK on a party day, enjoying lower crowds, but having to leave early and miss the evening parade and fireworks; or else they can go on a non-party day, face more crowds, but have several extra hours to do everything including see the parade and fireworks. Many choose to go on the non-party day and put up with the crowds. If you can park hop, I'd recommend you start your day in MK on a party day, then leave when it gets crowded. (I haven't been to MK lately. I'm basing that on what I've seen reported about crowd levels.)
