A couple of questions about adding points...

So we are thinking about adding on 25 points and I've heard that if we buy the points in april 2011, for our june use year, we'll get 25 '11 points as well as 25 points in june 2012. Does any one know if this is true?

My second question is since we´re still paying every month our DVC membership, can we add points without financing them, or we need to pay in full the membership for being able to add some points on?

as long as they have your UY in inventory - yes. they will let you add-on a new 25 pt contract and bank the 2011 pts (even though you will be past the banking window.)

for a 25 pt contract, you would have to pay in full. you cannot finance a contract smaller than 50 pts with DVC.

You get current Use Year points with your purchase when you buy directly from Disney, provided they are not sold out. If you purchase a June UY contract in April 2012, you will still be in your 2011 UY so your first set of points will be your April 2011 points.

For some time now, DVC has allowed members to bank those first points even if they are past their normal banking deadline.

As already stated, you cannot finance a 25-point add-on. You must purchase at least 50 points if you want Disney financing. You do not have to pay off your current contract in order to add on more points. You can continue to make monthly payments on that contract and pay in full for a 25-point add-on or finance an add-on of 50 points or more.
