A CM said WHAT???

I had a CM tell me it was OK to pool-hop at the resorts. I tried to correct her,and said that it was against the rules. She just said, not to worry, I wouldn't get caught.

BTW- I knew this was false, and did not even try.

I thought it would be neat to have a place to post some of the outrageous things CMs say.

When DH and I were on our Honeymoon, we were at EPCOT waiting to have our picture taken with Aurora, and a little kid had a Pal Mickey...the CM looks at us and says, "I hate those Pal Mickeys...they are so annoying!"

:earseek:

WHAT!?!?!?!?!? .....NEVER NEVER NEVER say anything bad about MICKEY! :earsboy:

I had the opposite happen - we were in the WS (I can't remember which country) and a CM told me how cute my Pal Mickey was - that she had never seen one of those before!!! I was in shock - but she was really young and could have been a new arrival foreign exchange college student and didn't know about various merchandise yet...

I have 2 adopted sons from Guatemala (very dark skinned, mayan appearance) and my husband and I are very very pale and caucasian.

we were at a kiosk outside the buzz ride and my son says, "hey mom look at this." and the cast member looks at me and says "those are YOUR kids?"

very put off by that...

Oh my word!!!! What did you say?!

>>> Our experience with a rude CM wasn't in WHAT he said -- it was that he said nothing at all.

We waited around at the Contemporary after dinner one evening to get a ride at the front of the monorail to surprise DD. We only had to wait a few minutes before there was an opening and the pilot (or whatever they're called) acted a little put out by our presence. We tried engaging him in conversation, but quickly stopped talking to him because he was so unresponsive. The whole experience was just awkward and uncomfortable. >>>

You must have had the same driver we did two years ago. He wouldn't even acknowledge our presence!

This thread is way to cool. I have to come back later and read more!

My worst experience had to be at a DTD shop. Dh & I were married at the Swan that week and our wonderful best man and his wife gave us the gold mickey head wedding bands. Mine was a bit big so we went to the store to exchange it for the smaller size.

As we approached the counter two newlyweds-adorned with bride/groom mickey ears- were walking away from the counter admiring their own wedding bands on their newly ringed fingers. I was smiling as I walked up to the two young ladies at the counter whose backs were now turned away from DH, our friends & I, and they were making fun of the newlywed couple that just walked away. "Can you believe those schmucks? Paying all of that money for those stupid wedding bands and wearing those ears? They look like idiots!"

I was mortified as DH cleared his throat and said," Can you help the wife of another Schmuck?" They were very apologetic and all but it really embarrassed our friends who put alot of thought into buying these for us and I felt horrible.

Anyway, we were walking near England at Epcot, and the girls noticed that Mary Poppins was in a shop. They were thrilled (Disney always seems to turn them into nine year old girls), and wanted to go meet Mary. As they walked up to her, Mary looked down at the little boy in front of her, pointed at my daughters, and said, "See? That's what happens to bad girls who don't listen to their nanny. They end up looking like that!"

I was furious, but my daughters both pulled me out of there laughing their heads off. To this day, they still crack up when they talk about the day they were "burned" by Mary Poppins.

:umbrella:

I'm disappointed to hear this! I thought Mary Poppins was hipper than that! :goodvibes

We were shopping for souvenirs in Epcot's World Showcase, and DD had purchased two little items, which she was carrying in small bags. DS decided to buy two heavy steins made of glass in Germany, so when purchasing those I told the CM I wanted those sent to package pickup at the front gate. I then asked if we could include my daughter's packages for pickup as well. He stated we could, as long as we had the receipts. Of course we did, but then he pulled one of the items from the bag and LOUDLY proclaimed "You do NOT have a receipt for this!" I mean he practically yelled it, like we were thieves or something. I then peeked into the bag and pulled out the receipt he missed. He very quietly and sheepishly remarked, "Oh, there it is."

I'd be more upset that your friend thought you had a big head! :jumping2:
