~~ A Celebration of Life-long friendship ~~ Sew Sweet 16 ~~ Now N' Thens 3/11

Finally joining in! You write so well, I always have enjoyed your trip reports but I always lurked. I adore your bags and I would have done the same seeing something I made that someone was using. They are amazing!

Glad you guys are having a great time with BMT. He is ADORABLE!!!!! I think my favorite picture is of Allie, V, and Thomas holding hands. So sweet!!!!

So sorry I've been gone but we're still getting into the swing of things with school (just finished the 2nd week of school!!!) And JAMES IS FINALLY POTTY TRAINED!!!!! I can't believe I'm down to one in diapers!!! Plus James is starting Pre K on Wednesday and I don't know who is more excited..... Me or him!!! :rotfl:

You've been busy and successful. :thumbsup2

I love the pictures of Josh with Thomas that you posted here and on FB.

It was so much fun stalking Mo today and it all worked out great for her.

Bahahahah! Yes that info would have been useful 20 SB ago, hub? lol! I sadly knew that bc I always order my daughter a kids vanilla steamer and the cup is so tiny and cute!!!

Squeeeeee!! Starting your next order!!! you make me happy!

Hahaha... Well, I will now be ordering child sizes. LOL

Yes, I did get it started...

Whoo Hoo!! Can't wait to see the order you finished yesterday.

I will be posting pictures sometime this weekend - I hope... I still need to figure out which bag my camera is in from the trip. :thumbsup2

Thank you I don't know what to say

I'm glad you loved the pictures and let me share them with you and everyone else here

Sounds like everyone had a nice day yesterday. It's nice to take it slow sometimes with family.

Always happy when you share your trips here! We did have a very nice day!

I am stalking Mo today too! So exciting!

Lillian, your pictures are wonderful! How great it is that you really take advantage of the opportunity that you have to travel to so many beautiful places from where you live.

Looking forward to seeing your custom bags when you are able to share pictures.

It's great that Thomas has warmed up so quickly to you all. I am loving all the pictures of him with you guys here and on Facebook. Very smart to let him have a night in his own environment, most kids do better when we make an effort to stick to their routines and schedules a little bit.

My plans for today are working (it's my last Friday at this job) and then going to bed as early as possible tonight. I am wiped out from this week and we are getting up early tomorrow to head down to Epcot for the day to celebrate my birthday. I definitely need my beauty rest

Hope you have a fantastic day and a great weekend!

Yes - I am so happy that Thomas likes us... I got a huge smile from him yesterday when he saw me. :lovestruc

I hope you were able to get everything done that you needed to yesterday.

Finally joining in! You write so well, I always have enjoyed your trip reports but I always lurked. I adore your bags and I would have done the same seeing something I made that someone was using. They are amazing!

Welcome! Thanks you! I am so happy to have you here and de-lurked. :wizard: Yes - it was the coolest thing to bump into one of my bags!

THanks Sandra! I am starting to have "super baby fever" these days. Thank God my neighbor has a teeny-tiny baby, and she allows me to come over and hold her any time I want to. LOL

Congrats on getting everything organized for BTS... And Yay for James!!! How awesome!

You've been busy and successful.

Thanks Kathy! Your trip is coming so quickly! It will be wonderful!

I am LOVING the Mo stalking taking place! It's so FUN to watch!

So, yesterday didn't quite go as planned... :confused3

I worked out... Good girl.

I had a breakfast of 2 soft-boiled eggs...

Then I went to work... I have my next bag all cut out and ready to be quilted... As a matter of fact - I started quilting it. But just as I started... Myrthe texted me...

She was leaving an hour earlier than I'd roughly planned for lunch... So, I had to drop what I was doing and rush out the door...

I was meeting her and Thomas for lunch at Chevy's (you all may remember Chevy's from our first Epic Dismeet?)... Love Chevy's!

Well, lunch turned into a family afair - which was perfectly fine - as long as I get to spend time with everyone - I am happy... So, Myrthe's mom (Machteld) joined us, so did Brian and then Josh and Brian's mom (Chris)... I felt badly that Josh was working right across the highway... So, I called him to invite him, but he just couldn't get out of work to meet us. Bummer. So, we all had a nice lunch...

On my way home, I stopped at Target to see if there were any Twins shirts for all of us... As we are all going to the Twins game on Sunday. I did get lucky with several - on clearance too!

As soon as I got home, I changed into my gym shoes, and I went out for a walk with my neighbor... It was just a nice leisurely stroll. :thumbsup2

Gus and Alli went out for coffee...

And the rest of us hung out all evening. It was a nice day.

Today will be busy.

Alli works from 10-2...

So, I am bringing her to town.

I will resume working on my current bag while she is working.

We will pick her up at 2 and go straight to Brian and Myrthe's for their Open House... Lots of family and friends will be coming and going all day - and we will be there to help keep food and such flowing.

It should be a fun day! I am really looking forward to it! :wizard:

I hope to do another TR update in the next day or two... We are literally in the very last stages of editing our Photopass pictures, and I'd really like to insert them as I am writing.

I hope all of you have a wonderful day and a wonderful weekend! :grouphug:

Are Brian and Myrthe moving back to live near you? I think I might have missed a part of the story. :confused3

Have fun at the Twins game! I hope it will be exciting. Is Thomas going to the game, too?

Sound the trumpets I have arrived Lol How exciting!!! One of these days i'm going to own one of your awesome bags too!

I'm so excited to follow this TR! I'm planning a trip at the same time next year, also at POFQ, and I also started eating "primal" in May and have lost 20 lbs! I am really looking forward to not hating the photos of myself on our next trip and not being in pain at the end of every day.

Congratulations on your weight loss - you look great!

Caught UP!

It seems you were having a grand first day at Disney and you are having a grand time with the nephew!

Work is interesting at the moment at work. We're closed for cleaning and maintenance and part of that maintenance is carpeting the lobby and my office, which is directly off the lobby. I feel ungrounded.

And I've been sewing. Yeah!!!

It's always fun following along with you.

Sounds like a busy but fun weekend! Yay for twins game! Fun times!

Loving all the photos of that little cutie your spending so much time with! <3

Squeeeee for almost being done with your PP pics!!!!!!!!!

I hope it's okay if I join in here. A girls only trip sounds like so much fun! That is so neat that you ran into someone carrying your bag!

We ae just back from our day trip to Epcot! Charlotte and I had our picture taken with Donald in Mexico - I had to jump in the picture because Charlotte didn't want to get anywhere near Donald on her own! We had a really fun day!

There is, or used to be, a Chevy's near Downtown Disney. We used to love to stop there before coming home but the last couple times we went, we didn't enjoy it, so we have taken it out of the rotation. I do miss having a Chevy's close to home.

Hope you had a great day today!

A couple friends say the same thing about Baby Jeffrey. They all love to hold him and I'm more than happy to hand him off!!

I'm just glad it's all done and everyone is glad to be back!!

Yeah for more family time!! Enjoy it all!

Sorry... I can see where how I worded that would be confusing. Myrthe's parents have an apartment here in the Metro - her Dad works for a big corporation and he has an office here in MN and one in The Netherlands, so they keep a home in both locations. I referred to their apt as B&M's, only because they are staying there. :thumbsup2 The "open house" portion of that statement was because they were having an open house type party yesterday... They rented the community room in the building, and set up camp... Then all of the extended family and their friends were able to drop in all day long and see them... MUCH easier than them trying to go out and visit everyone. It was so much fun -and worked out really well!

Yes... Thomas (and the rest of the family) will be at the game today... Josh's Dad, Step-mom, Myrthe's parents, Josh, the girls and I, BMT... It should be lots of fun! There's a reason we are going to the game... I'll explain below though. :thumbsup2

Sound the trumpets I have arrived Lol How exciting!!! One of these days i'm going to own one of your awesome bags too!

Hi Cheeky!!! I am so happy to have you here and following along! There is no such thing as "being late" for one of my TRs. :thumbsup2 Welcome!

This is awesome! Welcome! I am so happy you've decided to follow along!

Congrats on your weight loss and your new healthy self!!! That is just awesome! I love eating Primally - it has changed my life so much. This trip was so awesome for that reason - I love almost all of the photos taken of me, and I love when I am editing Photopass - I am not looking to strategically "hide" myself behind all of the borders and stickers... Instead I am trying to keep myself visible. A total turn around from the last 2 trips! It was truly amazing, both how I looked and how I felt - even my stamina was amazing! By this time next year, you will be rockin' your own trip!!! Are you doing a PTR? I would love to follow along!

Caught UP!

Hi Ruth! Yes, we had a great time both days!

I hope things are back to normal at work soon... I bet it will feel nice to have all new carpet there though!

Happy sewing! Whatcha been making?

Sounds like a busy but fun weekend! Yay for twins game! Fun times!

Squeeeee for almost being done with your PP pics!!!!!!!!!

Very excited for the Twins game today! It will be a blast, I am sure of it!

Yes, we are falling more and more in love with the little guy every day! It's gonna be SO HARD to let him go next week.

I am hoping to finish them this morning... I've been delaying my next upate, because I could really use them...

I hope it's okay if I join in here. A girls only trip sounds like so much fun! That is so neat that you ran into someone carrying your bag!

Of course it's OK - the more the merrier! WELCOME!

It is so much fun - I wouldn't trade these girls trips for the world... SO MANY awesome memories for all of us!

Yah - it was super cool to run into someone with my bags... Certainly put me on cloud 9!

Sounds like you had a great Epcot day! We had a great time with Donald in Mexico this last trip... You'll see when I do that update though... :rolleyes1

Love Chevy's... I didn't realize they were a national chain... That's cool! They do have good food, I've never left there unsatisfied - and with a few minor modifications, I am able to eat there - so I always like that. :thumbsup2

Thanks - you too! :D

Hehehe... Well, if I lived closer to you, I would be one of those people too. LOL

Yah - me too... It's been a crazy first week!

**********************************************************

I had a great day yesterday...

I took Alli to work - there was a little bit of a mess with her schedule yesterday, but we were able to iron it out. Phew!

While I was there - I exchanged sizes for the Twins shirts I had purchased the other day. I was happy to have them all sized correctly now.

Then I came home and finished quilting my next custom order.

I changed and we were out the door to pick Alli up from work and head to BMT's...

Sadly - we took TONS of photos yesterday, but not one of them was on my camera. OK, OK - there was one... but only one... Josh and Brian playing pool - and it's hard to see...

20140906_150731.jpg

We did a bunch of nice family photos - but they are all on Myrthe's camera. Hopefully I can get her to post and share those. :wizard:

It was a great day... It was fun to see so many family and friends.

As the days go on, I am getting closer and closer to Myrthe... She is such a great person - I wish we lived closer. I love her family - they are so nice and genuine.

It's going to be very hard to watch them leave this time. Our next planned visit won't be until the summer of 2016... and it will be us going over there. popcorn:: We've vowed to be much better about Skyping.

Today will be lots of fun! We are headed to the Twins game. This was initially our gift to BMT for their birthdays this year... but then we had a few add ons (Josh's Dad/Step Mom, Myrthe's parents) - which is totally OK... We are now a group of 12. :woohoo: Aside from the birthdays - the other reason we are headed to a Twins game is that the stadium is an important one to our family... Josh and Brian's grandfather created one of the Twins logos, and it has a prominant placement in the new stadium... So, I wanted a family picture of all of us under it. :thumbsup2

Twins20shaking20hands.jpg

Then the newspaper article about Josh's grandfather and the logo - if you are interested in reading...

http://www.startribune.com/sports/twins/targetfield/91704699.html

So, this is an imprtant game for us... An opportunity for Thomas to have his photo taken under his Great-Grandfather's logo... :wizard:

It promises to be a fun day!

I hope all of you have a wonderful day today... Prayers and Pixie Dust to all of you! :grouphug:

How cool and AMAZING!

Loved reading the article! Your girls are both destined to be more than just talented but great! They have the artistic talent on both sides of the family!

I found this "before" photo on my computer this morning... I put it next to one of my pictures from our current trip, and I am shocked at the difference!

A reminder - this covers a span of 2.5 years... Hard work and dedication... No starvation and heavy weight lifting (very limited cardio)... It's amazing that a diet of non-processed foods and weights will transform a body so greatly in shape and size! Even I am shocked!

Just caught up on your trip report. The airport run in must have been so exciting! I love seeing all of your bags online and I even found myself searching around waiting in lines and such for your bags :)

Sounds like you had a nice weekend. The transformation from 2012 is huge. You've done a great job.

On Friday my friend and I decided that we wanted to drive 251 miles to visit one of his sisters and of course geocache on the way from Saturday to Sunday. On the way to his sister in Northern Sweden we found 1 geocache in 3 different countries (Norway, Sweden and Finland) Today we took some caches on the way home and drove a different way home so it was 302 miles to drive home.

When we came to his sister we had Surströmming (Swedish for "soured herring"). My friend and his sister loves it. I don't (it is fermented Baltic sea herring and is a staple of traditional northern Swedish cuisine since at least the 16th century) I ate a little just to please my friend and then I had a beef.
