~~ A Celebration of Life-long friendship ~~ Sew Sweet 16 ~~ Now N' Thens 3/11

Wow what an amazing transformation!!! You should be very proud of yourself and I imagine you feel incredible.

The before and after photo is amazing! I'm so proud of you! You are a true inspiration!

How cool about the Twins logo!! That's so awesome! Your pics are adorable you've been posting from the game. :-)

Hi D,

I just finished a few of your other TR's last week and now am excited to start this one. Fellow MN dis member here! Your weight loss is inspiring but your positive personality shines through either way!

Looking forward to more posts!

We are checking into POFQ for a girls trip in about 65 days!

So happy to hear you had a good time on your trip.

It’s nice that you've gotten to spend time with BMT. It’s too bad they live so far away but how cool that you are going to get to go there to visit them!

WOW! What a difference between your “then & now” photo! You look so healthy and AWESOME!

A little update: I just got back from being with DD. She had surgery to remove the cancer. The pathology report came back that they got all of it removed. Just to be safe, they implanted “seeds” that give a constant low-dose of radiation. These “seeds” have must less side effects than traditional radiation. This was originally developed for prostate cancer but now they've branched out into other forms of cancer. They will remove these “seeds” in about 4 months. Thank you to everyone who had her in your thoughts.

When I got home from being with DD, my DH had a little package gift wrapped for me sitting on my bed. I opened it, and I found some paper that he had drawn himself that looked like tickets to Disney World. I was confused to say the least because DH lost his job in February and there is no way we could afford to go on a trip without him having a job. Then it dawned on me – he got a job AND we are going to WDW! :cool1: WOO HOO!!! I am SO excited! We are leaving in one month so I am going to be super busy making our matching outfits, headpieces, purses and jewelry.

Looking forward to hearing all about your trip! I'm glad to be following along.

I'm so glad you daughter is doing well and the surgery was a success. I've been wondering about her and about how you were holding up. And what a fantastic surprise from hubby!! A month! Wow, not long to wait! Enjoy the planning and creating.

Your family visits sound really fun. I'm so glad you have this chance to really get to know Thomas and his mommy! Good for you for getting your work outs in!

I don't know if you read about my latest venture on my ptr or not, but it has been keeping me busy. I manage FB more frequently than the DIS. But I really do enjoy getting caught up when I get the chance. I haven't been to bed yet and it's 3:30 AM right now, so i guess this is as good a time as any.

Love all the pics of your family fun and can't wait to read all about your trip once you get your photos the way you want them. Unfortunately, I will be getting behind again when we leave for our trip in two days. I don't get online while I'm in Disney. I may post a few pics on FB, but I'm not very good at that. Meanwhile, I hope you continue to have a fun time with your family and get lots done in your sewing room.

How cool and AMAZING!

Loved reading the article! Your girls are both destined to be more than just talented but great! They have the artistic talent on both sides of the family!

Nini

Yes, it's pretty cool. Josh's grandfather was a very talented man.

Wow D! What an inspiration! You are beautiful and look so healthy!

Thank you Ann! I just keep plugging along, I figure that someday I will get where I want to be... I am getting closer, but I still have a lot of work to get done. :thumbsup2

Just caught up on your trip report. The airport run in must have been so exciting! I love seeing all of your bags online and I even found myself searching around waiting in lines and such for your bags

Sent from my iPhone using DISBoards

It was so exciting! Like nothing I've ever experienced before! It's so amazing to see people love what you make and use it. Surprisingly, I don't really look for my stuff - I should, but I don't. Did you see any?

What an amazing transformation.

Thank you! It's been a wonderful journey so far. It's kind of weird to think I've been doing this for 2.5 years, it doesn't seem that long. LOL

You look great and you did it without starving yourself.

Yes! I think that is key... I see so many people looking for the quick fix (my included, when I first started) - but it didn't take me long to realize I didn't want the quick fix this time - I wanted it to be real and sustaining. Which is why I work so hard every day, making a point to only do and eat what I love. :thumbsup2

Sounds like you had a nice weekend. The transformation from 2012 is huge. You've done a great job.

On Friday my friend and I decided that we wanted to drive 251 miles to visit one of his sisters and of course geocache on the way from Saturday to Sunday. On the way to his sister in Northern Sweden we found 1 geocache in 3 different countries (Norway, Sweden and Finland) Today we took some caches on the way home and drove a different way home so it was 302 miles to drive home.

When we came to his sister we had Surströmming (Swedish for "soured herring"). My friend and his sister loves it. I don't (it is fermented Baltic sea herring and is a staple of traditional northern Swedish cuisine since at least the 16th century) I ate a little just to please my friend and then I had a beef.

WOW!!! Sounds like you had afun weekend! I would not be able to eat the soured herring... YIKES!!! I really don't like fish all that much - except for salmon... I would have eaten the beef too. LOL

Wow what an amazing transformation!!! You should be very proud of yourself and I imagine you feel incredible.

Thank you! I still consider myself a work in progress... I'd like to change my body composition a little more and go down a couple more sizes... I'd really love to be at my goal size by next summer - but as long as I am going the right direction, it doesn't matter how long it takes me. I do feel great... I feel younger than I have ever felt in my life - even when I was young. LOL

The before and after photo is amazing! I'm so proud of you! You are a true inspiration!

Thanks! I just keep plugging along... Still a ways to go - but I am happy with the progress so far... Especially when I find pictures like that. Victoria and Allison were both SHOCKED that photo was me... They don't ever remember me looking like that.

Yes, it is cool - Josh's grandfather was a talented man!

OOOH - I love girls trips! YOu will have a blast - and FQ is just the BEST! You must have Santos make your beignets! :thumbsup2

I am so happy and so relieved to see your post this morning - I've been so worried about your dd, praying for her and wondering how she is doing. What a relief to hear that the surgery went well!

I am also VERY excited that you have a trip coming up - you and your DH deserve it!!! How wonderful! And congrats to DH and his new job!!! :woohoo:

I am just so happy and relieved to read your entire post - thank you so much for stopping by to update us... I know that many of us had you and your family in our prayers these last few weeks. :grouphug:

Yes - we are so fortunate to have this time with all of them!

I did not... need to get over there and see what you've been up to. I still feel like I am slacking -as we have been going non-stop since we have been home from our trip. It will be nice when things settle down again!

Have fun on your trip!!! I am so very excited for all of you! :woohoo:

**********************************************************

We had a really fun day at the game yesterday! We had great seats with a great view of Minnie and Paul. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves... It was a bright sunny day with not a cloud in the sky. When we purchased the tickets, we tried to get seats in the shade, but that didn't work out too well for us... Sigh. But we still had fun. We left at the bottom of the 7th inning... We were losing badly 14-3. :scared:

A few pictures to share from yesterday...

And then, this last one makes me so MAD! That darn guy in the background stuck his tongue out on ALL of our pictures - every last copy... Seriously people, I understand your need to photobomb, but this was our ONLY chance to get this picture, and he toally wrecked all of them... I am so mad!

image5.jpg

Anyways... Afterwards, we went to Famous Dave's for dinner... It was very nice.

We came home and went straight to bed, we were all so tired!

Today, I work at Target - yes on a Monday... :confused3

Tomorrow, I will be back to work in my sewing room. :woohoo:

I hope you all have a wonderful day - prayers and good thoughts to all of you! :grouphug:

D~

Sorry that guy photobombed your picture, that stinks! Glad you had a good time at the game, though.

Hope your Target day went well. I am "working" from home today, on my next to the last day with the company. Peyton came down with strep throat yesterday so she wasn't cleared to go back to school today. I was afraid Charlotte was sick too so I took her to the doctor this morning. She doesn't have strep - but Peyton had an allergic reaction to the antibiotic prescribed to her yesterday so we had to switch her medication and then the pharmacy had to call to get clarification from the doctor. So rather than wait for an hour on the prescription we came home and had lunch and then went back out to pick up her medicine. Not much time for working between all of that.

Congrats on the amazing progress. I am ready to start my own journey now. I hate pictures of myself and my clothes are tight and I am over it. Starting the new job on Monday is going to give me the opportunity for a new routine with healthy choices built in!

You already know that I think you are doing a fantastic job...but I'll tell you again. So proud of what you ahve accomplished.

Looks like you had a great time at the game! Couldn't have asked for a lovelier day either.

Jerk photobomber!!!!

I just realized you started your TR! Wooohoo! Can't wait to hear all about it! :goodvibes

Looks like you guys had fun at the ball game!

That photobomber is so dumb! I hate that people think it's funny. :badpc: Let's see if we can fix it...

Ta-da! :wizard: Photobomber no more! It's amazing what you can do with Photoshop. You can just zap those jerks right out! ;)

Awwww Bu-bye Photobomber!!! :rotfl2::confused3:banana::laughing:

I did not! It literally crossed my mind once or twice in lines when I didn't have my kid with me which was not very much. It would prompt a quick glance around the queue. I bet if I had been more vigilant I would have had some sightings!

Thanks so much disneychic2. Hey, I wanted to read your PTR, but when I click on it, it says, "Not found".

I see you are leaving in 2 days. :cool1: Have a wonderful trip! Be safe!

First, I want to thank everyone on here who kept my DD in their thoughts and prayers. It warms my heart to know so many people care about her when you don’t even know her. That’s why I love this place – everyone is so wonderful.

Glad to know you had a fun day at the game. Sorry your team lost. :(

That guy was a big fat jerk for sticking his tongue out. Really??? How old are you??? Don’t you have anything better to do with your time than to ruin other people’s photos? D, I am really sorry. Royalprincess, great job on getting rid of the jerk! (Oh, how I wish you could Photoshop people in real life!) :rotfl2:

Yah - I was pretty upset with that photobomber... People can be so rude!

I sure hope both of the girls are feeling better now... It's such a bummer when they get sick - but on top of that, on your last few days with a company. Hopefully they are pretty undersanding.

Thank you... I wish you the best of luck - I know you can do it!

Hahaha... Thanks Kathy!!!

We did - it was a lovely day for sure!

I agree... I would have chuckled at one... but when I discovered that he was in all of them... Yah what a jerk!

WELCOME!!! And THANK YOU!!!! (yes, I did yell that!) :thumbsup2 I was going to try to sit down and accomplish that myself, but there's no way mine would look that good. So, thank you for doing that! You totally made my day!

Awwww Bu-bye Photobomber!!!

I am just happy that you checked in with an update... And it was a good update at that!

LOL - Yah it would be nice to photoshop people in real life... Thanks for the laugh!

**********************************************************

I wish I had something exciting to update you all with today... but I don't. LOL

It was a Target day yesterday, so nothing exciting happened.

Came home, made dinner, went to bed. :rolleyes1

But.... I will have a TR update for you all this morning... WHOOT! I've discovered that I can download Photopass pictures individually... :woohoo: So, I've been waiting all this time for nothing. Sorry about that.

Also, I will have bag photos for you all today, as well. I managed to find out which bag my camera was packed in...

I am excited to get this TR moving along! :wizard:

I hope all of you have an amazing day! Prayers and good thoughts to all of you! :grouphug:

We decided not to wait any longer for our luggage to arrive... We had looked around the resort, eaten lunch... We'd done everything we'd wanted to do - and it was time to be on our way!

(Gonna try inserting a video here - I hope it works...)

We were on a bus to MK at 2:30pm...

IMG_1749.jpg

When we stepped off the bus, I noted to myself that it was much hotter in MK than it was at FQ... Sigh... Gotta love August in Florida...

We stopped for our first Photopass picture...

PhotoPass_Visiting_Magic_Kingdom_7046865881.jpg

And proceeded through bag check and into MK for our first glimpse of the Castle...

We decided to walk up the right side of Main Street... As if you noted the above time - we arrived just as the 3pm parade was coming down Main Street... We stopped in the jewelry store... I wanted to scope out their Alex and Ani bracelets - I had set aside a bit of my souvenier $$ for a few of these.... Yah - I made my first purchase there and then... The Donald Duck AnA and the Disney "D" AnA bracelets.... :rolleyes1

Alli purchased a pair of sunglasses, this amazing CM was awesome!

IMG_1758-1.jpg

(Alli will KILL me if she knew I was posting thee videos here...but they are so cute!)

http://vidmg.photobucket.com/albums/v416/dmgeurts/2014 Trip Report/DSC_0012.mp4

Olivia and Victoria were making a purchase in the jewelry store too... So, we had to wait around for them... While waiting, we all took a few pictures of the parade...

(I am pretty sure these parade photos are posted out of order... Sorry)

Ack!!! I found one more video... Sorry for the late addition.

After our little jaunt up Main Street... We decided to go on our first ride of the trip... PoTC!

Or not... The wait was too long, and we'd risk missing our FPs.

So, we decided to get out of line and head towards our first FP of the trip... Any guesses?

Please let me know if you can't see the above video, and I will try to relink it. :)

Yeah for bag pictures today!

It looks like you had a wonderful time at the ball game!

Yesterday was Mom's birthday so I was finally able to reveal the surprise that we are staying at POFQ instead of POP. She obviously liked it because I got a text with lots of "!!!" at 5:30 am yesterday! 32 days to go till I get to enjoy POFQ for the first time!

ETA: Well I did it again, posted at the same time as you. :rotfl:

First of all, yes I can see the videos and they are adorable! But a few of the pictures are showing up sideways. :confused3

It sounds like you made great time from POFQ to MK if you got to see some of the parade! I can't wait to see that parade next month! Mom and I actually saw some of the rehearsals for the Maleficent float when we did the KTTK tour in February, so we are both excited to see the finished product.

I cannot wait to bring home the AnA Pluto bracelet! It's on the top of my list to purchase next month. I don't blame you for grabbing them right away!

Hmmmm, I'm going to say Splash Mountain was your first ride.

LOVE IT!!! You're FINALLY at MK!!!! SQUEEE!

Omg Alli! She could be like a tv host or something! How sweet is she, so much personality and such a beautiful smile!

How awesome that the nice CM gave you a discount!! What pixie dust already!

This is shaping up to be a wonderful start to your vacation, and my guess is that you are headed straight to SPLASH MOUNTAIN! Am I right? Am I right? Teehee, I know you won't tell me and I will have to wait and see! :rotfl:

What an idiot that photobomber. Glad you had a great day at the game.
What a great job RoyalPrinces did on the photo with the photobomber.

What a great start in MK :)
