Spice of life you have there!
What do you recommend for work out videos? No weight lifting- yet.
THanks...
Well, I started off with the Walk Away the Pounds DVDs by Leslie Sansone... Here's the link to the ones I like best on Ebay - I am sure you can find them cheaper there though, but I think Ebay is one of the only places to get them, because they are oop.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Walk-Away-T...?pt=US_DVD_HD_DVD_Blu_ray&hash=item2eda3079d8 Leslie has several different versions - but this set is my favorite... The 1 mile is my go-to on my "lazy days" still - I just keep adding heavier weights to make it challenging for me. But when I first started, I didn't use any weights at all.
Yeah!!!!! I loved meeting you and the girls and can't wait for you to come back down, just not in August. OMG that day was hot and sweaty. All of the girls and BFF were so sweet to a complete stranger!
I didn't know guys still bought flowers for girls, that was so sweet of Gus
Glad you had a great Thanksgiving. Your sweet potato casserole sounds fantastic. We had a very, very quiet Thanksgiving, Gerald went to work at 10, didn't get off till 7. Just made a ham and dressing.
Have I missed something? Does V still have Lotti? She hasn't made it into a trip report lately.
The cruise, I thought her pictures turned out great! Just call me a proud aunt, she has really become a beautiful young woman. We had a great time and I would love to be able to cruise again with my sister and niece. There is an 8 year gap between my sister and I and we are finally at a time were we really enjoy being together. There was drama, groom lost his wedding band at
Castaway Cay, Morgan was not happy, and they actually found it! I'm not used to traveling with a large group, especially ones that most are not Disney minded. It was fun though and we have lots of great memories!
Yah - that day was pretty nasty and gross... If I remember correctly - there was one more really super hot day, then it started to "cool off" for us... Cooling off being relative, of course. LOL
It was super fun meeting you! I was so happy to have had the chance!
Yes, I guess they do. LOL Part of it is that Gus delivers flowers for a flower shop as a side job occasionally (during their busy seasons/holidays) - so he has been working there a little bit lately. It was very sweet of him, no doubt.
It sounds like you had a nice Thanksgiving, even though Gerald had to work.
Yes, Lottie is still here... She doesn't come down too much anymore - she isn't very social.

She bit me once this summer - HARD - like chomped down on my finger and shook her head hard... It was very painful. Ever since then, I am a bit shy about holding her. She still comes down to watch movies with us, n' stuff - but we haven't taken pictures of her in ages. We need to do that more.
It's so hard traveling in big groups like that, especially if they aren't Disney lovers. I am glad you had a good trip though.
You know...I have had some of my worst CM experiences at the safari. CMs and guests.....not sure what it is about that ride, but they need to figure out how to bring the magic back there.
Awww...glad you got to ride with Cindy. How cool! You are a celebrity
That is sad... We usually don't have a problem on the Safari - but this was really mortifying.
Yes!!! It was so wonderful to ride with Cindy - even better that we have pictures to prove it.
Your life is about as thrilling as mine. I go to work and come home and that's about it. Yesterday I went over my mom's and did her shopping.
EE is one of my favorite rides. I will confess that the first time I rode it I had my eyes closed for part of it.
I had to laugh at that comment from that family. I often ride with strangers when I'm in the parks by myself. That's what happens at Disney, you ride with strangers.
Today's another thrilling day at work. One good thing is that since I work Thanksgiving and Black Friday I get an extra 25% off one total purchase. I'm taking the Ps4 I have in layaway out and buying it. It's my daughter and her husband's Christmas present.
Have a great day.
Liz
Hehehe... Well, I'd rather have a "thrilling" life than a "really thrilling" life.
I love EE, but I cannot look down when we are going backwards... If you look down, you can see bits of the track below you - and it's REALLY FAR DOWN... I am afraid of heights, so it scares the crap out of me. If I just look ahead as we are going backwards - it's fine.
I know - LOL - that's what I thought too. People can be so... >insert word of choice here< LOL
HOw awesome about your extra 25%, that is super cool! Great choice of items to buy with that! I'd be getting groceries too.
I Hope you had a great day, as well.
Just wanted to remind you about your make ahead mashed potato recipe.
I went to yoga again last night, I'm still really loving it but I'm starting to worry about the time committment. The studio is about a 20 minute drive from my house, classes are 1 hour and 15 minutes long so every time I take a class I am gone for 2 hours. I've been doing the Monday and Wednesday classes and trying to do either Saturday or Sunday or both depending on what we have going on over the weekend but I'm not sure I'm comfortable with the burden this is putting on DH. Maybe I can find a DVD I like and get some of my yoga in at home.
I think I forgot to mention, on Monday Peyton decided that she wants me to run her 5k with her (she is in an after school running program 2 days a week). I had debated about signing up for it at the beginning of the season - I think I'd like to be a runner but it never pans out for more than 3 weeks of the couch to 5K program - but I decided to let this be Peyton's thing, until she asked me to join her on Monday. Just one problem - her 5K is this Saturday. So I will be running that with her with zero prep and I am totally not a runner. I just hope I can keep up with her, I'd hate to be slowing her down. Wish me luck and please say a prayer Saturday morning.
Hope you have a great and very exciting day!
Awww crap... I forgot to post it.
Make Ahead Mashed Potatoes
10 large potatoes
1 C Sour Cream
1 Pkg (8 ox) Cream Cheese
6 TBSP Butter
2 TBSP Dried minced onion
½-1 Tsp Salt
Paprika
Boil potatoes, mash (must mash with potato masher mixer does NOT work), add sour cream, cream cheese + 4 Tbsp. butter, onion and salt, stir until smooth. Spread in greased 9x13 pan, melt remaining butter and drizzle over potatoes. Sprinkle paprika over potatoes. Refrigerate covered or bake covered at 350° for 40 min. If refrigerated, let stand at room temperature for 30 minutes before baking.
Yes, that is a HUGE time commitment. That is one thing I seriously consider when I am starting a new program... I know I've blogged about it before - but if anything I do is more than 30-45 minutes, I won't touch it. I am such a procrastinator, I will put anything off indefinitely if it takes too long for me to do - that's just the way I am. So, I know I wouldn't be able to do that. I hope you are able to find something that's closer and more convenient for you.
Oh my gosh! GOod luck to Peyton! But wow - that is very ambitious of you, as well. I know there is no way I could go out and run a 5k now - even though I am in the best shape of my life, I just wouldn't have the stamina. I am sure I could do a walk/run combo though. Good luck to both of you - go slow to prevent injury... And I think it would be OK for Peyton to run a little bit ahead of you, if necessary? I will be praying for a successful run for both of you! Good luck!

I had a great day yesterday... I am almost finished with both bags! Phew!
I also had a great heavy lifting work out... I did something I am very proud of, and have been working towards for almost 3 years... I finally did 3 sets of 8 reps of real, honest to God, push-ups on my TOES! I was super excited! To celebrate, I took a picture of my "guns" and posted it on Facebook... Pretty proud of these - lots of hard work!
I picked Alli up at school when she got off, and took her straight to her dermatologist appointment. It's her same Dr. she has always had, but she switched offices, and now she is 30 miles in the opposite direction - but we love her, so we had to follow her.

Sadly - she was running way behind yesterday, so she didn't even see us until 45 minutes after our appointment time - that was super annoying, but we were lucky we didn't have anywhere to be.
Afterwards, we headed home. We texted Josh to tell him we were hungry for Chinese... He texted back that he was having his tire repaired. Uh-oh.

He was supposed to pick V up at school yesterday... So, I tried to call him - no answer. I called V, Josh hadn't picked her up yet... So, I detoured and headed into town to get her... It was a mess... At the end of it all - I went about 40 miles out of my way and drove a "U" shape, I could have driven straight there from Alli's appointment. Oh well.
We grabbed Chipotle for dinner, it was delicious. I love that I can eat there now. I didn't know this, but most of their food comes from organic sources - how awesome is that? At least our local one is that way - they have it advertised.
Josh had just gotten home when we arrived, and he was unloading our tree... He happened to pick one up on the way home. We usually go cut our own, but the last few years - the tree farm where we cut them has been pretty sparse... We thought we'd give it a few years to "come back". So, Josh set up our tree last night... We'll probably decorate it tomorrow.
Today is my fun day... I get to go shopping with my aunt and cousin at the MOA - I am very excited!!! I can't wait to see them and spend the day with them! Not sure what I am shopping for... I hope to find something great for V.

And I could use a few more things for Josh too.
I hope you all have a wonderful day! Prayers and good thoughts go out to all of you!
