A work colleague of mine has booked to go to Orlando on a Virgin/Continental codeshare flight on 25 Oct.
Or so she thought.
When she rang up to arrange her seat allocation she found that she had been bumped off the flight onto a non direct flight tow hours earlier and via Newark!!
needless to say she was furious, Virgin said that htey had emailed her in June, but they had not. If she had not phoned but just turned up she would have missed her rescheduled flight by 2 hours!
However after some "frank" discussion on her part they have offered her and her husband first class on the "internal " legs, first in the queue for upgrades on the transatlantic legs, free access to first class lounges in all the airports and $200 each in Amex travellers cheques!
Still, a warning to us all to pre allocate those seats as soon as you can!
