I think now it's important, regardless of which side of the political aisle that you're on, that we pray that the conflict is swift, the casualties are small, the Iraqis embrace liberty & that we'll insure the safety of our allies & ourselves with this action.

Ok Jeff, did something just happen or are you anticipating since 8 pm has past and I assume Saddam is still in Baghdad?

I'm sitting in a classroom with internet access but not television. My students are working on a case so fill me in PLEASE!

Maybe I am a fool, but I am still hoping there won't be a conflict :)
I heard today on CNN that 17 or so Iraqi soldiers have surrendered.

Yes, many prayers lifted. A tough time for all right now.

I agree with you Jeff. I say my prayers every night and will continue to. When I see our soldiers on T.V. over there, I get a lump in my throat. I hope and pray there will be no bio or chemical warfare.

I do not think we can avoid conflict at this point. My thoughts and prayers to everyone serving our country over. Jeff, I couldn't have said it better. Those men and woman deserve our repsect, and our support.

I'm posting this because the deadline has passed & action is likely going to happen in short order.

Good idea Jeff, regardless of what happens.

Thanks Jeff. I agree with you that we're likely to see something soon. Had an email from BIL earlier (first in quite awhile) that things were beginning to move and they had orders to be ready. Don't know where they are headed once they go airborne though. Beginning of March they were headed to Turkey and have been sequestered elsewhere ever since. It appears they won't be landing in Turkey but suspect they'll be in the neighborhood.

The prayers for safety haven't ceased for some time.

There are several of these kinds of threads going.

:D :D :D

You can never pray enough, I say!

I've been praying about this for many months now. For all involved. All mankind.

Beautifully stated, Jeff, very eloquent and appropriate.

Thanks.

Well said, Jeff, I couldn't agree with you more. No matter what side you are on, our loved ones are still the ones in harms way and many are there because it is their job not necessarially because of their political beliefs.
