I read that at the Swan the a/c only comes on when you are moving around...at night when you are sleeping it goes off. IS IT STILL LIKE THIS? How is the a/c at the Dolphin?
I want to stay at the Swan but I do not think that I could deal with the a/c being off unless I am moving around. I like the a/c to run constantly...PLEASE ADVISE...

We had no problem with the Swan a/c during our July trip. It does have a motion sensor but at night the a/c was still operational. You can adjust the thermostat (digital) to whatever temp you wish it to be. DH hates to be hot and he had no problem sleeping at the Swan.

We had no problems with the A/C either. Well aside from the fact that it works really well and even when I put the temp. to 75 it was still 67 in the room :p We had it off most of the time because it was so beautiful outside. We kept the balcony door open sometimes.

We could not tell whether the a/c cut off at night. We were always quite comfortable. The only thing that bothered us was upon return to our room after being gone all day. The room would be "extremely stuffy". It seemed to take atleast an hour or so to exchange the air enough to make it comfortable again.

I have found it comfortable also. As tennismom said, it takes a little bit to fully cool down after a long day unoccupied, but overall, fine.

We stayed at the Dolphin in August when it was extremely warm and humid and had no problems at all.

As previously posted, it will seem a tad stuffy when you return from being out of your room for a while, but it cools right down in a matter minutes once you enter.

During the night we had no problem with keeping the room cool, and my DH likes it cold!

If you are lucky to get a room with a balcony, make sure you close the sliding glass doors tightly. When you open the sliders the AC shuts off automatically and it will not come back on until the doors are completely closed!
