Hi - Does anyone know if the Grand Villas at the BWV have CD players, Cassette Players, DVD players or VHS machines...Thanks for any info...Rich

Just got back from a stay at BWV GV - there is a stereo with a cd player and vhs tape player in the main room. It is just a beautiful and huge place to stay!!!!

Thanks for the info..We are heading there tomorrow morning and this will be my first time in a GV so we are all very excited...Rich

NJDVCmember I hope you won't mind sharing some more information about your GV stay.
I am wondering which GV you had and how the bedrooms were. Also curious if you used the sleeper sofa in the livingroom.
What type of furniture is on the balcony and was it clean.
Were birds a problem?

thanks

Crusader,
We always stay in the GV, but have only had the one floor. One day they'll give us the two floor, but we've been very happy with the one floor. The Bedrooms were great. You have the normal King bedroom and the extra bedrooms were like two other studios. Our kids love the pullout in the main room. It has the surround system around their bed. No complaints from our kids. The furniture on the balconies were your' basic plastic tables and chairs, could have been different, with the view, it was hard to remember. Yes, it was clean. Funny you should mention the birds. No, they were not a problem, but one morning we had about 20 or so people in the room before going to the parks. The balcony doors were open, and one walked into our room. He realized it wasn't his room, and left, no problem.

Has anyone stayed in both the one floor AND the two story grand villa, and if so, which did you prefer? Is the total square feet the same in each kind? Do you not know which one you're going to get until you arrive?

Hi Crusader,
The GV we had was #4037 with three bedrooms and a sleeper in the living room. The deck had lots of the plastic chairs and yes, don't eat on the deck....the birds will come and stay!!!
The unit was huge and beautiful. If you go have you will have a great time!

thanks everyone -

NJDVCmember did you have a one story or two story villa? Was there a continuous balcony?

Also, did you put in a specific room request and where were you - boardwalk side or facing courtyard?

thanks again

Crusader-
We had a one story GV. The deck was the whole face of the building on the boardwalk side. THe master had its own deck with a wall, then three french doors open to the deck of the main living area, then a wall and the deck for the other two bedrooms. It was huge. We made no request for room location other than the two studios we also had were near us.

NJDVCmember,

Your situation sounds very similar to mine. We have reserved a GV and 2 studios (one preferred/one standard) for our Oct stay.
I put in a request for a "continuous balcony" GV which I understand there is only one of (out of 7 total) and only requested the studios be as close as possible to the GV. Were you over the screen door or thimbles and threads on the 4th floor?

I am curious how you made out with the locations of the two studios per your request. Also, what time did you check-in and how was everything overall?

Also wondering if you were able to see Illuminations from your balcony?

thanks for all your help!

Crusader,

The two studios were on the same floor and down the hall between the elevators and our GV. They were also right next door to each other. Yes, we were on the fourth floor under the "the Broadwalk" sign. Tip of the red columns. Not sure what store was under us but right in front of us was the shooting the basketball, banging the frogs, and the shooting the water games. Hope that helps. We could only see the high fireworks from Epcot and also the ones from Magic Kingdom ..... I think.
