As I was packing up my stuff in my office DS called because he had to take DH to the hospital. DH thought he had a blood clot in his leg but it turned out to be cellulitis. And the third boot fell so to speak, when we found out today that we owe more on taxes that ever before.

I am thankful for what I've got but I am so ready for good news!!!!!

Yes you will live that is for sure.

And yes I got my lay off notice, the day I left for bereavement leave for the death of my mother.

I ended up getting a job before the time ran out, but I thought that they could have handled it better.

David got his lay off notice last year, and he too was able to get another job.

Both of us work in the Government sector, so all of this sequestration and continuing resolution effects us everyday. We could be laid off at any moment.

So sorry about all the bad news. This year has not been a good year for most people I know.

We agreed years ago to not give the government money to give back to us but each year since we both retired it just gets worse.

Oh no! Is DH okay? So sorry about all the bad news. This year has not been a good year for most people I know.

DH is okay with a probable case of cellulitis covering most of one side of his calf; at least it's not a blood clot. Antibiotics should do the trick.

You are so right about the past months! I have a friend who has been almost mirroring my problems with her DH for a year.....
