A big thank you to everyone here for their support and info for our trip. We arrived home yesterday.
We ordered DD9 a 16" wheelchair from Walker Mobility. It was waiting for us on arrival.
DD used in on and off depending on her knee and how it was feeling. Often she did little stints of walking and then back in the chair. This helped prevent her muscles from tightening.
The staff were wonderful in helping us get around, taking the chair up to the ride, etc.
As DD could transfer we helped her up the step if any on buses then folded the wheelchair. Someone stood for DD each time without prompting when got on with standing room only. Sometimes the driver sent us to the back door when boarding other times to the front.
Again, thank you to everyone here, we couldn't of done it without you.
