We just returned on the 27th from our first experience renting a villa. I was wary as the owner was from the UK and we had never seen the home first hand. I was sure it wouldn't be clean as the owners are far away and how would they know. I am pleased to say that it was FABULOUS. Working with the owner went well. Minor problems were addressed right away. The villa was immaculate. We had a "conservation" view and it made the trip. It was so nice not to look on to someone else's back yard. The street was so quiet. It was all that was promised and then some. We saved so much money by buying our groceries for the week and cooking or packing at least 2 meals a day. I hardly brought any clothes and simply had the washer do the work while we were at the parks. Though I am sure that Disney property has wonderful advantages, for the price I would rent a home just of property again and again. We shared with another family so we split the price of the rental in half. It was 15 minutes from door to tram. I couldn't be beat. It was worth the extra money, in my opinion, to be close to the parks. We did go home midday 3 times to swim/nap/eat, to easily return in the evening. It made a big difference in our fatigue level. I thought I had made the wrong decision going to Windsor Palms instead of Windsor Hills when I saw the WH clubhouse and pool slide. Honestly, we never went to the clubhouse pool. It was simply too convenient to swim right at the house. I'd go back to windsor palms again. I don't think the 3 nine year olds missed the slide. I hope that if you are going you'll consider a pool home rental. My family and I loved it. I'm already thinking about our return 4 years from now
