A BBQ party for Blueberry! Come on in!!

We are going to have a BBQ party for Blueberry like she deserves!!!

I'm glad you all have come inside! (of course you are welcomed inside!!) I've already got the grills going with Steaks (plenty of them), chicken, marinated Keilbasa, hamburg and hot dogs & fresh Maine lobster! There will be PLENTY for EVERYONE!!

So what have you brought? We'll be sure to share it with everyone!! Let's make this a wonderful party that she won't forget!!

Oh, what fun! I'll bring a HUGE Taco Salad and Pickled Eggs - aka Red Beet Eggs.

I'd bring my pasta salad, but I'm intimidated by Blueberry's prowess in that area.

Hmmm, I'll bring the potato salad since Miss Blueberry has a specialty pasta dish already ....






This all reminds me of the time my girlfriend invited me for dinner - I was in high school at the time, and she invited me to her house w/her family.

When I got there, she told me we were having enchiladas, and since my mom made them so well, I must make them well, too. Before I knew it, I was cooking the dinner and my friend, her family, and a couple of other friends were all at the table visiting with each other.

I amused myself (well, maybe amuse isn't the right words here)... well, I made the dinner while I thought to myself, "oh yeah, invite the Mexican friend to cook the dinner while everyone else just sits back.

At least they let me sit at the table with them after dinner was prepared, and they did tell me it was good.

Well, I hate to make you all stay inside, but I'd really prefer my guests to be comfortable and since it's only 23 degrees outside today, I think you'd rather be crammed inside than freezing outside but what the heck.... if someone wants to eat outside.... so be it!! Inside... outside.... it's your choice.

I am going to bring a cooler full of ice cold corona, and some sliced limes. I'll also bring a big tray of my new favorite recipe low-fat 7 layer dip for the Gold tortillas.

Sounds like a nice bar-b-q!!!! I know Marie's well known specialty, and oft requested bring-a-long, is her famous antipasto platter, and her mom always brings homemade Italian cookies.

I'd like to bring my mom's homemade Grapenut ice cream....yummy!! Although maybe I should bring hot chocolate since it's so cold out!

Well, I would have brought fruit salad but I see that Serena already decided to put one together.

Let's see. I'll make a rainbow layered jello mold (very good, for jello, that is) and an eclair cake.

Sounds like a great idea and a well deserved BBQ for Blueberry!

I will bring my special brownies that everyone always begs me to make. It's a secret recipe, so don't ask me for it!

I'll bring some garlic & herbed olive oil marinated freshly sliced zucchini, yellow squash & eggplant & pop them on the grill as well. It makes such a yummy side dish.

How about some cannoli's too to top off the wonderful meal we will all get to share INSIDE!

I think we should also invite Blueberry's "friend" so that she can sit OUTSIDE & we can feed her the skin off the chicken & the fat off the steaks! Oops.....was that nasty of me?

Well, I'm known for my desserts. Everything from decorated cakes to fancy pastries.

Let's see .... how about a big tray of assorted pastries. Key lime squares, apple crumb bars, baklava, mocha bars, mini cheesecakes and chocolate tarts.

Oooh, these dishes all sound so good! I'll bring a Reese's Peanut Butter Cheesecake and stuffed mushrooms (one of my specialties). How about some strawberry daquiris too to round out the beverage choices ?
