A Baptism, MNSSHP, & FD...sweating our way through 6 days at POP!! Completed!

Great updates!! Glad the baptism went well. Love the family pics! Raglan Rd. sounds yummy, and Mel's drink looks sooooo good!

Looking forward to the next update!

Reglan Rd looked yummy-to bad you guys were full. Gotta get ur shop on I say.
I started my ptr-check it out-link in my siggy

Alright, I'm all caught up!!

Funny, I thought Pop was much more manageable than Coronado as far as size! I guess it all depends on the person!

Oh I always feel like the class dunce as i'm always last when it comes to your TR's :lmao: But i'm so glad I found this today, seeing photos of your lovely blessed family having fun at WDW is a nice way to end the day (its waaaaaaay past my bedtime, its past midnight here in England). :goodvibes

Firstly I wanted to say I totally sympathise with you re leaving the tickets behind. I did much much worse on our first trip to WDW, I transferred everything from my wallet to my shoulder bag before leaving the house for the airport...when we got to MCO I realised that I had left EVERY SINGLE CREDIT CARD at home...so we couldn't even pick up our rental car. Had to rent one with cash which cost about 3 times as much and had to have my sister wire us money from England  Am glad it worked out well though.

Thanks for sharing the baptism photos, there is something so special about seeing a child get their first Sacrament :cloud9:

I hope Julianna's cough gets better and that her paediatrician was right.

Am so glad to see you all on here again, looking forward to more although now i'm off to bed, night night!!!

The picture with Julianna and Cinderella is just so precious - the innocent, the love just shines thru her hug - it makes you want to tell Cinderella to HUG HER BACK!!

THE PI St Patrick's Day party sounds like fun!! Wonder if they'll stick with Guiness or have some green beer around? :rotfl2:
Every beer is green on St. Patty's day!!!!! LOL

I love that picture of her too. She loves Cinderella... her favorite!

Oooh nice! FREE?! :yay:
I'm sure it is free to get in... but you know Disney the 'frees' are few! LOL

Thanks Julia!! Hopefully I'll have another installment tomorrow sometime.:)

You were in the 80's though right? We were in the 70's, further from the parking lot and further from the bus stop too. I'm sure it depends where you are located as well.

Thanks for joining!!!!:yay:

Oh my! That is terrible. It is tough be be on vacation without a C.C. Especially if you have no cash on you either!!! There is a feeling that is hard to explain when you realize what you've done. I'm shocked my DW didn't kill me.. she was actually nice about it! LOL I guess she has a pass when she does something like this in the future!! LOLOL

Great updates!

The baptism pictures were just darling. What a cute baby!!!

I really like Raglan Road...I've never had what you and your wife got, but they sure looked good! Every time I go there, I always get the fish and chips...boring, I know, but it's just so good!

**I didn't mention in my last segment but we payed OOP for our Raglan Rd. dinner.**

After a better, but not great, night of sleep, our room phone starting ringing at 7:10. I picked up the receiver and put it right back down.... I wasn't going to let Stitch yell at me!!! It was time to wake up. We had an ADR at Kona Cafe at 8:15. We got ready and headed over to the bus stop. When I opened the door, the hot humid air hit me... it was going to be a HOT day. It was already in the mid 80's on its way to 92. When we got to the bus stop there was only a few people in line which had me thinking that the MK bus must of just came.

DSC06138.jpg

As we were in line waiting, the Epcot bus came 4 times, the DHS came 3 times... even the DTD bus came 3 times! The line behind us was growing and growing and I was getting impatient. When the bus finally came, we were packed in like sardines. It was already 8:20. So much for making our ADR on time. I don't think there was a time I wasn't standing on a bus.

I was getting excited. Not only was I going to eat at my favorite breakfast spot in Disney but we were going to the MK! We got off the bus and motored over to the monorail station. We were rushing and I didn't even take a picture of the castle.:sad2: We waited only a minute or so then the orange monorail arrived!!!

DSC06139.jpg

Juliana being a little cranky on her first 'ride' of the trip!

DSC06140.jpg

We got off at the Poly- time 8:54!!!!:scared1:

DSC06141.jpg

I want to stay at the Poly someday. I love this resort. It reminds me of our honeymoon- we went to Hawaii, which we both loved! I checked in at the desk and told the CM that we had an 8:15 ADR and we were late. She said no problem and gave me a buzzer, we would be seated shortly. Whew, what a relief!

DSC06142.jpg

Melody & Juliana went to look in the gift shop and I stayed with the stroller in front of the restaurant. I went to check the time on my cell phone and I noticed I had a voicemail. I looked at the number and it was a Florida number. I didn't know if Melody's cousin was trying to get a hold of us so I checked my message. Undercover Tourist (the place I bought our park tickets from) called me back and wanted me to call them. I called them back and spoke to a very nice woman and I explained what had happened. She said she had all my info and to call her back when I got to guest services with a fax number. She had copies of the back of my tickets and would fax that over. SCORE!!!!

Melody came back and my buzzer was going off. Time for breakfast! We were seated in less than 5 minutes.. just enough time for me to make the phone call. It was 9:05 when we were seated. Our waitress came over and we just started ordering, we knew what we wanted!!

Mel & Juliana being cute.

DSC06143.jpg

DSCN1367.jpg

Melody took Juliana to the bathroom and our food arrived! 9:14am WOO-HOO! Before I was able to take the food pics Juliana already took a bite out of her Mickey pancakes! LOL

DSC06144.jpg

Mel ordered the Tonga Toast. UMMMM

DSC06145.jpg

I ordered the Big Kahuna!

DSC06146.jpg

Of course our pressed pot!

DSC06147.jpg

I also ordered the Lilikoi Juice. This is the best $4 cup of juice ever!!! I ended up giving some eggs to Juliana and I got to eat some of Mel's Tonga Toast. I barely even touched my french toast. I was stuffed again! This was another meal we paid OOP for. We finished up eating and headed back towards the monorail. Time to get to MK.

YUM, Tonga Toast! We are eating at Kona for the first time this trip and so looking forward to it! Those pictures made me hungry! :goodvibes

We hopped back on the monorail back towards MK. We got our bags checked and I headed over to guest services. The line was pretty long but was moving quickly. I got up to the window and quickly explained what was going on. I got the fax number and called UT. They send the fax over. The CM and I were waiting for it to arrive. The cover letter came but no second page. We were waiting & waiting. I called UT again and asked them to send the second page over. While I was on the phone I saw the CM go over to the fax machine. The second page was stuck inside the fax and it was crumpled and not legible. A moment later my fax was coming through!!!! Our tickets were reissued and we were ready to go!!

(Even though my mom sent us the tickets and were arriving that day, I didn't want to use my 1 day ticket. The plan was to upgrade my 8 day pass to an AP. If I use my 1 day pass, I would then have to use my 8 day once before I upgrade to the AP to get the full value of the ticket .. I hope this makes sense to you!)

We finally got into MK and we were waiting for Melody's cousin and family. They were going to meet us in front of the barber shop. We got in line to get Juliana's hair cut. Her bangs were long plus getting your haircut in MK.. pretty cool! LOL While we were waiting Chip & Dale came out. We never got their autograph before. So we had to get it!

I had to jump in a picture too!

DSC06153.jpg

After our pic the trolley was coming.

DSC06154.jpg

Still waiting for a haircut.

DSC06155.jpg

I was just about to go get FP's for something.. anything, then the family showed up. It was already 10:45. We started to walk down Main St. It was really busy. People were still streaming in.

Our first castle picture.

DSC06156.jpg

In front of Casey's. I thought this was funny!

DSC06157.jpg

Another castle pic.

DSC06158.jpg

Halloween decorations.

DSC06159.jpg

We walked to the left of the castle, towards Fantasyland.

DSC06160.jpg

We got passes for Peter Pan and headed over to Small World.

DSC06161.jpg

Small World was about a 5-10 minute wait.

DSC06162.jpg

We got on our boat and the kids were loving it... and I was watching them- loving it! LOL

DSC06163.jpg

DSC06165.jpg

I never get good pictures in here. My favorite part though.

DSC06175.jpg

After SM we went over to the carousel. Juliana loves this ride. I looked for Cinderella's horse but I didn't see it.

DSC06176.jpg

DSC06179.jpg

DSC06180.jpg

Juliana trying to pull the Sword from the stone! I think she needs to work out more!

DSC06181.jpg

It was hot over 90 already! We were downing water like it was our job. We were still waiting for our Peter Pan FP window to open up so we headed over to the teacups.......

He is cute.. and big too!!!

You don't hear too much about Raglan Rd. here on the DIS. That might be a good thing- a hidden gem- if you will. I liked my meal, but I was so full. I really wanted to try that bread pudding.

YUM, Tonga Toast! We are eating at Kona for the first time this trip and so looking forward to it! Those pictures made me hungry! :goodvibes
Tonga Toast is so good. It comes with a strawberry dipping sauce too. It is like having dessert for breakfast! I wish I could eat some right now! :rotfl:

Aw, what a cute pic in the bus line. Ugh, I hate waiting for a bus and it seems like 5 million buses come for where you're NOT going. :headache:

Yay for a monorail ride! :yay:

Ooooh yum..Kona looks good. Tell me about the pressed pot..is it part of the meal? Can I order it if using the dining plan? Haha, so sorry so many questions!

Woo! The MK! That's so great you were able to get your tickets faxed over. Of course, it didn't happen without a little problem with the fax machine.

Aw, Chip and Dale! I don't know if I've ever mentioned this, but when I was little, I called them Chip and Dip.

Aw, I can't wait to watch my little guy's reactions on rides.

I just showed Mark the pictures of the Big Kahuna and he started drooling. I guess that means Kona has to be put on the list for our next visit. I love the pics of Juliana with Chip & Dale -- two of my favorites.

Great update. We had a day like that with the buses too. Yum, that bkfst looked yummy! I love Chip and Dale (Dip LOL) No haircut on that day?

It seems when your in a hurry the bus you need never comes.. in this case it didn't!! LOL

I've never ate here while using DDP credits. We have always paid OOP. The pressed pot is 100% Kona coffee... it is around $7. You can also order a Kona blend as well. It is much less.. about $3 for a pot (not pressed).

As you can see a theme in this trip report... nothing went to plan or was easy! ;)

I watch Juliana's reactions as much as I watch the rides. It is a great feeling! :lovestruc

There is a lot of food on that plate! I had some Tonga Toast so I didn't even want to eat my french toast. Plus NO Nescafe!!!! LOL

Chip & Dale were really good with Juliana... plus I was in another pic Kathy!!!

We had pretty good experiences with the busses... and a few not so good experiences as well.

We went back to the barber shop later in the day..... :rolleyes1

We walked over to the teacups. CW and the baby didn't go on but were watching us the whole time. All 5 of us packed into one teacup. I barely fit in the teacups when its just the three of us. LOL

Juliana and CS were spinning the cups and having a ball! We got off and we still had 15 minutes before we could ride Peter Pan so we stopped at Pooh's Playful Spot. Juliana and CS were just having fun playing with each other.

While the kids were playing the adults were sweating!!!! Luckily there were a few clouds moving in which helped, but once again there was not even a breeze. I ran over to Buzz to get FPs for everyone. When I got back it looked like I had just run a marathon! I was soked! After the kids blew off some steam we rode PP. It was about 12:30 by now and we were really hot. We thought this would be a good time to go have some lunch and cool off at Cosmic Rays. We got Juliana a PP&J. I was still full from breakfast so I didn't eat. I think Mel had something but I didn't get any pictures. With trying to get the kids settled and finding a table, I didn't think about it. Maybe it was the heat affecting my brain!

We finished up and headed over to Tomorrowland where we used our Buzz FPs.

DSC06196.jpg

Hey, I made another picture!

DSC06194.jpg

Here we are on the ride.

DSC06200.jpg

Melody and Juliana scored 33,500 while I scored 150,900. I think both our guns were broken or something..... I don't know. I do know that we both like Toy Story much better. We came out of Buzz and the ground was soaked! It poured while we were on Buzz. Luckily our strollers were under the overhang of the TTA. So they stayed dry. Speaking of the TTA, we had never rode this either... what better time than now!

Juliana's foot on the TTA. (It was the best I could do under the circumstances;))

DSC06212.jpg

After we got off the TTA, we went over to the Laugh Floor.

DSC06215.jpg

About 1/2 way through the show, the baby starting getting restless, so CW took him outside. We watched the rest of the show and headed outside. It was about 15 degrees cooler!!!! CW told us we missed a huge downpour with lots of wind! She was under the Laugh Floor overhang against the wall and was still getting wet! We went over to get our stroller and it was soaked too! It was 2:30 at this time and Melody's cousin and family were going to take off. It was getting hot again and the baby had enough. Plus they wanted to get out of there before the parade started. We said our goodbyes. Juliana and CS were sad that they were leaving.

DSC06217.jpg

I dried off our stroller as best as I could and we headed towards the hub to watch the parade.

Up next.. The parade and our dinner at CRT!

Ok, so I'm a slacker!! Yesterday was a no-go for DISing, so that leaves me, what 4 updates behind. I did get up to the Sword pic, but haven't gotten beyond that.

Barbershop is great fun! We did that too. But not cuts, just free sprinkles; why? because free is a very good price!! :lmao:

Kona looks heavenly. I may have to go there. Believe it or not, I'm tossing around the idea of upgrading to DxDDP. Just to get more 2 TS meals, of course. :rotfl2: But, it would also mean we could get an occ. breakfast.

Ok, going back now to catch up on the last 2 installments.

Hiya,

loving the updates.... haven't eaten at a resort, must try! Food looks lovely, and it looks like you all had a great time at MK.

Tessa

Well, now we know who the REAL slacker is!! :lmao: At least you weren't doing the crazy dancing that has been so adamantly forbidden. :rotfl2: I never could get that warning sign. NO dancing??
