We just returned from a magical time at WDW; stayed at Bay Lake Tower and found it to be wonderful.

There has been a lot of discussion here about strollers recently, and we have always used A Baby’s Best Friend for everything including strollers. In reading some of these discussions I did look at other companies just to see, and I found that ABBF is $20 less per week for the double stroller and $10 for the single stroller, and even greater savings if longer than a week rental.

We have always been VERY satisfied with ABBF; CLEAN, like new, a pleasure to work with. Now it got sweeter knowing their rates are so much lower than others. I guess the other companies have to pay for all the advertising somehow.

Just wanted to share our $$ savings with everyone. Every little bit adds up.
:woohoo:

We use ABBF all the time - have for years. Always pleased (and have often said it is the only part of the trip that went SMOOTH). I would swear the last double jogger we had was brand new, but then I noticed the rubber tires did not have that 'brand new' look.

Regardless, it was immaculately clean. Love the ease of the whole process.

LOVE LOVE LOVE ABBF!!!!!! Best thing to have access to when you travel to WDW with babies and tots!

We LOVE LOVE LOVE A Baby’s Best Friend! Ditto on all the above, and also want to add we love the one-stop shopping. They have everything.

We have used them for many years running and have ALWAYS been happy with everything.

:cheer2:

We have not been in over a year (new trip coming soon!!!!!!!!!), but the times we were there we used A Baby's Best Friend and WOW we were happy happy happy.

I had read great things about them, and my experience was everything everyone said it would be: prompt, clean, easy to work with. Love all the things and variety of things they offer.

HIGHLY recommended!

Fantastic service and supplies with ABBF - we use them each time for strollers, cribs, exersaucers, even a microwave and 12 cup-coffee maker for our room!

Best money we spend on our vacations. Everyone is happy and comfortable and I don't have to schlep all that stuff.

We LOVE A Baby's Best Friend!!!!!!!

I looked at them, I was so excited after reading this tread, but their double strollers are not very user friendly. So while they have a slightly less price, and they deliver other things too I think we are going to go with Orlando or Magic strollers because they have strollers that have adjustable sun shades which the ones from ABBF don't - I was so disapointed to see that. Also the ones with Orlando and Magic are easier to fold which is a must for us with twin toddlers.

I was really hoping that ABBF had the same type of at least ones with good sun coverage and ventilation.

Not really understanding this, or what 'not user friendly' means. We have used this stroller several times on trips and it has been wonderful: quick and easy one-hand fold, lightweight, large storage area with even a large pouch on the backside and a parent oragnizer/cupholder on the bars, easy to maneuver. . . not getting what is not user friendly about it. We loved it.

As far as the sunshade, it has a large canopy that also retracts and has a viewing window in the top with a cover. It was a HUGE sunshade.

We liked it so much we bought one for home.

The sunshade does not come down as far in the front - so as long as the sun is in the right place yes the sun shade would work. I guess I like the city mini's better  I was hoping that they used those so that I could just order everything from one place. And looking at it for the double jogger the price is the same.

What brand of stroller does ABBF use?
We purchased the InStep Safari TT model 265 when ABBF used those. Thay have since changed models to the latest upgrade; not sure what that model number is.

Not seeing what you are: OSR double is $85 for the week, ABBF is $75 for the week, a difference of $10.
If you go 8 days like we usually do, the difference increases to $23.

We bought a cheap stroller at target when we arrived. Much cheaper than rental at the parks.

The (possibly) $25 in savings of buying rather than renting from ABBF would not be worth me spending (including aquiring transportation) 2+ hours of MY VACTION TIME to go fetch a stroller at a store.

Not when I can have a practically new and very clean stroller delivered and waiting for me when I arrive, all for $75.

That goes for groceries too.

My precious vacation time is worth A LOT more to me and my family than the miniscule savings I might see.

:)

I get the user-friendly thing. Until you've used a stroller with better features, you don't really know what you are missing. I say this as somebody who *thought* I had the best stroller ever for my DD- until I got one for DS... now I realize DD's was a POS.

The strollers other companies rent have this feature where you just grab a strap and it collapses, so you can walk right on the bus... the one hand regular type is a bit more work and much more hassle for bus type situations.

The smaller canopies on these are a big deal too if you have two kids with different needs at the same time.
I think if I were taking two babies with identical nap schedules, I would be really excited about this find.

I'm bummed I don't have any use for their strollers because I do want bed rails and they have a $50 minimum!

That's great they offer so many different products.

I think ABBF is great for crib rentals, high chair rentals, etc. we used them a few years ago.

But we really prefer the strollers made for lots of walking, like the City Mini Double used by Orlando Stroller Rental and Magic Strollers. better sunshades, too. We live in a city and used to quality strollers (due to all the walking we do), so prefer to rent the City Mini Double (we bring our own single maclaren, but sold our double mac as our 5 year old rarely rides any more)

if you are staying in a hotel just ask for bed rails at the front desk - Disney hotels have them for free. I would call ahead and ask if you are staying at an off-site hotel. Then you would not have to pay for them. I just returned on Tuesday and had bedrails at Bay Lake with no problems. Granted if you are in a condo this is another story.

More and moer resorts (Disney included) are getting away from offering cribs, bedrails, high chairs, etc., because (I have been told) of the maintenence for upkeep and cleanliness, and cost to replace damaged items.

Which is exactly why we rent from ABBF: every time we receive items that are CLEAN and in great condition.

Depending on who is answering the telephone at a resort, answers to available items can vary greatly. It is not worth the risk of being told by the resort they provide items, only to arrive to discover they don't or ever did.

I know a lot of you have received items from resorts - we don't need to go into who has what and when you did. My point is simply it is not worth the worry for me. I would rather rent and KNOW the nice items will be there as they have every time in the past.
