Any quick ideas for $10 (sorry tight budget). We just got the call about a half an hour ago for a party on Saturday. I love parties but wish I had more time to think/shop.

Mike is Dh's cousin's DS and we really don't know them well. The one thing I do know is he is into acting in the kids therater.

This is only the second time we have been invited to a family party with them, the last was when his big sister (now 16) turned 5.

$10 gift card to video store, or $5 gift card to video store and wrapped up with a movie size box of candy and a few bags of microwave popcorn/kettlecorn.

Get him the 20 questions hand held game (Target/Walmart, etc carry them). They are about $10, maybe $10.99 or something like that. They are a lot of fun and almost all the teens I know want one (we got one for our DS13). I wouldn't get the Itunes card because not all teens have IPods, most teens I know DON'T have them yet (at least middle school teens).

Honestly, I would give him a $10 bill. You don't know this boy well enough to know what he needs or what his interests are much. And you don't have the time/energy to go out to the crowded stores to pick out a gift. So don't beat yourself up trying for figure out what gift to buy, just give money.

I don't know any teenagers that wouldn't be perfectly happy with a card with cash in it.

Thank you everyone!

Yesterday I got him the gift card for BB and did a little theme basket with popcorn and candy.
