A 1BR is the most expensive room type

Based on dozens of board posts, articles, and YT videos I have seen, nothing has separated Disney fans from their money more than making the mistake of staying in a 1BR. It's the same thing every time - "I can't go back to a studio!"
Also, Audis are more expensive than Chevys! And Victoria & Alberts is more expensive than Rainforest Cafe! Don't fall into the trap!!!

Seriously though, unless you're driving the cheapest car, eating the cheapest food, using the cheapest cell phone, wearing the cheapest clothes, sporting the cheapest haircut...everyone has something they choose to splurge on. We're not all operating from the same budget. And even if we were, we wouldn't have the same priorities.

Big Pine Key studios also have mugs :) And ROBES lol. And all the travel toiletries, like mouthwash and the little boxes with shower cap, q-tips, nail file, hair tie, and mini sewing kit.
VDH had robes in the studio and mugs. The travel toiletries with the tiny little necessities is something I miss when we stay DVC. These little things scream deluxe to me. Maybe VGF is for me even though I thought it was too bougie for me by walking the lobby.

My son sported the robe last weekend for the first time and he asked if we could take it home ( I do take home every single pen I come across so thats probably why)
Somehow I ended up with Pixar Pier pen when we stayed at Disneyland Hotel lol. We have a few WDW pens too!

I was surprised when we stayed at Coronado Springs recently. They had the full set of travel toiletries in the bathroom. It’s been a while since we stayed at another WDW moderate but I don’t remember the others having that. I agree that it elevates the feeling of hospitality.

GDT seemed very deluxe to me. Except for the lack of balconies.

I want a Pixer Pier Pen! Recently at Aulani we got a real nice pen, so nice I almost felt guilty for accidentally bringing it home.

We ave stayed BW, BCV, CCV, BLT, VDH, VGC and no toiletries kit at any. I may ask for one just to see if they have it on our next trip at BLT if I end up calling for anything else since we tip when they bring us anything gotta make it worth it.

I could be wrong here but I believe VGF gets robes because the hotel side of GF gives them…they kept it consistent.

Does cash at GC in DL give them?

Good example of the benefits of two available toilets.

I've never understood why people keep saying that the Poly longhouses have two bathrooms. They don't...because they only have one (1) toilet!

Admittedly I’m one of those people who hypes the Poly longhouse studios over other studios for the bathroom space, but I always make it clear in my posts that there is only one toilet. They’re still the best studio as far as bathrooms go!

But now you have reminded me that my one main annoyance with Riviera is that the 1BR, as wonderful as it is in many ways, only has one toilet. I wish all 1BRs across property had two toilets.

I remember one trip where my wife was on her period, my oldest son has Chron’s disease and has to take his time doing his business, and my youngest consistently didn’t ponder that he’d have to use the restroom until it’s near emergency levels…. and then my wife discovered that lobster sandwiches served by Disney have some ingredient that her body disagrees with…. I said NEVER AGAIN. We will either be in 2 studios/hotel rooms or a villa/suite with 2+ bathrooms or we can’t afford to actually go.
Nightmare scenario here! If we have two people or more in a studio I like to try to find out where the closest public restroom is….just in case. It’s a big plus if it isn’t gross.

Agreed.

I wish RIV at least had followed in the footsteps of VGF.
VGF the toilet is in the part where the tub/shower combo is allowing someone to utilize the nice walk in shower.
RIV did the opposite so if someone needs to use the restroom you are stuck using the tub/shower combo unit instead.

What I like about PVB longhouses are there are 2 sinks, mirrors and vanities and it is an actual wall separating the units as opposed to the pocket door.

I wish that RIV had kept the kitchen style of VGF personally, though I do like how RIV does the banquette so it is open towards the living room rather than closed off like VGF. OTOH, VGF, by doing that was able to add a little more storage in the living room.
