are you talking HP????? this is what I have on my confirmation email and when I call it, I am not and have not gotten a recorded message. I get a recording telling me to press 1 etc.. and I need 3. then that recording states the average wait time is 1 minute.. just like yesterday's 1 minute that I hung up on after waiting 91 minutes...

Well, HP charged my credit card an hour ago. Can't decide if that means I am really getting my touch pads or they are just playing mind games with me!

Thanks for posting this. Sounds silly but after hearing so many stores sold out, I didn't think to check back. I figured once their stock was depleted, no more would arrive. There is availability showing near us and another store about 1 hr away. Too late to drive there now but maybe tomorrow.

Dh is driving now to the closer one. I hope their search engine is accurate.

No, says my more technologically advanced DS. This is not like a cell phone, where you need a data plan -- it runs on your computer wifi (or someone else's computer wifi -- stop that, I mean like McDonald's).

well i just hit confirm order from asktp.com, lets hope its a legit site, i was gonna do my business debit but decided to use a cc just in case. and it said the order was processed, its comes out to estimated $104 with fees and ground shipping. Not feeling too good about it expecially that now my gmail says it may not have been sent from that gmail address. Hopefully the damage is not that bad on the cc ..lol.

It only means it's not online. The only way to guarantee inventory is to check with the store.

I got my email confirmation from Bestbuy, so that is on the way!

However, when I go to see my status on HP dot com, I see the the Word ADMIN under Item Status. What does this mean??

It says that there is a ship date of the 27th and I should get it by the 31st, but that word stumps me. Any assistance would be great!

I would not have been upset if I was told there were out of stock then I would have had the opportunity to search elsewhere or have known there was a limited supply but to be informed my order was processed and promised delivery is deceitful.

You expressed anger at HP for your cancelled order, which you ordered from MacMall? How exactly is that HP's fault? I'd be upset too if I was told my order would ship, went through a bunch of credit card mishaps, and then they pulled the rug from under you. But that was MacMall.

Ordered directly from macmall on the phone Monday morning around 7:30am. Got the confirmation email a few hours later with tracking number but it wasn't active yet. Checked it earlier today and it is now tracking. Checked in at UPS facility at 11:30ish and left there at 3:30ish.

That figure is for 2-16G @ $198 , 4-32G @ $596, taxes totally $$50.32 (which are wrong! email has taxes @ $47.64) and shipping @ $44.63 (which according to their recording, will not be charged). I sure hope that when they do ship out, they drop the shipping and correct my taxes....and not just "charge my card"......

Same here! Sad news is i just checked my account and the full charge has been removed. Like it never happen. So no charge no credit. I don't get it.

My daughter B-day is in a week. this was her present. I sure hope this pans out.
