Do you have to stand in line to get your name put on it. Or can you just go to the gates and use it? Is it a park hopper?

We used ours and were able to take it straight to the gate. They didn't ask us to sign it -- we're using it for our niece and we are deluxe AP's. We were prepared to have her sign it if asked. It is a parkhopper, good for 3 separate days.

Is this offer only for southern CA residents? DD and I have deluxe APs for DL, but do not live in the area. DH will join us for a few days this summer and he will need a ticket.

1) A SoCal resident
2) A Baja Cal resident
3) Under the age of 18 and the ticket must have been purchased by a SoCal or Baja Cal resident

There is an age limit to using the ticket as a non-SoCal resident. Just like an airline can't, Disneyland cannot legally a minor to produce a government-issued photo ID.
