Today is the 90 day mark till my Sept trip. Got up early this morning and headed to work to make my ADRs. Got right on at 7am and was on hold for 40 min. In the mean time I was trying out the On-line ADR system and wasn't too impressed. I was able to book Boma for 9/20 but the system couldn't find our hotel reservation (using the number and phone number) so I had to call any way to book the rest of the trip.

I got most of our first choices at around about the times we wanted (not bad considering it is Free Dining time).

So now that the trip is 99% fully planned I am so excited.

You should try Sanna, even if its for lunch! :thumbsup2

I'm not very impressed with the online ADR system either. I wish they would make it more user friendly instead of so "pretty".

The other problem I had was I couldn't get back to my "cart". But it worked so it can't be too bad.

The CM version is almost identical, but without the prettyness :rotfl2:

I made my ADR's yesterday too!!

I did them all online which went well considering my computer froze and I needed to start over again half way through.

I have:

Chefs de France
50's PT
Kona Cafe
Planet Hollywood
Cape May Clam Bake
Tuttio Italia and
Le Cellier (lunch).

Everything I wanted.

Evil Queen, I hope you'll be scouting for me as I will be for you. Do you sport a lime green Mickey Head? (Not that I'd need that to spot you...;))

I love Chefs de France. No I usually don't sport a lime green Mickey Head as last time I wore my DIS Unplugged shirt in the parks this family of crazy DISer wouldn't leave me alone. My traveling companions were teasing me about it all day too. But I'll definitly look for you on the trip, and as it gets closer I can tell you what I'll be wearing.

21st - AK
22nd -MK and MSSHP
23rd - Epcot
24th - Not Sure what we doing yet
25th - DHS

Yeah Rob spotted me at the Adventurer's Club one night and I was so shocked that someone recognized me and then was speachless as I looked like a water logged mess from Hurricane Fay.

You did not look like a mess, waterlogged or otherwise. But you did look a lot like the pictures you've posted only you were wearing glasses.

Of course this trip, depending on the weather I might be in sunglasses and a hat to protect my delicate babe soft skin on my bald head.

SOOOO happy for you!!

Call me old-fashioned, but I like calling to make my ADR's. Just speaking w/ someone LIVE somehow makes it seem more real. I've changed mine SO many times, but have recently FINALIZED mine. Here they are!

Sun- arriving, we'll eat dinner at a monorail resort
Monday- CS for lunch, dinner at VICTORIA & ALBERTS!!! Surprise for my DP!
Tue- CS for lunch, dinner at Ohana
Wed- lunch w/ cousins, yet to be decided, dinner at Le Cellier
Thur- CS for lunch, Fantasmic! dinner package, Hollywood Brown Derby
Fri- CS for lunch, dinner Ragland Road
Sat- Character breakfast at 1900 Park Fare!

I'm BEYOND thrilled about Victoria & Alberts. I'm using some of my bonus money to pay for that one!

Good luck with yours..I won't be surprised if you end up changing some..the closer I am getting, and the more dinning reports I read, forget it~! :confused3 TOO many choices!! Whatever you end up with, it will be magical for sure!!

I'm envious of your Victoria and Alberts ressie! Please be sure to post back about that experience.

I'm just curious about this so maybe someone can enlighten me. One of the things I've noticed and never really understood about WDW, is all of the importance or time spent on dinner reservations.

It seems that a lot of a persons time and effort (and excitement?) in going to WDW is spent on figuring out where/when to go eat. Everything seems to revolve around eating. I guess I'm just use to showing up, grabbing dinner wherever we find something, even when we went to WDW a couple years ago.

Help me understand. :)

I'm with you, although occasionally I'll want a particular restaurant so I'll make a rezzie.

Evil Queen - I had a woman CHASE ME DOWN in MK when she saw the Mickey head on my backpack. I am extremely friendly and talk to EVERYONE but it actually kind of frightened me. She was quite zealous. :scared:

Zeitzeuge - We LOOOVE to eat at WDW. It really does add to the experience. And we go when it is so flippin' hot we like to have somewhere to go in the A/C! :rotfl2: We did a lot of character meals at first, but now we do mostly signature dinners since DS is 13. :)

I never used to plan ADR's so carefully, however this trip I am going during free dining, and without advanced reservations table service is downright nearly impossible to come by at the last minute.

I hate how it ruins the spontaneity of my trip, but it also gives me something to plan and planning keeps me excited until my trip actually arrives.

1. WDW has a ton more eateries in general
2. Alot get full when you actually want to eat.
3. With an ADR you don't wait around as much spending park time just waiting to eat.
4. Free Dining books up resturants big time.

Hey EQ! Glad you got your ADRs done. We can do ours on the 29th. I have been playing around with the online system and I don't like it either so we will be calling! Glad you got what you wanted. Still can't believe we will be missing each other by a day! Rosie too!
