Hi everyone,
I was looking through documentation on the Disney site and trying to see if anyone had come across this situation before. We are scheduled to sail on the Sat 5/28 Fantasy and did a PCR test on Mon 5/16 (12 days before sailing). That test came back inconclusive with the wording "An inconclusive result is most likely an indication of virus present near the limit of detection and should be treated as a result of Detected." As a result, we did another test on Tue 5/17, and that came back positive.
Looking at the wording on Disney's Know Before You Go web page, they mention "If Guests have tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 within 11 to 90 days of their sail date, they may qualify to be considered as “90-Day-Recovered.” That seems to imply that testing positive on Day 11 is included. However, later in the page, they also mention needing to provide "A copy of your previous positive COVID-19 test result which is greater than 11 days and less than 90 days from your expected sail date." That seems to imply that the Tue 5/17 test would not work.
I called Inspire Diagnostics on Tue 5/17 and the person on the phone asked for my sail date and verbally assured me that a positive test on Tue 5/17 would be accepted but that this was the last day for that sailing. However, I thought that it would be good to get that in writing and e-mailed them that question (along with a few others) last night. That reply was more ambiguous and basically said that they didn't know if that lab would accept it and that I should "just upload it and see if the lab accepts it". Of course, the challenge there is that I won't have the Document of Recovery until about 24 hours prior to sailing.
Has anyone here happened to try to apply for 90-Day Recovery with a Day 11 test and been successful? Or has anyone been successful in using an inconclusive/"presumptive positive" test within the 90-day window to get "90-day recovered status"?
Since they are doing antigen testing at the port, it is quite possible that we might test negative anyway. But this would definitely be a less stressful route if it is possible to take.
Thanks in advance for any experiences that people might be able to share!!
