9 Year Old Birthday Boy - Ideas?

We've had a trip in May planned for awhile and now we are lucky enough to have my nephew go with us. He will turn 9 during our trip so I would like to plan something special for him. My current itinerary has us at Epcot on his birthday with brunch PSB ps (not too great for a 9 year old boy but I think he'll enjoy it anyway) and dinner ps at Rest Marrakesh. Rest Marrakesh does not do birthday cakes. I'm trying to figure out a way to make the day special without totally rearranging our plans. Any ideas are appreciated!

At 9 DS wanted NOTHING to do with the princesses. He really was not crazy about any of the resturants at Epcot but sort of liked the Coral Reef. He does love Epcot just not his favorite place to eat. I would consider dinner after the day at Epcot somewhere else. Sci-Fi or Prime Time at MGM, EPSN, Rainforest Cafe, WCC at Wilderness Lodge, Ohanna's at Polly, Cheif Mickey, Liberty Tree Tavern are all good for boys. You might could be a Character Breakfast to start the day. Again Cheif Mickey, or if you do not mind park hopping, Donalds at Ak was my DS's favorite at that age. Good luck. That is really a fun age to be at WDW.

I would not recommend princesses for a 9 yo boy. DS will be 8 on our next trip and has already said he will not be happy if he has to go to a princess meal w/ his sister. (Which he is being forced too.) DS loved Chef Mickey's, Ohana's, and Donalds Breakfastasaurus at AK. These are the place we are returning b/c he has chosen them and b/c he is being forced to eat w/ Princesses and Pooh. But if he had the choice he would not eat w/ them. I just wish Disney would take our suggestions and make a boy character meal!!!!
