9 person Whispering Canyon

I want to book Whispering Canyon at 60+3 for a group of 6 adults, 2 toddlers and a 1 year old. I'm new to this whole ADR thing - from what I've seen, Whispering Canyon has abundant space if I wanted to do 8 guests (can easily book at less than 60 days), however there is absolutely no availability on any day at any time for a group of 9. Is it just much more competitive for >8 people? Or is 9 a "large group" and I need to call for a reservation of that size? Or do they not take groups of 9?

Just tried the 10 person. For the 8 days you can check in September right now, every single day had availability at every single meal for 8 people. There was no availability for any meals for any of the days with 10 people. Seems quite strange that it would be so easy to get an 8 person reservation and impossible for 10.

They may not have 10-person tables already in place. I’d make ADRs for 6+4, arrive early, tell them you’re together and would like to sit as close together as possible, and be prepared to wait a few minutes for them to set up. They’ll do their best.

We once had a 10 person group during Thanksgiving of all weeks, our mistake

Anyway, I had MUCH better luck by calling into reservations by phone. they transferred me to a group reservation number and they helped me book almost everything. that was about 5 yrs ago so it may be different now.
