Well...I said I was going to do Star Wars, but decided to do the pool first. DD4, DS3 and I stayed back at the pool while the others went to Star Wars Weekend at DHS.
After we ate breakfast in the CL lounge, we headed to the pool. As you can tell....the rain is coming our way! We have been super fortunate this week...barely any rain whatsoever.
Now...before I get too far into this installment, let me warn you that my opinion will be stated...I'm not trying to offend anyone, just making observations
We got out to the pool really early...probably around 9am. Notice that there are not many people at all!! One great thing about the Poly Pool is the swallow area for the little ones AND I could sit in the edge of the water and watch them play while not getting hot.
I was shocked to see how many tables were already reserved (towels laid across the chairs & on table). Of course, I was anxious to see how many of these reserved tables were actually going to be "used".
The reason I say "used" is because previously in the week, we noticed that many tables had "stuff" on them, but people actually didn't sit there...guess it's just a place to lay their belongings

Surprisingly enough, on this Saturday, the pool was fairly empty. The first Saturday and Sunday that we were there, the pool was completely packed out!!! It was scary...really!
Notice the life jackets?? We thought about bringing our own, but found out before our trip that we could "check out" life jackets at the marina. Just give them your room key and sign your name...very simple! It was really convenient for our family.
Check out the dark sky!!! I knew it was going to rain, but couldn't complain because of the great weather we had all week.
Volcano Slide - Kids loved it!! Okay, let me rephrase that...DS9 & DD4 loved it! DS3 went down it once and didn't hate it, but wanted one of us to go down with him...of course that's against the rules. All of us adults did try it out! Lots of fun!
Hot Tub - There isn't one!!! Honestly, this doesn't bother us at all. I know that some people have big hang ups with this, but not a big deal to us. This certainly wouldn't deter us from making another ressie here.
Pool Bar - Great!! if you like strong drinks...be warned! The drinks aren't for the faint of heart

And they aren't cheap.
Underwater Music - This is really cool. DS9 thought this was the coolest thing ever...stick your head under water and there's music!
Splash Area - Alright....here is a small complaint...nothing major, and nothing that would stop me from coming back to the Poly.
The "splash area" for the smaller children is SMALL! Not much to it at all. DS3 went over there and after a couple of minutes he was bored with it.
I wasn't impressed with this area...it seems that Disney would put a little more thought into the "splash section" since the pool has such a great theme! JMO...
Okay...this is the sign that DH and I got a kick out of.....read below...."Bathing Load: 110 Persons"
Like I said earlier, the previous Saturday and Sunday were so packed, you really couldn't swim. There were certainly more than 110 people in the pool. I knew before I went that the pool could get crowded, but I didn't expect the masses that fell upon the Poly on May 22nd and May 23rd. The Poly needs to do something about this.
Okay....enough negative...you're going to think I hate the Poly and that is soooooooo not the case...I LOVE it. Here's a positive...nothing like sitting in the pool and looking at the castle and the GF, watching the boats go back and forth to the MK....GREAT!
Notice the dark sky?? They closed the pool down for a while when it started to thunder. So, needless to say, it was time to head for the CL lounge for a snack.
When we got back to the room, I looked out of the door and this is what I saw....
It was kinda scary looking! Glad it was time for lunch and a nap!
Up next....Star Wars....and that's a promise
