9 days out and wait list approved

At Easter I was lucky to get a studio at SSR for the end of the month but I wait listed BLT and WL in case they would open. I wanted to try a new place for my solo trip and today it came through. I am now booked at WL.

I had been stalking the availability thread since I booked and nothing came up so I was shocked that this came in.

I know there is constriction but that's fine, super excited about the boat to MK and the resort even though I don't know much about it. So what should I not miss? Don't care about sit downs either.

It's getting close now, should start packing

We just stayed there and had a great time. Construction is visible but didn't bother us as all. TOWL is nice to try if you haven't been there yet. Have a great trip.

Oppps not a thread on here I meant on the DVC member page where you can track resort availability to make reservations

I have read a few trip reports about VWL construction and for the most part, folks have been very positive, feeling like the work hasnt bothered them at all. We love the Lodge, enjoy! Be sure to listen for the faint western themed music so subtle, look for lanterns flickering at night while the crickets chirp

Okay thanks for the info. I am hoping for a wait list to come through for Kidani 1 bdrm. 5/20-5/26 and have been checking every day. Wanted to make sure there wasn't somewhere else I should be looking. I think the wait list is a long shot at this point but will be happy with Jambo if it doesn't. I just didn't realize Jambo only has 1 bathroom and I am traveling with 3 teens! The extra bathroom would come in really handy.

Congratulations. With the construction at the Villas you will need to use the amenities at the main lodge. For some quiet time head up to the second floor at the Lodge and right above main entrance is small fireplace and very comfortable chairs. I get my vanilla cupcake from Roaring Fork and head over to that fireplace to relax. You can also enjoy the fireplaces at the Villas. I also like to walk over to the campgrounds and visit the horses. You can also take a boat around the lake or to the Contemporary or the Campgrounds. Have a great time.
