9 - 80 work schedules - Need Advice

Can anyone tell me how the 9 -80 schedule works at your company.

What happens when you have your scheduled Friday off and it is a holiday?

Any text of doc with info would be greatly appreciated.

This sounds like what my DH works. I just didn't know it's called a 9-80 schedule.

For a two week period, he works:

1st week - 9 hours (M-TH)
8 hours Friday.
2nd week - 9 hours (M-TH)
Friday off.

If a holiday falls on a Friday off, another day (usually the following Monday) will be the designated holiday day off.

Yes, this is what I am looking for but I am trying to find a written policy itself to model as we are pushing for this for our company.

In my husband's company (an oil major) if the holiday falls on a Friday, the Thursday before is the day off. If the holiday falls on a Monday, they get the Tuesday off.
